Day of Dragons has been in your hands with it's 1.0 release for some time. I'm seeing overwhelming positivity and also overwhelming negativity, Clearly the people that LOVE the game are vocal, Just as much as people who dislike it's current state. Just remember it has a long way to go and we're finally at a point where we can enjoy new content with updates and no longer just teasers. I'm excited to see where things go and i'm sure the current issues will be fixed, I didn't run into many while playing for 9 hours :)

That’s what I thought and the brood mother or whatever they call the other one is very red/green death (the queen dragon from first movie) I get it’s difficult to design new creatures but having essentially 4 dragons that look and function similarly to a very popular movie franchise isn’t a great look.

@@maxximus6418 The Dragon Anthomnia was play was a spinoff of the Monstrous Nightmare. The Shadow Scale is a spinoff of the Night Fury and the Blitz Striker is a spinoff of the Skrill. No way they aren’t accidentally making these dragons that coincidentally look like them and have the same abilities to the HTTYD dragons. The Broodwatcher has similarities to several dragons in HTTYD including the Green Death, however I would say it more like a Snagglefang in build and looks.

Bad parrot was the first ever person to pick me up when i spawned. It was my first time playing i announced it in chat and they asked if they would like to pick me up and bring me to BR when i saw the yellow name i new it was an admin and now they are a def. Congrats!

20:50 This is exactly why I'm so glad that there are now servers with no clans. Clans can churn out extremely powerful dragons by the dozen and can communicate without anyone else knowing, it made playing solo absolutely hell. I played almost exclusively solo on a clan-ruled server for a solid year, and let me tell you that I've never hated the words "You were in our territory" more. Some large clans frequently went on hatchie killing quests, where they'd go to all the hatchie spawns and kill anything not in their clan. The worst part for me was that PvE servers didn't have the same level of fun/risk PvP did, but every PvP server was full of clans. I legit had to learn _dragon politics_ in order to survive! I feel as though that for now if the devs want to do more stuff like this they should really stick to PvE servers, that or servers without clans.

My sense of vanity is simply too strong and too picky to deal with the game's current skin mechanics. High hopes for Draconia in that regard since it's already going exactly that direction. c:

4 years later this game still seems as empty as ever which is a shame. Hope this is a step in the right direction but def not enough to buy it still.

Ok so i backed the kickstarter for the bio dragon specifically but didnt have a pc yet. And when i was finally able to get one and checked my steam for the code i never saw it. I was so sad...

Codes aren't visible on steam until you add the key on steam. You would have received your kickstarter codes back in 2019 (probably email) and need to redeem them on steam

Never regretted a game more, spent 20 bucks on it just for the game to rollback into early access and had stuff removed, and then the new stuff is hidden behind a paywall and nothing they promised would be released when buying the game was released, so its a waste of money and hard to find even PVE no clan servers that don't randomly kill eggs/juvineniles. Theres always that one player who sees you just spawned in and either smashes your egg or waits till you hatch then kills you.

Without wanting to offend fans, and as someone who loves dragons like everybody else: what's fun about this, especially on a pvp server? Like, in a pvp setting, it just seems increadibly annoying. And for pve players i dont get the appeal of progression or whatnot. And then all cool skills (right now) are basically creator-only, or go for 1k bucks. I didnt ever hear from this game before, and i already dislike the direction it's going lol. If some of the appeal is explained later in the video im sorry, i didnt make it through more than half.

it's the biggest issue with pve_pvp style games, however as someone who has played this style of game for years, mainly The Isle, who is also not a fan of PVP if I can help it, you're best bet is gonna be finding semi-realism servers. servers focused on acting as your species of dragon, and living a normal life with strict rules and guidelines to prevent and punish assholery and keep things relatively fair for everyone, where the only PVP is going to be defending yourself when being hunted, or being the hunter as needed. It makes things a lot more chill, and typically gives you a reporting system to be able to get rule breakers punished. It's not perfect, but I highly recommend you give that sort of thing a try. It might be tedious at first to learn the rules and such, but once you got em you're probably gonna have a blast.

@arlo1405 Some version of this was more of less the impression i had, but i did not want to sound rude towards the fans. I was just curious if there actually was anything to do in this game. Reminded me of some nostalgia i had towards a very old dragon game where you would play as some elemental dragon (fire, ice, shadow, .. more i think) and would attack enemy camps and level up and gain new skills and whatnot. Cant even tell what it was called anymore, but it was amazing. Really loved it back in the days. Totally different game design concept tho.

The end of the video shows exactly why the pvp isn't even going to be fun! And then he called them assholes for doing something they had the rights to do? If you don't want to get ganked or griffed then don't be on pvp and if the DEV don't want to focus on pve then tough titties to anyone who wanted a fun dragon game but not get harassed by other players.

Almost 3 months later blitz striker still isn’t out.

it feels like there is still almost nothing out for the 1.0 release that was promised and even Blitz is over a month late, maybe 2??? Game performance tanked and map wasn't even finished either and it honestly feels like there is less to do in 1.0 than there was in legacy. I want to be hopeful but it feels so hard and its frustrating, especially when half the playable roster is locked behind dlc/patreon even though it isn't a ftp game, not even a cheap game at that.

sounds like maybe you need to up the brightness on your monitor, there are a lot of websites online that can help you adjust your brightness to a standard that is good for your monitor and help with making your viewing less dim, if you have low brightness on your monitor because you maybe are using the light mode for browsing , might I suggest enabling dark mode and then tuning the brightness, it will probably benefit you, that way you can see things more pleasantly and not say everything is so dark that you can only see it when it is 100% bright.

sounds like a monitor brightness or contrast issue, its also possible that you watched the video in a room with a lot of natural lighting, which can make it quite hard to see you screen without increasing its brightness to max.

Im on my phone and had to up the brightness of my screen to the max to see anything. I feel you here.

A napalm dragon would be cool, the fire lingers and can be used to stop a hostile from approaching you (You shoot the napalm and make like a fire wall) also if you hit someone with it, it sticks to them and does burning damage for a certain amount of time, but dragons with thicker armor arnt affected.

Sry, I still think this game is the biggest let down. Years later, we get 1 new dragon.. 1 kickstarter only from 2019. and a DLC dragon that will be released soon.. The map does look more polished. Its a game I wish I could get my money back from. I will add some praise. The flying is still unmatched and very smooth which makes it very ejoyable to log in just to fly around.

yeah I mean they have 3 DLC Dragons every new "emote" for Dragons is a DLC one you can't even get anymore and so on... also it feels empty and just as bad after "Realese" than it felt before... not to speak of the so "Awsome and expensive" Models they have, were the Animations deform the model unnaturally (like the Broken Tails of Acid and Shadowscale when They drink. You can Litterally see the rig bone where the tale is angled at). Like others said the plain rippe they made from httyd or Avatar with the Healer Dragon. The Shadow Scale had such unique looking desings with a swallow Tail or a more alien looking morph but nooo Toothless we go. The only bit more unique dragons we have right now are the Flame Dragon and the Drake (one of them a DLC you can buy for about 8 Euros)

We aren't congratulating them. We're celebrating the fact that they kept their promises. We're happy that our money wasn't stolen. That it was used the way they promised us years ago. The devs were given the chance to fix their mistakes and they did just that. If you don't think redemption is a good thing, you have plenty of other games to squeal at.

I think it's more the fact that the developer was indeed being genuine in the development of his game but there initially was a misguided attempt at cancelling the guy, and frenzying up the community saying they were getting scammed when they weren't. It was just a developer trying to start up his own IP and the fickle community and vultures tried to ruin this venture because it wasn't developing as fast as they liked which is crazy when you look at the isle whom folks are content with their extremely slow development. 4 years of development vs how long has the isle been in development? this game has come along faster than the isle even has.

I just discovered this game and your KZread channel :) I wonder if you can do a beginner survival guide on pvp because I know the learning curve is brutal and I know in the clans were notorious for not being too friendly to solo players And new players Not to mention about all of the crazy crap that happened years ago (again I’m new I want to believe that things have completely changed since then, but I don’t want to be entering in a game where I’m going to get harassed from the get-go) too anyone who is reading this and is experienced with this game. Very well. I like the P.V.E. servers, relatively chill and relaxed, at least the ones I have been in. I wish the developers had released more of what they said they planned to for these recent updates, but I am not too upset about it at current. There is really only one tip that matters and it is the following; stay in the P.V.E. servers, DO NOT go into P.V.P. servers unless you have a bunch of friends on STEAM that play and are in a clan together. Without a clan, P.V.P. is basically a free for all, which is why 90% of people in P.V.P. servers are so toxic, rude, and disrespectful. If you NEED P.V.P. I suggest you stick with the "Controlled Chaos" server/servers since the Developers and Admins there have implemented rules, including not attacking baby and juvenile players. If people break one of the rules in the Controlled Chaos server, that person, as far as I know, is banned and unable to get back into the server.

Last I heard from one of the developers herself, they do intend to make it available for console, but that is quite a long ways down the line considering there is still a lot of work to do with/for what they have currently. I would say they will not have a console version for at least another four years (maybe sooner, maybe later) unfortunately.

There's still nothing added as of 7/9/24, how can you support this game?

A definite improvement especially with things to come, but would like hatchlings to be able to cover ground faster and grow faster into the juvi stage so theyre not just sitting around defensless and can explore and survive and for larger dragons like the fs and ir to have a better turning radius in flight since they are moving slower while smaller faster dragons remain speedy but have less manuverability so they cant dominate battles against their supposed apex or counter by tail riding and have to rely more on group co operation and fly byes but even then theres just not alot either the ir or fs can do when facing an ss, long range bile attack combined with fast speed whether they can turn on a dime or not makes for an extreemely uphill battle

I played this when it first came out and stopped but I’d like to try again. I don’t know anything about the game other than there’s dragons. 🤷‍♀️

Day of dragons is the most coolest game ever because we can be any dragon could be love to be right now because I wish I had PS4 to play the ultra dragons😂😢😊

There was crazy controversy and back in the day the fans of this game were heinous and disgusting. I really hope things have gotten better
