The dragon with the jellyfish floaties over the head was i. It is currently a patreon life time reward cosmetics, as it is being tested for now. Eventually different cosmetics such as the jellyfish will be unlockable by players via dragon pearls they can collect. Not much else is currently known on the system though.

@@Lusewing I always knew dragons were molluscs! That's a pretty cool idea actually. A mobile game I play has Pearls as currency, but this is derived from Asian dragon myths (and the cosmic pearl/spherical egg they are often depicted with) as it's a game about koi carp becoming asian long dragons.

If they add a weather cycle, it's going to be awesome flying through storms, then flying above the storm to see a clear sky.

they are planning on doing that as soon as they switch to unreal engine 5. You can see it at the very end of the memorial day stream on the beawsome youtube channel. Theres gonna be rain, snow and sandstorms.

I think they're still scamming you by making you a few new dragons. A year has passed and there is still no proper game. You play the game on a pre-made map and dragons. At least they bring you something to indicate that it is not a scam but it is. Btw, I'm saying this as someone who has made a big money support at the time.

@@crocopan1079 everything takes some time, the devs team isn't as big even though they've made a pretty good budget out of the game to continue doing the work. i think they'll learn a lot of experience though, i bet the game in the future will be sick asf.

It is very real and moving forward. If you believe it is a scam...walk away. If you are willing to give it a chance first, then decide...come on in and take a look for yourself. ;)

Anthomnia do you think they should add playable hydras? It could be flightless and aquatic with poison breath and the regrowing head thing until the head stump is burnt then you have a permanent disability

i hope ancient will never be obtainable since big clans already claim the mushrooms for themselves making it impossible for regular players to become elder, it would be bad if the major clans start farming for ancient dragons

If ancients do become available to the public I hope server owners will be able to lock them server side for either admins only or outright for those who want to do that kind of thing (and can do so without the need of coding it). Personally I'd rule it that ancients can either only be solo or pack with one same species adult max due to how op they rightfully are.

Highly unlikely altho the devs are teasing about single player having sandbox and going crazy there with all kinds of things you normally don't have access to in multiplayer servers. we'll just have to keep an eye on the details

This... is amazing. I was so let down and honestly heartbroken when this game was named a scam, but now with all this work put into it and how far it's come, it has my full support and I can't wait to play.

So while watching these air fights it made me think... what if they added something in where you could grab onto each other during a fight (like raptors grabbing things in the isle) but if you both hit the ground it can kill you or do a lot of damage so you have to split.

Everything looks great. For me I hope they add more to do in the game. I get “the isle” sort of game play, but for me I’m not a big fan. I think the game needs AI creatures, dragons, enemies etc. making it more of a survival game would bring in a lot more players and add replay ability. I hope they keep working on this game because it has been a huge turnaround which is great to see

They are planning on doing that. This game is supposed to be a survival rpg so there supossed to be quests and there's gonna be items like pearls that can give you different effects. Also they are already planning on adding other and bigger ai like the swamp snapper. A lot of stuff will be added in the update where they switch to UE5

You know what this game reminds me of? A novel series called Wings of Fire. Anyone else remember this?

Just seeing how well theye made the movements and reactions makes me so happy. Seeing the body parts move even just a little during the flight like the tail adds so much to the quality 👌

Yeah the wing slightly vibrating due to wind resistance during gliding gives a lot of immersiveness. Also the sounds of flight seems amazing. Thats what I would imagine a huge beast flapping its gigantic wings will sound like

I remember hearing about the scam ages ago and following it for a while because I was so hopeful for a good dragon game. Glad to see it's doing better now! I prolly won't play it still due to the reputation until I know for sure or get bored one day, but at least some people seem to be turning the game into good!

For the acid spitters, you have to crouch first then shift/sprint to do a faster run :p you cant just hold shift to sprint or you will end up trotting instead sprinting. Thats why the smaller ones seemed faster :)

Part of the appeal, at least for PvE servers is being adopted and taught by other players. The game itself isn't that hard and fairly self explanatory. Eat and drink until you grow, that's pretty much it. PvP on the other hand...

Last I heard they plan to make a separate game for singleplayer people to enjoy. Problem is the game was advertised in KS with singleplayer and the people who backed the game thinking it would have that feature were later disappointed. Turns out it was scraped and now it looks like people will have to fork out more cash. The feature was even listed on the Steam's page.

An ever bigger dragon? Yay!

On an official server I’ve actually met I believe the head dev! I forgot what their user was but people were badgering them on how the games still a scam, this was still when flame stalker was in early dev. But they were sincere and polite saying they take pride in this new realization of the game where they will make the game as intended on the kickstarter

These dragons look astoundinly beautiful and feel so real due to the way they move. Keep this up and this could change the game play and animation of creature and monsters everywhere!

Thank you for posting another video Anth. I played the Isle recently and somehow made a dinosaur launcher. Yeah, sent some of my friends to space.

I'm glad to hear that things with DoD are starting to take a much better turn and while I still don't think I have it in me yet to try buying and supporting this game, I'm absolutely becoming more and more impressed with their progress and change with each new video. I still have my fingers crossed for a good future for this game. A positive one that can not only leave behind the rocky past it had, but entirely make up for it and then some.

I plan on getting the game soon. You showing the work from Maya and Unreal Engine is really cool because I can relate to it. I'm in school for Game Art and I have to use both of those. I wanna see what would happen if players could eventually unlock Ancient dragons. I feel like they would have to make a stronger boss to be able to keep up with that. It'd be cool to unlocj ancient but honestly super over powered

If you join my server, it's a possibility. Look up "Dragoncraft" and you can become an Ancient dragon. There are two already.

Hey! I always love seeing your videos on Day Of Dragons. By the way, to sprint with the Acid Spitter Drake you need to crouch first and then start running.

I would LOVE for the ancient dragon to be this huge boss dragon that would chase you if you're spotted.

you can sprint as an acid spitter if you press C and sneak and then go into running from the sneaking position

How far the games come, wow! I'm so proud of the developers for actually taking a step to fixing their game up, I just hope they've learned their lesson from there little scandals they had going in the beginning.

For the first one the surrender sounds great but the threat sounds like and angry/upset wolf.

I really loved it, but i was expecting a bit more from the Ancient; a new model or a much bigger size. However i would be fine with the size of the Ancient, if there was something bigger in play, like a Dragon God species. Tho i think these would have to at least be, at head height, as big as the top of a mountain (this would have to be AI).

Haven't been around in a bit and I never thought I would hear day of dragons getting praise.

I like the wyvern precisely because it sounds just a liiiittle bit stereotypical. There are a LOT of dragons planned for this game - I need at least one of them to sound relatively 'normal', if only so I have something to compare the more exotic sounds to.

Just a little info for the asd the small one don’t out run you it’s just that you where not sprinting press crouch and after try to sprint and you will go super fast

The bio dragon reminds me of rainwings from the Wings Of Fire book series

The ancient dragons should be world bosses because if the scale of power for the dragon says it could take down 10 adult dragons then it would be a world boss maybe for different high tier loot zones that would be a good shout

After 2 years, man i never thought it would evolve like that,devs did a really good job moving to UE5 i like it and i can honestly say it was worth the money and the wait.

ello Anthomnia, I was "DontPatz" giving orders to everyone in our battle, was very fun and I wouldnt mind hunting you once again if you dare c: I will murder the gods once again, and become the strongest of them all GG's btw c: i was the leuci (White) SS (Shadow Scale) barking orders and making sure everyone was attacking corresponding dragons and the Overo (Black & White) FS (Flame Stalker) that was breathing fire straight up xD

the new MASSIVE map is gonna be awesome! the canyon will be good for flight practice, like getting more control over the speed and flight of the dragon, depends on the dragon. once the new map is here i am going to grab my shadowscale and explore, flying through the canyons and beauty

I hope they give this game a better fight system specifically melee fighting (maybe aerial too? Being able to barrel roll to dodge etc.)

The Wyvern Threat sounds WAY too much like a angry Tiger/Lion and imo kinda breaks the immersion I'd like to see that improved and/or changed to sound more like an actual dragon. The Threaten & Friendly I ADORE! Those are insanely well done! The Bio Juvi sounds are really cute, not too sure how I feel about the surrender though like I love the little "wimper" they were going for but at the same time it kinda sounds a little too close to an actual puppy wimper. So I'm not sure but over all excellent work so far And for the Elemental just 1million outta ten! I am IN LOVE with the taunt THAT'S EXACTLY how I hoped it would look and sound. plus the animations for each call are amamzing! Although I would like to maybe see the Elemental show more "fear" in its fear animation. Maybe have it cover it's face more like its cowering or something like that. but Still one of my faves out of all of the previews shown in the video!

I'm very happy to see this game getting support back from you, Anth. It's honestly going well, and I feel a bit bad for having one of the top tiers for the backers (original Black/White/Bio beta combo!) and I'm not playing it too much, I need to. Just need some solid people to play with! I got a Shadowscale to elder and I have to say, the flying in this game is one of the most immersive and honestly fun... once you get used to it! The flying is so different, yet you really feel like you're on the wings of a massive beast... and the fact that flying when you're a baby is hard, it gets easier as you grow makes it all the more realistic! (The amount of water crashes my little shadowscale endured as a baby...)

I really hope this game comes to consoles so more people can play

@@hikaru9624 the second you crouch it's ready. Taking a second to crouch and sprint vs just sprinting is significant. This ambush also lasts as long as you stamina

I wish they would make the ancient dragon available for some players that are really committed to the game, and adding a clan system will be great. Maybe they can add 4 structures on the map that can be used for clan battles. And the ancient dragon can be used as a tank/berserker and maybe another dragon can be a long range and then maybe a healer so ppl can make pvp more fun

There is a clan system with ranks and private clan chat. Coming will be clan caves that can be built, customized and add spawn points.

DoD is aiming *high!* And now that, from what I understand the devs are hard at work (and whoever was doing the scam is long gone, has reformed, *or* there was no scam at all! Only people with tall poppy syndrome, looking for views or trying to rip a good thing apart)! This game is something I’d really like to get. On another note, personally I think, that since there was a “scam” to do with this game (or jealous people trying to rip down a good thing), everyone in the gaming community is giving this game a bad rep, when has *proved* by games like No Man’s Sky, release matters little if the devs has passion, they truly care about the game and they persist with the game - through all the highs and the lows.

The thing is that there was no scam. The same people developing it before are the same people developing it now. Just some miss information getting spread around for views and some bad handling from people who were not trained to deal with PR

i hope when the game is fully made it is not stuck in being a steam exclusive, otherwise i will never get to play it. Also it is so cool! seeing the map built and the dragon meshes on the map...i am a beginner game maker just starting to learn how threw the game known as Crayta...i would love one day to work on an awesome amazing game like DoD!

Maybe make the dragons have more of a aligator hissing sound, dinosaurs most likely hissed in a way I think sounds like alligators so it would be like prehistoric times… 🐊

Survival I think is great for the full experience but there are some players who like just the sand box game mode or at least make to where we can choose in size.

The Ancient is not meant to be playable yet so it's not been designed further then just being a scaled up Elder. If it comes to the game to play I'm sure these issues will be worked on as well as stronger features such as horns and spines.
