Countries abilities to produce stuff the "right way" is going to be determined by a combination of commitment to sustainability, adaptability, political will and availability of raw materials. Things get complicated where monopolies are at play. Note: China's control of lithium batteries, a critical component in electric vehicles. China's exponential gains on semiconductors.
