A SLA (resin) 3D printer would go far. Initial investment is high (~$400 USD for a small 6.23" printer + wash/cure station), but one bottle (1kg, $25) of resin got me proxies of 4 combat patrols, 2 additional kill teams, an ork battlewagon, and a few decent sized terrain pieces.

Some tips for Oyumaru. It works best when you let the silicone sit in properly boiling water for a time. It'll become extremely soft and you can cast really great detail with it. Second is using Miliput to capture the detail. It's softer, and has a much finer grit that Green stuff. Either way, The work you did looks awesome.

And at the last moment I realized that I don't have the right magnets for the arms so it took 2 more days to get and mount those. Right now it stands on my shelf ready for painting. As I don't use the airbrush I expect it to be a week long painting session.

Magnificent job Jay! Looks great (the purple is very nice). The idea with the magnets is a great way of swapping parts (I've seen Guy over at 'Midwinter Minis' using them in his Titan build). Lovely Stuff!!

This was awesome. Hopefully you paint more Knights in the future with experimental colour schemes. Keep up the good work.

Your work ethic and skill is really inspirational, whenever I'm feeling lazy I think W.W.J.D (what would Jay do), then I get off my ass and start getting stuff done. Awesome result and I love the colours, A* :)

From 4:33 to 4:43, it looks like a collection of the world’s worst homemade dental retainers 😆 As always though, great video Jay! Beautiful work too- thanks for the inspiration.

Nice, it’s just the details like the heraldry to go. With the two Questoris knights you’re only a single unit away from a fieldable army now. Just some armigers would get you there and they are still awesome fun to paint.
