My silence morning awaken Outside Window winds are in the air blowing, I saw the light wave of sounds Like the loveliest pen written fulfill an empty fate The strangest words mountains of dreams, Looking out embraced everlasting life With burning mind, 💓 heart like Autumn fall, give to you the last you love Honor, anger love, that's life So far, forget me not, embrace that freaking awesome dreams Forever light Speech the 💓 heart for the short of words, And a things not seen with eyes With a green, pinky broken hope for a sweet love pillows at night. That William Ernest Henley poem gave me chills! Powerful delivery! Subbed. The most evil trick ever pulled on men was convincing them that poetry was ever unmasculine, when the words of men like Emerson, Kipling and Henley have taught me more about what it is to be a man than I could have learned in a thousand lifetimes.

In full agreement with you, TJ Blaidd. And that is an understatement.. The fact that the word 'masculine' is under a cloud of late is one of the saddest occurrences since sliced bread. Just joking. But I am serious here, so make that '..since the big bang'. Honestly. The idea that striving for some honour, pride and steadfastness is considered toxic nowadays is very very unfortunate. This poetry is so powerful, has so much clout. Perhaps people shy away from it because it is so confronting, such a nose-rub telling you how meagre the catch is that you landed on the shores of the sea that is Life. Then again it must be understood (I think) that 'man' and 'men' oftentimes are metaphors, denoting or connoting 'person' or 'persons'. This is rather obvious. Poetry is all about connotation and implying the unsayable. Furthermore, one-syllable-words have special status in poetry for they are the embodiment of condensement. Also, 'person' is the least sexy word imagineable. Having said that, I vividly recall how a clutch of young teachers at a Department of English in a Northern town in The Netherlands at one time collectively scathingly dismissed the poem 'If" by R. Kipling, predominantly I felt, because of the last line. They also deemed it unbearably jingoistic. My simple take on it is that the last line is universal. An offering to all people. On a side note, I regret beyond measure how I (and many others) completely missed what, in one way or another, was made available to me at high school.

As someone that was without a father at birth. IF by Rudyard Kipling gives me chills every time I listen to it. I have set my own example of the man I need and yearn to be. I can read this poem hundreds and thousands of times as I have and it still gives me goosebumps. The man I need to be through the good times and the bad. Bad times are here and I am going to pull through with this added strength and wisdom.

Watching videos on KZread, About life-changing poems for hard times, The world around me fades away, As I get lost in the words and rhymes. The words they speak are solace, In a world that's sometimes tough, The poets' lines are pure and true, Their words, they're more than enough. Each stanza's like a warm embrace, That wraps around my soul, The phrases are like lullabies, That make me feel whole. The tears that flow down my cheeks, Are like raindrops in the night, As I watch those moving videos, I feel like I'm taking flight. So I'll keep on watching videos, On KZread, for sure, For the poems that they offer, Are a balm, that will endure.

Great poems written by otherwise great men who lived through the toils and joys of life and everything in between. Younger men especially should read and take to heart the lessons of prior generations of great men who still have lessons to teach and hand down to the present generation and so on..once heard my parish priest say good men live by virtue but great men not only live virtuously but rather influence others to live a life of virtue themselves.

Mr. Morris, offered advice and assistance to me...A low key guy, he read the story and added background music to the story to add impact of a loss; My wife suffered! It was a Beautiful read, and did it Gratis! He the Narrator , truly has the (VOICE) of GOD!😇
