My wife isn't a jazz fan, but when she heard this...her eyes got big, and said, that's "La Pantera Rosa"! It makes sense in Spanish-speaking countries or anywhere there is no dialogue,

Jazz is a completely different level of music. Classical is beauty in motion, Rock is our rebellious side, but Jazz is the mystery. Who doesn't love a good mystery?

I don't like jazz with those over-hasty trumpets but Dave Brubeck - Take Five or Bolling and Rampal - Baroque and Blue is wonderful to listen to.

And they said playing the triangle at school wouldn’t get you anywhere 🤔

It's a jazz song, mainly played by big bands. _"orchestras are on another level man"_ Doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it is an orchestra. Just like any other musical group, there are good and bad orchestras.

I watched the movie this morning. I even played this for a piano recital when I was 10 years old. Needless to say my piano playing 57 years ago, didn't even come close to this great performance.

The sax player is the definition of cool.

I think one of the things that is most spectacular about their work is that they play it EXACTLY as it was done on iconic movies, not stylized into to something half assed recognizable... They are truly wonderful!

I don't think this is ever done with this type of music. Classical, Jazz, film scores.. they all follow the rules of the sheetmusic, with minor variations.

My Childhood is in my Ears. I Watched a Pink Panther Cartoons. Superb.

The percussionists in this look like they were living their best life. Mind you, if someone told their 8 year old self that one day they'd play this music in front of an audience, I'd be 8 years old all over again too 😅👏👏👍👍

I've seen this orchestra live many many times, and I usually spend half the time just watching those guys. Doesn't matter if it's this type of music or more conventional classical music - they always seem to be having the time of their lives.

One of the most famous sax riffs ever composed, and Ulrik absolutely smokes it.

Henry Mancini was a genius...This piece played by this wonderful orchestra with no doubt incredibly gifted musicians who seemed to really feel the jazzy up beat of this music, is the reason I love music so much...

I remember being a kid in the 70s. Every time a Pink Panther movie came out, it was a big deal!! You never forget good music like this. Listen to the crap they play these days.

I just remember the cartoon, it was 20 minutes on TV listening Jazz, amazing melody for amazing childhood memory.

This is not music ... This is magic.

Whenever there's a stealth scene on my D&D sessions, I play this. It sets the mood.

Henry Mancini was a genius with this style of music and that horn at the end is killer...

The definition of smooth. Legendary.

I love how at the end of that amazing, no that transcendent solo, Mr Ulrik pulls the sax away from his mouth and casually nods...just another day at the office. Meanwhile, I'm reeling at what I've just seen. It was a treat watching him pour everything he had into that 'phone. Let's not forget the backup, too. The horns and the strings were perfectly complementing each other.

I love Pink Panther and this theme music and Peter Sellers so much already. This is so good, cool, classy, joyful, tasteful and it performed so well, it made my eyes teared up because of its musical greatness.

Henry Mancini is my all time favorite modern composer. I had his albums when I was in high school! Along with the Beatles. My parents didn't know what to do with me. I always loved the sound of an orchestra.

What a cracking rendition. These guys, and gals, are truly excellent !

Love Henry Mancini's music, including all of the work he did on Peter Gunn. I love how he puts jazz improvisation into his music.

Just hearing the first few notes - I break out in laughter - Inspector Clusoe. Mancini's title sequence for Shot In The Dark is another excellent one.

i love both themes but I prefer the A shot in the dark over the pink panther. maybe because they also used it in the Inspector segment of the PP show.

Their cameraman is fantastic , also very smart insight into the eye perception music also

This song perfectly represents jazz music. It’s sweet and mellow when it needs to be, yet Rocky like and brassy when it feels like. Ah it’s so perfect

The Pink Panther was/is a multi-generational phenomenon. I'm 17 and I enjoyed it when I was younger, and if you ask most people from my generation what this piece of music is, they'd tell you correctly.
