I was surprised Gil took the 1st penalty as he was still picking splinters out of his backside with the amount of bench time that he's experienced. Watching live certainly gives us fans a different perspective. Thought the boys all have their best, and in fairness to Gil, he really put in a shift when he came on. Scarlett was very impressive I thought. At least one player that was willing to shoot when there's half a chance!!

Bryan Gil always puts in a shift. That's all he knows! He won the Europa League with Sevilla!
Unfortunate to lose in the hometown of Ange!! Was fortunate enough to witness the boys play… Shame a lot of the Spurs crowd was corporate. Otherwise we would have had a rowdy stadium

Losing on penalties is hardly a loss, considering nobody was even told. It's called a 'friendly' for a reason. And Spurs were the dominant side throughout... so why complain? If not for Emerson Royal, we win that game. #COYS

@@lman22 If you watch the replay of the Newcastle goal...Emerson allowed his man too much time & space on the ball, such that it was child's play to deliver a cross into the box. We outplayed them for 90 minutes!

Its no problem - in ange we trust - its a 5 year mission into gerry francis and ardiles land. Ange couldnt win a tossed up coin bet knowing its heads both sides.
Emerson Royal was the one STANDOUT, in Melbourne... woeful on the ball, and pitiful off it. It was his man who sent in the cross for Newcastle's goal. How many times has Royal been caught ball-watching? How many times has he gone down, praying for the ref's whistle? He is the WORST SIGNING since I started supporting Spurs. Even Ndombele is better. #COYS
Unfortunately there was no jeopardy and we all sensed it at the ground.

Sums Sours up at this stage we cant even win a friendly ar the moment.I watched the game on holiday. We had the chances to win in normal time. Nice to see so mamy youngsters given the opportunity to play . Scarlett i thought did well .. if we sell Richy for 60 ,and Emerson and hojbjerg for 40 , I say buy back Kane

Good game but kinda pissed tbh. Showcased a good range of young upcoming players but also pointed out the ones that SHOULDN'T be on the pitch next season. Looking at you Gil...

How Gil keeps getting any game time is a mystery to me, he's awful. Who's the lad that took our 4th penalty?

Bryan Gil is most likely going back to Spain... where he recently won the Europa League, so relax! He will be fine in Spain or Italy.
