It’s not necessarily about CHANGING who you are as a person inside, it’s about being able to continue to be yourself and progress your life even if they aren’t there. You are untethered.

my ex broke up with me because she thought she liked someone else, shes an unbelievably intemite woman. her dad was abusive and her mom is a drug addict but out of all of this she is the most kind a generous person ive ever met. she says she liked someone else, but i believe it was because i was extremely emotional when my dad lost custody of me. i was insecure and was scared of other men in her life and when she was with friends. im ready to make a crazy change. weve known each other since we were in elementry. shes always been the one. i cant let my fuck ups stop what could be.

Thank you for this video. Very well taken points. Second marraige, now divorced after 20 years (First wife of 21 years died). My problem is that my ex is totally tethered to the past and terrified of the future. She tells me that she loves me but unless she can have a 100 percent guarantee that I will not repeat some past bad behavior that broke her trust in me, she cannot stand having to possibly go through the same thing again. I have done a great deal of work and have changed alot but it seems that she does not want to even look at my changes unless she feels that they are guaranteed to be permanent. SO my analogy is that I can bring her into my movie theater to see a movie of the new me, but she will not even look at the screen. That said, we do talk or text frequently on a friendly, not needy, basis, though most of it relates to the granchildren we have in common.

You guys are truly the best. I listen to you guys podcasts/episodes on youtube for keeping my faith in bringing this love back with me and my woman.

Happened the exact same to me however it was 6 month relationship , I discovered that she was on a rebound and was using me and wanted to be in love with me that worked for few months but then she felt out of love and moved on to find someone else to be "in love " with in my opinion also for distraction , so all this it is not about you

You give it time. But she can’t keep your children from you… just be a better version of yourself, and you never know, you might not want this anymore

2018 my and dad die

Guys and Ladies. My ex has a new partner and it's not going well. When the new partner moved in I didn't take it well and for the past month have done everything wrong. He was getting ready to block me. But three days ago I was watching this and no contact is not an option because of business and agreements we decided to have a morning video call (his new partner hovering) and then only necessary business contact. Of course I couldn't keep that together. After I watched this video I reassessed everything including my intentions. Modified my behavior to less than agreed ....Two days later he's calling ME and we actually talked for an hour like real friends we both laughed! We did some sharing. I promised to keep my distance and give him and them space just like I have the previous two days. I got the opportunity to explain what changed and it was my valuing myself and loving myself and telling him with 100% sincerity that I want him to be happy even if it's not with me.... And I meant it. He even commented that he could tell in a very short time I had turned back into myself... Which he likes, and he knew I was sincere. We stayed in the present and when it drifted into future or past mode I redirected to the now. Yes our circumstances are different but I've fully embraced being his friend, which we've been since we broke up 4 years ago and he admitted that I am his soul mate and he's miserable in his current relationship. Told be over the past weeks he's thought about how much he fights with the new guy but how harmonious we were. But he has also stubborn and will stay in this relationship until it completely implodes...I give it maybe 6 more months. But I'm willing to wait and stay socially active and working on myself. I'm more determined than ever to do what is necessary to keep his interest piqued. I already lost 54lbs but I did it for me and my health but he's really helped me by pushing me to take better care of myself. So I give him a pay on the back for that. It only took 2 days for him to start seeing a difference and made him start coming my way.... I will keep you updated Timo Casas
