The Perpetual Motion of Water Fountain - Boyle's Funnel with Pressurizer

Ғылым және технология

In this video we made a perpetual motion water fountain better known as Boyle's Funnel, which in this case has a device that raises the water pressure causing it to return to the point of origin. All you need is a funnel, which in the video is a bottle, silicone tubes and a bottle as a pressurizer. This type of construction is known as infinite energy machines or Perpetual Motion.
This device of ours is just a scientific challenge, but there is a very interesting construction known as the Heron Fountain that manages to make the water fountain actually feed itself, at least for some time.

    English translation of original reply: The moment he lifts the platform, a transparent tube appears! Another thing that caught my attention is that the water in the funnel is colored, but then when it comes back it is transparent, isn't this change occurring through the hose that appears in his right hand?

    Nice slight of hand. 👏🏼 at 5:22 you cut from water flowing, but just before you block the view with your arm to move things around to show there’s nothing else hidden going on it’s plain to see there is no water flowing, no perpetual flow from the fountain. Then at 5:44 you cut again and magically the fountain is flowing again. Hehe 😂😂

  • @geertwilders5798

    @geertwilders5798

    Жыл бұрын

    @@kiwuuspurr1927 The energy input equals the energy output, always. Because you can't create or destroy energy. You can only transfer it, mostly from one form to another. The input energy would be water falling down. Were taking advantage of gravity to create a potential difference in height. The problem is that part of the output energy is, to us at least, lost energy. This depends on the type of installation. Your ending up with less energy than you originally put in, because part of the energy was lost. "Lost", so not disappeared. In this case, you have the resistance of the watermill. This includes the moment of inertia of the wheel of the watermill. What this means, is that when the falling water pushes on the wheel to rotate it, the mass of the wheel itself will cause resistance to the water pushing on it. You also have the friction of the mill wheel rotating on it's axis. To profit from the output you would have to install a generator to the rotation axis. This generator will also create some losses because of it's own resistances. So, if this entire system ends up having a efficiency of say 95% that you get an output energy that Equals 95% percent of the input energy. With this less amount of energy you have to now bring up the water again to the needed height so that it can fall on the water mill again. But you can't because you don't have the same amount of energy (output energy) as you originally put in (input energy). So, bringin the water back up again is impossible, let alone powering external users. So, this type of system can never work.

    You can obviously replicate this. But to your amazement, it won’t work 😅 perpetual machines and pumps have been theorised since da Vinci’s time. Head loss, friction and water level difference are the main reasons among others. Anyways, just imagine if this is the case, then add a turbine in between and voila! Somebody solved the global energy problem😂 Oh for those who are asking what’s the small bottle for, it’s called an accumulator. It stores energy and pressure. Of course in time the pressure accumulated will be released and if there is enough energy coming back, it will recharge. Again, head loss and friction 😅 Happy hunting guys
