In terms of Marine armor damage. In Helsreach they talk about how the Black Templar armor was more bare silver than black by the end of the battle.

@@Slenkamure The thing is , after the Devastation of Baal , Seth had little choice than come to terms with his new Primaris recruits . As much as he dislikes them , Gabriel Seth is trying hard to safeguard his Chapter , and they were in dire need of new Battle Brothers . Plus , the fact that they're not immune to the Black Rage as they were originally supposed to probably makes Seth more agreeable towards Primaris as they are not absent the Flaw , which defines the Sons of Sanguinius .

@@Tomcat_Coyote believe there was a short story from the primaris perspective of Seth how they called for support and he arrived by drop pod and they all butchered the enemy like true flesh tearers

These figures feel like they were made intentionally less detailed specifically so people can customize and paint them however they want. I mean hell, every figure has a grey Artist Proof variant for pretty much that exact reason. And lets not get into the many 3rd party options for helmets, weapons and such floating online. Now I just need to get off my ass and actually paint the Imperial Fist Killteam I've been procrastination on. And the Kharn I started as well.

@@demon1103 the unpainted artist proof variants don't have any of that, and if you're gonna customize the marine, changing out the Blood Angels Iconography wouldn't be difficult.

I have the artist proof for the space marine and can't wait to paint it up space wolves style! Also it's definitely worth noting you can get your hands on these for less than what you would pay for a single GW Primaris Captain, Lieutenant, or Chaplain.

its amazing how a little* TLC can turn the Mcfarlane toys into a great shelf piece, they even hold up to conversion pretty darn well too (Blinded By Daylight put up an awe inspiring Thousand Sons conversion). I'm personally thinking about picking up the Ymgarl Genestealer from the Mcfarlane line once I get more comfortable painting bc it looks so fun. Any thoughts on making a base for this poor Lamenter? Great vid jay :3

The mcfarlane figures are around 8 bucks now everywhere

I feel as if the Lamenters are my mood kindred, having recently having a seizure and dislocating BOTH shoulders, so you painting a giant Lamenter does my weary heart some good.

The McFarlane figures are awesome in my opinion. There's so much room to work with. You can make them look insanely cool with a few simple steps.

i absolutely hate the normal mcfarlane primaris space marines so i converted it into an "mcfarlane" emperors champion cant wait to actually paint it. also: if you're going to paint another one of these put the figure in hot water so its easier to seperate the body parts (not sure if you already did this though).

I had one of the artist proof intercessors and did him up in my custom chapter colours. I found him a joy to paint but that was mainly because I streamed the whole thing.

Love the chapter choice! While they get plenty of attention on the lore channels, I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually paint a lamenter before! I really like the more obscure chapters with interesting lore.

Tearing that box apart literally just broke my heart

Ironically, I had just opened my artist proof that I found the other day. I'm hoping to turn him into a Salamander as soon as I finish the last few marines for my army. I do collect action figures normally, so I can't wait to add him to my shelf.

The Joytoy space marines with the 2.0 body are actually pretty good and fun to paint up.

I loved the gets hot joke, my cat not so much as I tend to laugh with my whole body. I’ve got a couple of the different McFarlane Space Marines and want to paint them, but as you can tell by the massive zero models I’ve posted for EOBComplete I don’t get to paint much right now. That should change here shortly and then you’ll be like “This guy again?!” lol

Just got some of the Chibis for me and a few friends, would love to see how you touch them up!

That paint job is so freakin’ awesome… it would be nice to see the before/after side by side. And those chibis are dope. I have yet to paint my Grey Knight that I just primed all black - speaking of crappy paint jobs - the only one with a good job there is the sister of battle and that’s coz her face is printed on. It also seems impossible to strip these minis.

I have the Primaris Hellblaster, Flayed One, and Sister of Battle. I did the Marine in Iron Ravens, the Sister was Ebon Chalice, and the Flayed One was a Flayed One.

Just got the new-ish chaos marine. Paint apps are execrable but the poseability has improved, let us say it is 15% more poseable (better arm and leg movement, mostly, and slightly better torso/abs as well. Repainting that is going to be fun.

Great job bringing it up to the normal for McFarlane! Yeah I have a feeling GW was like here is the primaris intercessor T-pose model and oh keep it simple. Because normally Macfarlanes are cheaper, better detail, and are more grimmy atleast for Halo reach...

i have two model of the mcfarlanne but i only want to paint the chibi there are really cool.
