Killjoy is one of the best agents you can use in solo queue as you can learn line ups with the nanoswarms or peak using your turrets and hold your flank with your alarmbot. It's basically compensation for your teammates in a ranked game.

Almost all cyphers seem to have half a brain cell

I often use my alarm bot to find where the enemy is - even placing it where they can see it works because if they destroy it, that tells me what I need to know. Same deal with the turrent. A good placement can do about 50 damage to a player or a group of players in a decent round, but it also alerts me to where they are. If there's others in the area, they'll wisely ignore the turrent and it may be 20% free damage.

Who else was confused when it showed the turrent instead of the alarmbot

Placing her ultimate then placing the spike next to it when the ult timer is 7 seconds is a yikess combo.

After watching I can say that I 100% needed another guide because this one was almost just a rundown of abilities

You can also use the turret to bait snipers on longer angles or checking corners without peeking because you can place the turret quite far in front of you.

QOTD: My favorite part is probably kill joy now I have a option other than cypher for lurking and watching flanks.

QOTD: i love the deathmatch mode because i don’t have killjoy yet and she always kills me

I find her really useful in solo's where u can't rely on your team and all your abilities help u a lot to solo defend a site or zone your enemies, but at the same time her abilities are not overwealming and "braindead" because if you use them badly they are basically useless. Riot was clever with this one

QOTD: i warm up with deathmatch bc abilities dont take warming up so i warm up my aim then hop into unranked or comp whatever i feel for the day.

On Attack I always use Killjoy's abilities to watch for flanks. She’s very good at this on Split.

QOTD: the endless 68/84 error codes. And the servers were down soon after the update. I love not playing the game.

When you first started talking alarm bot, you were deploying a turret lol

i just want the replay feature, today i ulted as cypher, and brim killed me. He was knifing my hat instead of defusing the spike, and I also did a ninja defuse with no kills and no abilities used

I really hope they add another controller as the next agent. But it's probably gonna be an Initiator as they have the least agent count.

In Haven, me and my friends found out that there are 2 small boxes in front of the 2 Boxes in A Site so you can hide nanos there and the enemy team won’t know

Killjoy is my favorite agent now! She is best solo queue carry agent in my opinion, you can easily hold a site on your own. On defense I place a swarm on default plant or near it and one where they rush in, a few times I hit about 3 or 4 people for almost 100 before I see anyone. Earlier I won a round on attack, it was 1v3 and spike was planted, I placed 2 swarms on it and ran as far as possible , then activated them 1 at a time so it lasts really long and they couldn't defuse u should try this :). Alarm bot with swarm is also very good because they will just die because of the double damage swarm.

In my team we have- Kill Joy, Viper(Me), Cypher, Sage and Raze We always alternate between cypher and kill joy on different sites and i would always go with kill joy and the rest would be together we won 5 matches straight with this hope this was helpful.

Cypher is irreplaceable tbh, no other agent has a camera and that in itself is one of the strongest abilites in the game. Killjoy will definitely complement Cypher really well, and even though her playstyle is similar to Cypher, she's actually a competitior to Sage.

Comp Idea: Cypher- info gathering, some smokes, and watching angles(cam) Killjoy-defending one site and watching angles(turret/alarmbot) and pushes Sage-stalling pushes Omen/Any other controller-for smokes Jett- useful for taking advantage of the OP meta & also has some smokes

I think viper is the best choice instead of omen because if you have 3 sentinels attacking is really hard but viper allows for easy executes where then killjoy basically wins the round cause of her post plant power.

Any way we can get a team comp video / why they're good or bad?

I like deathmatch to warm up better than the shooting range

My favorite part of update is 20 FPS on AMD RX 570 😑, and I’m not alone! Still didn’t fix

i think she will be great with cypher and won't be considered as a replacement. Hell just use cypher's trip/cage combo with her nanoswarm and that's a free kill where nobody had to be present. just requires both cypher and killjoy to look at their utility and press a button lol

QOTD: Definitely The Raze Nerfs. I am sick of being in a Highlight Real where I am dead. Hopefully that won't happen anymore Although I doubt it

Killjoy is nice on defense but I think her true power is post-plant on offense. haven't had so many wins with the bomb going off as I've had with Killjoy. If you are able to get the plant killjoy almost guarantees the round. I feel she is balanced though because she does nothing to help take the point.

they make the turret sound bad with the damage but when you use it while your holding a site new players go crazy over it they always try to get rid of the turret first and then try to kill you. ez kills. also you can get a free kill with the turret without doing anything
