Love this ball machine! I have the original SpinFire and it is AWESOME! The internal oscillation is the best! I bought the one with the internal battery and I charge it downstairs in my garage with a battery pack. It’s pricey but worth it! And the customer service is terrific, they are incredibly helpful. ❤
I just recieved my spinfire pro2 ball machine today. I too am a coach and have used machines as a part of my teaching for my 37 year career. I've owned at least 7 different machines in that time. The machine I have been using for the past 5 years is the SpinShot Player. This too is a great machine for a coach. With the DrillMaker app you can design 12 custom drills to suit most training situations. So why did I buy a Spinfire pro2? Top reasons are: simplicity of use(setup to first ball shot) better oscillation speeds, internal oscillation, small/light multifunction remote, immediate feed when in remote mode and ball drop sensor. What blew me away was the build quality. The motor is virtually silent. The machine is stable and doesn't walk when in use. Thank you for your video. It sealed the deal for me.

@ayratkhalimov1648 this is still a great machine. Zero issues but I did pull the trigger and bought a Proton ballmachine by Hydrogen Sports. I missed the ability to program drills. I also, like how portable it is and that it runs on rechargeable batteries exactly like the Ryobi 18v I use for my electric drill.
I have had one of these Spinfire’s since 2019. It’s the best tennis opponent out there. Leon over at Spinfire is awesome, attentive to his customers, and truly excited about the product. Couldn’t ask for a better machine or service.

Has drill like spinshot plus 2? For example,can you custom some balls like approach and volley shots? Thanks
Kevin thanks for the video. I am in the market for a ball machine. I was looking at the Slinger bag and i will say it still makes more sense for me in terms of cost. The Spinfire Pro 2 looks great but it's a bit too much out of my reach. I would not like to pay $2K+ for the unit. The slinger seems more portable as well. Everything fits nicely inside the unit. With the Spinfire, you have to put the balls into another bag to carry around.

@@TotalTennisDomination I bought the Slinger Bag but i sold it... it has way too much top spin. There is no option for slice or neutral balls. I also want to use the machine for padel practice and the slinger bag is absolutely useless for that. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Don’t have a Slingerbag but have heard complaints that it only hits topspin balls. Just sayin.
My Dad is thinking of getting this. This was an absolute quality review. Excellent work 👏🏻💪🏻👍🏻
I've got a ball machine (Lobster elite 3) and absolutely LOVE IT!....(The price on this is WAAAY to steep though)

What annoys me about Lobster is how they nickel and dime on you everything. Legitimately annoying and I don't especially feel like supporting that kind of business model.

My daughter's school has 2 broken down lobsters in storage. I was so excited to use the machine with the girls and both were broken. I was told they had the machines less than 2 years. I just purchased this one. Excited about getting it soon!! 😊
Buy a playmate kevin. Those are the best machines
Please compare the spinfire with the silent partner. Thanks
I love your videos Kevin. I have the Spinfire Pro. Bought it about 4 years ago. I should use it more but it’s difficult for one person with all the balls, battery, machine and tennis bag. I found out when I used it I tended to hit way too many balls and couldn’t even move my arm the next day lol. I do need to buy a new remote because mine stopped working and they are quite pricey they are over $100. I do say their customer service is great though. I think it’s worth the money imo.

Dude this is awesome!!! I just bought a slinger though.
Do you recommend the pressureless balls that Spinfire sells or just buy regular pressurized tennis balls? I'm worried that pressureless balls won't have the same feel as a pressurized ball. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Had anyone reviewed the new app yet
Definitely sounds worth the extra money, even more so to be using it for coaching others
Almost 3 times the cost of the Slinger...still worth it?
the spinshot is so much better

Which model you have of spinshot? With high spin version up to 80 mph? Are you satisfied ?
Hate to be Debbie Downer but I bought the Spinfire Pro 1, so I speak from experience when I say I have never had more problems with a ball machine. Nothing worked correctly. It couldn't fire 3-4 balls in a row without jamming. Even worse, it didn't work with regulation tennis balls. You heard me. To make it work properly you had to buy Spinfire's proprietary non-regulation tennis balls, which is nuts. Why would anyone want to practice with non-regulation balls? (Hint: you wouldn't.) Hopefully Spinfire has fixed these design flaws with the Pro 2, but the Pro 1 was a total disaster. I returned it and ponied up $200 extra for the Playmate Volley. So glad I did. Since day one the Volley has been amazing. It's lightweight aluminum but built like a tank. Nine years later, it still looks new thanks to some sort of industrial-strength, baked-on green enamel wrinkle-coat paint that doesn't rust or fade and resists scratches. We're a tennis family and will only buy Playmates now because of our experience with the Volley. It's had weekly use for almost a decade (purchased June 23, 2013, Amazon price $1979) and never needed a single repair. Incredibly, it's still going strong on the original battery and remote. And it's made in the USA! Woohooo!

I wish I read this review before getting my spinfire. Hopefully it will work well for me. I didn't want the lobster because I saw 2 broken down machines at my daughter's school. reviews for other machines were just horrible. So it's good to know there are other decent ball machines out there.

I wish I could buy a ball machine for less than $1000 but $2000 is just too much of an investment as a casual player 😃

I got the Slinger with the oscillator and ball pick up tube for $600 as a Black Friday deal... This ball machine looks a little better but at 3x the price to me there's no comparison in terms of value. The other plus the a Slinger has over this one is that is actually really good just as a bag even if you're not using the ball machine so you get the ball machine + ball hopper (for practicing serves or whatever) + racquet storage + numerous gear compartments all in one.
@TotalTennisDomination

I totally agree with the storage that the slinger has is better than the spinfire pro 2. The remote on the spinfire pro 2 is the real value add because the convenience of not ever having to go to the other side to switch the drill. I have a slinger and love it but the time saving of the spinfire pro is worth it...but I agree that it's at a premium. Thanks
The “Silent Partner “ ball machine looks similar to this. You can get one with all the bells and whistles for around a $1000.
Hey Kevin! Curious about whether you have ever used the Spinshot Player or Spinshot Plus 2? Wondering whether the internal oscillation and better battery life of the Spinfire Pro 2 is the way to go, or the phone app functionality with programmable drills that I get with the Spinshot machines is gonna be more useful - the obvious downside being that the battery life is much worse and the external oscillation indicates where the ball will go in a random oscillation drill. Have a great day!
@g10s
Жыл бұрын
I have the SpinShot Player machine. Oscillation is the biggest drawback that I've found with it. Two reasons are: at the baseline it takes too long to sweep sideline to sideline and shoot. Also, alternating volleys is too slow. It you have th machine shooting straight it will fire at a much faster pace.

@g10s

@@ketokonazol I had the standard model but the sweep speed(side to side) has nothing to do with the standard or high speed model. The high speed model increases the RPM and MPH. I definitely like the SpinShot machines. Being able to preset drills was a huge plus. The negatives for me are it takes more time to adjust on the fly and requires a phone and the sweep speed was too slow for advanced players. Also, it was too easy to read ball direction in random mode due to the entire unit sweeps. As a coach i find the spinfire meets my needs better.
@ketokonazol

@@g10s thanks for responding! What does means with sweep speed? Itds mph speed relate to sweep speed or not? Why is slow sweep speed if mph is 80? Generally speaking,i am between two machines,on the one hand i suppose that i will like the drills of spinshot, on the other hand also i like spinfire . Foe example,can I excerise approach shot amd volley with spinfire ? With spinfire i do . As far as internal movement concerns, or as you said random ball unit sweep for spinshot do you think that is too bad ?
It's a nice machine, but basically, you pay $1700 more for the advanced remote controller...I'll pass.
Hm, at £2000 it's simply out of the question
$2400?! 😳💰🤑
Don’t buy it - once it breaks (like the on/off switch), there’s nobody to fix it.
