I couldn’t agree more. Trying to run everything through a mental translator, making sure you have the vocabulary and the grammar to say what you want to say, all before opening your mouth, especially in the middle of a conversation when you have milliseconds to do all of that is no easy feat. I speak English as my primary language, and I very poorly speak Dutch. I know this struggle first hand. Anybody who teases or makes fun of someone for trying to speak another language, no matter how well or poorly should check their attitude by comparing their ability to speak the other person’s language. If they can’t do it flawlessly without errors or accent, then they need to shut their pie hole and recognize the effort of the other person for even attempting to speak another language.

Please Thomas - don't let losers affect you. You are kind, generous and your communications are informative and constructive. When I grow up, I want to be like you!

Being in the airline industry for 26 years working with 140+ nationalities (including 6 years with Norwegian Airlines 😉) i know that we all have an "accent" in another language, but never was that ever a problem with intelligent people. People don't understand what language is. Sure, there is syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics. But, language is about communication, and includes body language, tone of voice, and yes, even clothing! My point is, a KZread channel is about communication, and it's something you do exceptionally well, Thomas! We, your friends, have respect for you, and if you choose some lucky person as a friend, then that person is covered by our respect for you. I believe that if you can't add something positive to the conversation, or if you can't criticise politely, then it is best to keep silent. That's all.

Just remember that there are lots of viewers who love your videos but don't always say thanks often enough ( but frequently give a thumbs up).

Double thumbs up Thomas. I didnt see the comments, but I can imagine. Just a boring fact of life that a lot of people enjoy spreading their own misery onto others. A bit like cities who's occupants dont care about leaving dogs mess in the street (yes you Paris & Milan!). best place for that is rear view mirror. Keep up the great positive content. Cheers
