The perfect treatment for diabetes and weight loss

Ғылым және технология

Full video and many more with Dr. Fung: www.dietdoctor.com/the-perfec...
What is the perfect treatment that can cure type 2 diabetes (!) and lead to effortless weight loss? Listen to the eloquent Dr. Jason Fung describe it in this 12-minute part of a longer interview.
** Observe: This treatment is extremely effective. If you have diabetes and take blood sugar lowering medication (especially insulin injections) you may need to reduce the doses a lot to avoid potentially dangerous hypoglycemia. You may instantly become too healthy for your medication. **
In the full 45 minute interview Dr. Fung goes into more detail about exactly how to add fasting to your low-carb diet, important things to consider and how to avoid potential problems.

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article kzread.infoUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. kzread.infoUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I went from size 5 to size idk because I don't even want to know the real number. I hate looking at pics of myself now or me before. thank you for your video it's time to make a change.

*My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*

I have the same problem I’m always thirsty but I don’t have diabetes I often joke that I have diabetes insipidus which is not actually diabetes. It’s a rare hereditary problem with the kidneys not regulating fluids properly. I haven’t been diagnosed but I’m pretty sure I have the suspicion it’s a problem of the kidneys or the hypothalamus

I once watched a show called “Mystery Diagnosis” where a girl had to carry a gallon of water because she had to have water all the time. She never showed as diabetic, however, they finally found that she was indeed diabetic but her numbers didn’t show it. I can’t remember how they figured it out…how she was diabetic but numbers didn’t show it. I wonder if your daughter went on a low carb (Keto or Plant based) if she would not need so much water.

Dr Fung is my hero. In January 2021 I was 55 yrs old in menopause and more than 100 lbs over weight. I had quit smoking the year before and in menopause. Even though I thought I was eating healthier the weight was staying on. I was too exhausted to exercise and was restricting my calories. I started watching Dt Fung. I tossed my high carb cereal and low fat options and went strictly low carb about 20 net carbs a day and started intermittent fasting 16 hours a day. I am doing healthy keto more plant based keto and extended fasts for up to 3 days a week. I am 15 lbs away from loosing 130 lbs. I am so thankful for you Dr Fung. You changed my life. 😊

@@georgekelly5987 The short answer is yes. At least temporarily. The benefits of fasting are astounding. It is a good idea to learn as much about all forms of it as you can. Ramadan is actually a form of intermittent fasting. OP is wishing that they'd known better because we know so much more about fasting than we used to. There are videos about all the different forms all over KZread and websites all throughout the internet on the subject, yet mainstream media and medicine and the food industry all have at their hearts interests that conflict with reality. So they lie. And public health continues to get worse.

You can look him up by name on youtube and google and get his plans, but essentially, he's telling you to start intermittent fasting, and cut out carbs and sugar. Allow your body to start breaking down its stores of fat and use that to fuel your body instead of food. Once you reach homeostasis, or balance and your health and numbers are normal, you permanently change your diet to a healthy one of mainly fruits and veggies. You can cure diabetes, cancer and all disease processes this way.

As A diabetic of 10 yrs who couldn’t get my sugars under control - even when they quadrupled my meds I remained at 250 fasting. I will say this: 6 months ago I started a super low carb ....calories were from 5% net carbs, 25% protein and 70% good fat diet (keto) along with light fasting periods of 12-16 hrs a couple times a week. I did lose 30lbs, my blood sugars are now completely normal with NO PRESCRIPTIONS. After 10 yrs with no real control!!! So, I’m happy to agree with Dr. Jason Fung . What he’s saying is exactly true in my case, as well as others I know too. It’s a DIETARY disease for sure! UPDATE: 4/24/2020... Now down 45 lbs! Still no need for meds UNLESS I eat alot of fruit. In one afternoon got a little crazy and ate 1/2 banana, 1 cup of raspberries and 3/4cup papaya... Glucose hit 190... So I did have to take some meds... Still have to watch what I eat! So beware...and stay on that low carb lifestyle!

As of today, I have been a diabetic over 20 years. My doctor always told me that cut out the red meat and work out. Over last 20 years I have not even lost one pound but I ended up gaining weight. My doctor told me that I will have diabetes for the rest of my life. He also said that I will run out of insulin soon if I don’t cut of red meat and work out. 3-5-2022 I had a blood test. Found out that I have high proteins in my urine. 4-14-2022 I had a CT Scan. I ended up with fatty liver and a lot of gallstones on my right kidney. That’s when I started to google on KZread found my life saver Dr. Eric Berg and Dr. Jason Fung. I started eating Keto and Intermittent Fasting. As of today 6-4-2022 My ( HGB A1C) is 5.6 My ( Cholesterol ) is high 452 Kidney and liver tests are normal and don’t have Hepatitis C Infection also I lost my dream weight and I am very happy and healthy. I wish all will with good health and spread the information to all your love one. God Bless.

Dr. Fung is absolutely correct about intermittent fasting. As one of my strategies of correcting insulin resistance in my own body I began intermittent fasting. I eat nothing from about 7 PM to noon the next day. It has worked wonders. I am not hungry at all each morning and do not crave breakfast. My A1C is going down.

One statement ahead: I am working in drug development and therefore my income depends on the development of new medicines. To all the haters: only productive comments please. I looked into intermittent fasting for quite some time and the results are very impressive. One should also add that you have to cut your alcohol consumption to 0 as well. The problem with this approach is its beauty at the same time - all you need is the action of the patient. Patients, or ideally overweight people with a sugar addiction prior to become diabetic, can control their insulin levels themselves. All it takes is a bit of discipline... but it comes with two problems: 1) Someone needs to tell them and give instructions. Probably many doctors aren't aware of the effectiveness and they cannot bill life coaching. Doctors should be paid for keeping people healthy, not prescribing meds... but that's a different story. 2) People are super lazy. They just don't want to get their ass of the couch if there is a pill that does the same. Well, it doesn't do the same, but they believe that they are all set... As for Discipline; I love this Mike Tyson quote:"“Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but nonetheless doing it like you love it.”

@@NOOR5083 I like some parts of Islam, some parts of it I don't like. I like fasting, brotherhood, helping the poor, helping others, love for Allah. What I don't like: Prophet Mohammed. Why? He either changes his mind, lies a lot and breaks his oaths. Like he is not trusthworthy. He says no compulsion in religion yet he invades mecca and force converts the meccans. he also tells people that he will invade, either convert, stay but pay taxes (jizya) or be exiled. He also killed people who surrenders in wars including defenseless young boys, poets and singers. He attacks during Ramadan. He says death is better than unbelief when breaking his oath, saying Allah says so. I don't think he is really a prophet because he is a thief and slaver. He also commands muslims to fight non muslims until there is no more fitnah or unbelief, if so, jihad is not for defense anymore but for invasion. Islam will know no peace because of this because the world will not accept Islam because of how forceful it is.

I have been borderline diabetic for a while now. In a recent family emergency, in which I emerged as a caretaker, I saw my glucose numbers climbing into diabetes. In this situation, I was under immense pressure, with two hrs of sleep each day, and an undeniably unhealthy diet. At 64 yrs of age, I knew I was in trouble. I handed the caretaking responsibility to another family member and began focusing on reversing the danger I imposed on my body. I'm grateful to Dr. Jason Fung because it's been his phenomenal medical approach that has helped me slowly reverse this danger.

After a successful 72 hour fast, two days of eating and a full day of fasting yesterday my sugar levels are at 4 this morning - no shakes and feeling great. No medication. In the past when I had a 4 with metformin and insulin I had the shakes and binged on sugar to feel right. Additionally, I am 5 pounds away from the lower range of my ideal weight and my stomach is the flattest I have seen it since I came back from Greece 20 years ago where I literally walked my butt off for a month.

@Kyrin Slaughter yes! Dr. Fung. My family doctor referred me to him and Dr. Berg. Intermittent fasting is key and clean Keto makes a huge difference. Between the two of them and eating healthy this way makes a huge difference. I remain one of the very few who have not been sick nor had any symptoms throughout the recent plague.

What a lovely spoken man this doctor is. I am going to be looking into all his video's concerning this because as a recently diagnosed type 2 diabetic, I am trying my hardest to avoid the medications they so easily throw at you here in the UK. Quite a few members in my family had type 2 and 2 of them went on to have insulin injections ( I always thought these were only given to type 1 patients). Thank you so much Dr Fung for sharing this with me. Much appreciated.

I was diagnosed with 12.8 A1c,in less than six months I dropped it down to 5.6 without a single pill in my mouth (only the first 3 days then I stopped them.) Lost weight, watched the food I eat(healthyfood), no more sugary drinks ,no more fast food. Thank you so much again for your informative videos.

6 years ago I was diagnosed with early diabetes, put on over 25kg of weight and had bad symptoms.. it took 8 doctors to figure out that I had a very high insulin. I followed Dr Jason Fung and Dr Eric Berg advice and 4 months later my diabetes wasn't there anymore. I had lost the excess weight, my vision improved, I had energy and clear head. Fasting and low carb diet has worked wonders for me.. although doctors were telling me that diets do not work and my sugars and insulin will go up again - it's been 6 years and I didn't have high insulin not once since then.. Thank you to such great people like Dr Jason Fung who share this amazing priceless information with us!!!

My A1C dropped from 11.3% to 5% after 3 months and to 4.6% after 6 months. Now my A1c is 4.6-4.7% every time. I would say losing all the excess weight, intermittent fasting and of course eating healthier was the key...at least in my case

This doctor is on point because I am the proof of what he has just educated us. As a type 2 diabetic since I started taking insulin 5 years ago I gained 85 lbs. I have lost 95 lbs in 4 and half months. From 435 down to 330 and my goal is 240 lbs. My life style change consisted of 80 % good fats and 20 % good carbs . I eat 2 meals a day one at 11am second at 6 pm. Then that's it no food in take after 6 pm. So basically I'm feasting about 18 hours only intake I consume is half litre of lemon water and just water it self. My A1c went from 10.3 down to 6.1 last week. Also 30 minute walk or tredmil every day. In Begining I couldn't walk more then 10 minutes now I can go for an hour. I was taking 100 units a day and 3 medication once a day just for diabetes and 3 for hp , plus quick pen insilin every day. I have cut that in half now. I wish you folks the best who is going through what I did and another thing , majority of doctors are not like this doctor who became a doctor to help mankind. The majority of doctors just want to add more medicine in your body to come back every month like use to do. Peace to all and thank you Dr Jason Gung your good man.

Thank you Dr. Fung! I reversed my type 2 diabetes in 10 months from 7.9 to 5.5 (5.3 with my newest test) by following your intermittent fasting protocol. I chose to do the daily 16:8 and only stuck to low carb the first two weeks, but the daily 16:8 worked just fine on its own. I also ate and drank things no diabetic has any business having. It just doesn’t seem to matter much what I eat, as long as I get in 16 hours of clean fasting each day. So I’m proof it works even if people won’t change their diets. The low carb in the beginning did help to reduce how much sugar I was eating once I reintroduced refined carbs back into my diet, so I tell people to stick with that as long as they can. I see my doctor this week to discuss when to reduce the victoza I’ve been on. He and the dietician he sent me to have been thrilled with my progress. My blood pressure, cholesterol, and inflammation are now all normal too. I didn’t learn about intermittent fasting in time to save my dad or my uncle, but I tell everyone I can how it saved me and how it can save them too!
