I seem to do pretty well with just plain old skrettings pellets. But I’m no world champion. I will try some branded micros soon and compare. I suspect the results of marginal, which matters of course to a match angler but not so much to the pleasure angler.

Little late to the party. I'm Dutch and with no to very very little commercial fisheries i predominantly use the hybrid in the spring and autumn for tench and 6 to 10lb carp on natural waters. Works pretty wel. I can let them in for a longer time and that is in my opinion a game changer. With the method i would need to up the tempo a bit and more casting means more splashing and leaving more food spread out. this translates to suspicious, anxious and full fish. I find that specially tench have a desire for calmness on the spot, and the hybrid caters to that. Another thing is the possibility to use and switch to ground bait on the hybrid, which is not (well unlikely) possible on the pellet feeder. In the warmer months on the other hand, nothing beats the method. Maybe this translates poorly to the UK fisheries, over here it works like a charm. Tight lines.

Yes, I do, you can buy them separately, made of rubber, and orange in colour. Brilliant fool proof mould, perfect shape and weight every time.
