And you being stood there in that field, brought it all back for me.....

Them Electric Pylons were a familiar site around that area years ago 70,s and 80,s,, L30...Thornton and Netherton, and there is still a few there now.

Some good people live in and around Litherland and Netherton, the Eden vale had a great football team, decent boxing club the sefton ABC, the majority of the neighborhood was a Bootle overspill.

Back in the 80's a few of my friends had 7 or 8 stretches off Judge John Rutter for a riot on the Penrhys estate in the Rhondda, they were 14 and 15 years of age. They were both Welsh amateur boxing champions, sleep well Skinto boy, never forgotten RVS

This is a lesson to work harder in life and get yourself out of poverty. Society is failing in a big way. Sad.

Sefton is a completely artificial and weird council area. It's areas of North Liverpool in the south of the borough combined with areas of Lancashire in the north. It doesn't work. The council is split between north and south. The Liverpool part of the council don't get on with the Lancashire part. It's mad that Sefton council still exists. It was one of those crazy experiments they did in the 1970's.

I once had a mad night in Liverpool ended back at a flat in Norris Green, Woke up Saturday everyone was sound as a pound, I went to the local shop Saturday Morning to get some bread n bacon and what not. Bootle has never been part of Liverpool. I recall Bootle 20, Lancs.

I think you’ve tried to make Pendle look like an urban ghetto and It’s not waste land mate - it’s Rimrose Valley Country Park. If you want to get a feel for the area - go for a walk on Rimrose, go down the canal and maybe have a pint in the cookies on the canal bank side. That’s what it’s all about.

Your getting about you lad. What are you doing on the Pendle la. I know it sounds mad but down the road Thornton was always madder than Pendle we used to have mad riots down the piggeries. I’m in Bootle now….puts Thornton, Pendle, ford lane, Sefton, netherton to shame when it comes to rough areas. Come have a look down King Ave, Marsh ave, Fernhill lad.

I was put there years ago on tag after early release from the big house. 21 bowland drive. It was fucking horrendous and I grew up on the ford in Birkenhead during the smack epidemic. That was over 20 years back. And it was bad. I see nothing has changed.

Me Nan lived on Bowland drive for decades. Its well quieter than it used to be now, don't get as many of the little rats hanging round the shops all night. Haven't personally had any trouble there for 10 years
