Don't make excuses. It creates the presumption of chance. Then she'll just attempt to make excuses for the age gap or be angry at her father for getting in the way. If this situation ever occurs it's best to just be completely honest and bite the bad-guy bullet. Malloy: "Topa I don't think of you in that way. I know that's not what you want to hear and it's going to hurt, but not everyone you have feelings for will feel the same. I've experienced the same pain you're going through now. I hope we can continue being friends, but you need to understand that we'll never be more than that." It'll hurt Topa's feelings but ultimately rip the band-aid off. Hormonal teens will be hormonal teens.

I absolutely appreciate the idea that he doesn’t make the connection at what the question is until “can we have dinner” When you’ve known someone’s since they were born you always think of them as a child and don’t connect them with being an adult until someone points it out. @@chasestanley2906 A film I admit to not having seen before, I’ve taken a few minutes to look over a synopsis online to get at least the most basic of ideas. The synopsis I read at least seemed to imply they were around the same age, I’ll take the time to watch the movie to get a clearer picture and edit afterwards. Edit: Oh wow…yeah just watched a couple clips and uh…wow.

This reminds me of when i came back from boot camp and my little sister's friend who was in 8th grade told my sister that she likes me lol! I thought it was adorable lol!

Im still confued as to how old Toppa is. We saw her born in season 1, yet in season 3 she seems like middleschool aged, yet everyone else on the crew only seems to have aged a few years, especially Dr. Finn's kids. Do Moclans age faster that humans? I feel like a species as resilient and strong as the Moclans would actually age slower.
