This brings tears to my eyes. Why? because this was my era. These sisters were pure talent, showmanship, creative integrity, joy. No digital b.s. No special effects. No studio manipulation. Great women!

Well thank you to the last 5 comments.....everything I wanted to say.....let me add, with respect to all the woman Groups of the past.....the Pointer Sisters are the best......line up each woman groups best song and performance , none can compare to any of the Sisters up tempo songs...maybe Heat Wave...close.....do not know how people could pick the Supreme's as the number one female Group.....The sisters could sing ballads ,Jazz, Country RnB, plus, their showmanship was unmatched....should be in the Rock n Roll Hall of fame.........Jump would make a dead person get up and dance.....can you imagine being at that show in Paris.....

June Pointer was so reserved in interviews. On stage... she was an energetic, undeniable and incomparable force. She was a free and fun loving spirit, she'd sing her butt off. The stage was her domain, where she could forget her tragic past and the troubles in her life at the time. Rest in peace, June Pointer.

June Pointer, shown from 40:05, to, 44:06, in pink, blue, and, white, could have had a concert by herself. It could have been a two and a half hour concert.(2 1/2 hour concert.) Tickets could sell for $450.00(four hundred and fifty dollars) each. The venue could be where the Michigan State Spartans play their home football games, where capacity is about 102,000(one hundred and two thousand) people. The place would be packed, and sold out, LONG BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE DATE. JUNE POINTER WAS ONE SUUUUPERBAAAAD GIRL.

Goodness, when I think about Pointer Sisters memories... Buying all their singles, vinyl albums, 12" singles... Then buying all the albums on Cd over again... Recording all their videos from TV onto VHS, including this concert, plus the "Up All Night" special. The Pointer Sisters have always been such a joy for me. I know they had their share of troubles, having read Ruth's book and Anita's book, but they never let it show. I'm in awe and always will be until the day my time comes 🙏 Bless Ruth, Anita, Bonnie and June 💗

Then you should search better...or maybe develop a bit..I grew up with Elvis & then their were the Pointer Sisters, Jimi Hendrix and so on....now being 70* ...most of that music is still nice to listen too and maybe one or two songs of the PS can compete with today, for Jimi it is not problem...Yes we can is still for many reasons a great song. But to say that today we have crap music...either you listen the wrong music or you just are tooooooo old. There's so much great music today ...and in line of "we can" this is the power music from now: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZGZmkq-diLm2d9o.html

@@jonelllassiter3422 ask your grand-grand children for advise...they know the music that doesn't sound all the same.... However, your complain sounds familiar to me...in the sixties my parents said the same the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Pointer Sisters...for them it all sounded the same I'm afraid you have the same problem, it's not the music that is boring...

Very unfortunate to say however we lost Bonnie pointer of The pointer sisters on June the 8th 2020 in Los Angeles California at the age of 69 she died of a cardiac arrest and she had been it suffering from health problems for many many years. Only two of the original I still alive and that is Anita and Ruth pointer. Anita still performs with the group and for her due to health problems she now has retired and spends her time on the road with her daughter and granddaughter. Thank you.

Amazing huge talent !!! All three of these remarkable women are phenomenal lead singers, yet they blend with their harmonies so well when each is featured !!! The greatest in my book !!! I wish I could have caught them live back then !!! Also I read some comments about whether they were under rated or they got the recognition they deserved ??? So I have to say until they are inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they haven't gotten the their deserving recognition !!! They sould be in !!! Greatest female vocal group ever !!! I love them !!!

There's a difference between the BEST and the GREATEST. These sisters are without a doubt the latter. Forget the Beatles. Beyon-WHO????? Forget everything for a little while. You've been almost-unimaginably wrong your entire life. Take it from someone who knows it firsthand!
