Never have I ever seen an omelette made this way. Now I know why I gave up trying to make it!!! I was taught wrong! This looks easier than what I was shown! Didn't know about butter and bubbly water in the omelette either!!! Thank you again Chef, this time for clearing the muddy waters of all I was taught! I truly appreciate you and your skills as a teacher! 🤗
When he says "friends" I genuinely feel I have a friend who has my back in the kitchen no matter what! The sheer amount of love from this channel is mind-boggling.

I like to fancy myself as a solid cook who is capable of making almost anything. However, my inability to make the dreaded omelette has haunted me since my 20s. I've tried so many techniques over the years; all with varying degrees of failure. I'd get versions that were "close", but never anything worth mentioning or sharing with others. I made this version Sunday, and it came out perfect! It was fluffy, creamy, and looked awesome! Everyone LOVED it. I did a light saute on my onion, then added the green peppers, then warmed the ham before adding to the omelette. I also had the cheese at room temperature to help it melt faster without overcooking the egg. I feel I have finally defeated my old kitchen nemesis! Thank you for sharing this recipe Chef!

Agree with Michael! But, c'mon, the chef does not mention the need for garlic in this recipe! IMO, eggs, plus salt, plus butter, plus garlic makes for the yummy experience, no matter whether the recipe be for an omelette, or a simple scramble. I also like to add a pinch of red pepper flakes and several tablespoonfuls of fresh chopped green onions (the white parts, saving the green parts for garnish). This recipe is not nearly as good as it could be, Chef!

This is called french omelette it is so hard to do but after a few tries I think I got it. Rule number 1 it can’t be brown it has to remain pale. Rule 2 it has a different texture inside and the rolling is the hardest. This is one of the culinary test u do. 😊
You’re a culinary genius! I know omelets are simple and I’ve made them for many years, but you can always learn something new and I’m never disappointed with your recipes.
Your enthusiasm made me jump up and try this myself. Wish I could post the picture of my result..it came out perfectly and the technique for rolling-out the omelet was key to perfect plating. I skipped breakfast and lunch..so I wish I could say this was for 2-3 people...but alas it was only for me. Gone in a gobble. Loved it.
much love Chef Jean-Pierre and to everyone here!
When I was breakfast cook at a restaurant 100 years ago I always put a bit of the omelet filling on top to help the waitress identify the filling. 3-4 omelets going to the same table and they all looked alike could cause an easy mix-up. With a little parsley also on top they looked "pretty.'

I love to see all the different ways that people do eggs. When I was learning to cook, this was the first thing I was taught to make. I learned how to "French" eggs to make so many different things. May I make a suggestion for the channel. Maybe teach a cooking term in the video, you told us about the term for prepping to cook. Are there other terms that we could learn to make us feel more like a Chef?
THANK YOU. I’ve always disliked “omelette’s even though I love eggs and the ingredients that go in most omelettes. But what I hated was the runny egg inside that was never cooked. This method takes care of that problem. I love it and I love you Chef Jean Pierre ❤️. Can’t wait to try this. 👍
If at first you don't succeed, order in! Actually, the more you practice , the closer you get to the perfection that Chef demonstrates. Buen Provecho
I found this channel last November and I am so glad I did! I did the upgraded chicken and beef broths and used it for my gravy, using JP'S recipe. My family loved it. I have made quite a few recipes and they turn out delicious every time. If I forget something I don't stress out just add it when I can. Thank you JP for being imperfect and just going with the flow.
Tried your recipe this morning. Came out excellent tasting; however, mine didn't look anywhere as good as yours. A little more challenging than I initially thought it would be but was fun trying. Thanks again. I'm always motivated to learn from you. A warm French croissant went very well with this dish.

Very Nice Chef JP !! Love Ya Chef !!
I have to hand it to the Chef. A month ago, I had no clue what Tarragon was, let alone how to cook, outside of the unbelievable grilled cheese sandwich I made. So far within a month, I have made... Clarified butter. Beef stock, chicken stock, and roasted chicken stock. Beef stew. Beef stroganoff. The french toast. Loaded Lasagna. Mac and cheese. (made at the same time as the lasagna because I made extra mornay sauce.) Ragu sauce with hamburger. Sausage is next. Marinara sauce. The perfect filet mignon recipe with the fig sauce and the potato fondant and asparagus using tomahawk bone in rib eye's that I had instead of the filet mignon. I reverse seared the steak and basted it in the thyme, butter and garlic from the "how to cook the perfect steak" video, combining the two recipes together. Last night I made the Chicken Parmesan with egg noodles. I have eaten at restaurants like Ruth's Chris, and high end Italian restaurants etc, and I must say I have never in my life tasted anything so good. Every recipe I have made was above and beyond what I could imagine food tasting like. I feel like a dog in heat because now, all of a sudden I have people hanging around my house at all hours of the day and night. This man has me hooked on a new hobby now, and I appreciate every video he puts out. I look forward to his next notification. The way he explains why something is/isn't done makes me better understand the science behind cooking. I could go on and on, but I better stop before the KZread police tell me to. Thank you again, Chef.
So simple ,but so delicious!! I didn't know the secret with the bubble water, or soda though!! Thank you, chef!!
