J’avais cherché ce qui expliquerait pourquoi The Police aurait fait une musique en français, ou pourquoi Sting parlerait français, j’ai vraiment rien trouvé. Ils avaient sûrement juste envie.

This means something: he can remember the lyric in French! European culture, but even so Sting is unique at that.

Great uploads. I never got to see The Police perform as I was still a child.

That's the F1 racing version and in French from the start. Some comments about his accent but imo opinion it's "close enough for rock'n'(or)roll. (A mixed quote from Shawn Phillips and reverend Lovejoy.) I like to think the French part(s) of this song was to avoid censorship. And there's that one line I don't think anyone ever figure. The one that end with "les fesses" (buttocks or buttcheeks).

Just got the brilliant idea to google the lyrics..! 🤷‍♂ Not "Les fesses" but "traîtresse". -"Ça y est alors ma belle traîtresse" Still. at the speed they play it it's a quickie. 😅

That’s fine. Sting has said he did use coke to get himself on stage when nothing else would and felt that was a legitimate use of the drug.

A friend from high school saw them on that tour whereas I didn't see them until Synchronicity tour. I kinda would rather have seen them when y'all did much better album imo.... Still had a good time, though, was a senior in high school '84

Disagree, like this faster version with a horn+ guitar solo. It has a bit more muscle than the album version. Would like to hear the album version redone with the solos

This sucks terribly compared to the studio version. And why the heck did they increase the tempo so much? Fail.
