"The Perfect World" | A Poem by Khalil Gibran
Narrated by Daniel "Avi" Avinash
In this poem, Khalil Gibran writes about an ideal way to live in order to take advantage of all that God has created, and thereby craft a perfect world.
The writer states what exactly a perfect world might look like. He does so by laying out a standard of life. However, he then appears quite distressed as he begins to realise that he is unable to achieve this "impossible" standard of living.
This poem was apparently written after Mr Gibran was invited to recite some of his work at Harvard University, the most refined institution that upholds the virtues of the 4th and 5th level systems. He was humiliated and ridiculed immediately after for using a style called “free verse”, something that fell outside the quantifiable measure of Harvard at the time.

Some say “How is this my life?” Some say “Why is this my life?” Optimism and collecting the positive and forgetting the negative are some beautiful things to aspire to.
Anyone else listening to the entire playlist in meditation? I cannot thank Daniel enough for this masterpiece: the narration and music are pure perfection that goes right through the heart and into the soul. ❤
These lines are more than simply poetry to me, I cannot thank you enough for this kindness sir. It's a great work of art by a great poet and an equally great rendition by one who strives to make poetry unforgettable. Looks like I got my New Year's Gift! Thank you again!
The tenderness of his voice and the emotional energy in it add so much depth to this piece. Thank you very much sir❤

His words came right out of his heart. You can find yourself, or the self in it
An exquisite video. Compliments from the depth of my heart. I listen time and again for this amazing presentation in its entirety.
