As a Black girl with a huge afro my advice for all afro-havers is to use natural products aka actual plants. Making hair masks with a variety of different oils (unfiltered) and herbs helps our hair grow quicker than most products and using fruits and veggies like Mango, avocado, Aloe vera and Moringa, helps define the curls way longer than any type of gel

Tips for dread heads keep it simple wash your hair consistently, keep it hydrated and sleep with protection on it like a Durga you will cause more harm then good with to many products it will cause build up and make your dreads look dusty. Do a detox every 3 months with apple cider vinegar and baking powder and wash it good (if need earlier) . Also DONT use a blow dryer and let your dreads air dry otherwise y’all will damage your hair. Hope this helps

W video. As a fellow black content creator, I focus on hair loss (AGA/male pattern baldness) as I've been battling mine with medication and research. It works! Finasteride/dutasteride, Minoxidil Tretinoin... But when it comes to hair care, this video is a W. I'm certainly looking to learn more about reducing breakage. You should talk about hair loss treatments and procedures like hair transplants. Because of our curly hair, we often need less hair follicles transplanted to get a great result. Johnny Hiero is another black content creator who got a hair transplant ("Johnny Hiero hair transplant")

In my case (24 year old), i tried growing out my hair while maintaining a taper-fade. But i have some thinning spots on my corners so it dosen’t look good when i grow out ( it always looks like i’ve combed my hair backwards). My hairline is still there and it’s not too high but the thinning spots don’t grow like the rest of the hair on the scalp. So i went back to having a low fade with some 180 waves 😔. I really wanted to try something new but i thing i will try resolving that problem first. Actually i am using a 0.5 dermaroller and some rosemary oil. I don’t want to use some finasteride or minoxidil because of the sides effects. Any advices?

The scalp serum you actually apply every day, and that one’s just for your scalp. You then can apply a conditioner . Then use oil on your hair to seal in the moisture. So serum on your scalp, conditioner on your hair, then oil on your hair

Also be realistic with yourself, genetics plays the biggest part in all this, you can have the healthiest hair but it don’t mean it’s going to grow shoulder or back length. But if you want hair that length sometimes it be better to achieve it in locs then in afro form

Sounds like you have low porsosity hair. Warm the oil up 1st and massage into your scalp and rub the residue left down your strands to your ends. It best to do this at night then tie your hair up or sleep with a bonnet.

If it's just sitting on your hair scalp warming the oil 1st allows it to penetrate. Another quick option, after you wash your hair while in the shower apply the oil to your scalp, the warmth from the water will allow the oils to penetrate too.
