The ONLY EVIL Avatar to Ever Live
Over the thousands of generations of Avatars that stood before Aang and Korra, each and every single one of them were cosmically bound to bring balance to the world. It was their primary duty from their first breath. This pattern was so strong and unbroken through the Avatar line that most scholars thought it an Avatar could never be evil or act against the interests of balance. That was until Avatar Yangchen encountered one Avatar in her past lives which had a horrid disdain for humanity and wanted civilization to end. An avatar that terrified Yangchen. So hit that subscribe button and lets get into it.
#avatarthelastairbender #thelegendofkorra #netflixavatar
So our story begins in the very early life of Avatar Yangchen. One night, in the cold dark, Yangchen was jolted up and possessed by her past life, a Water Avatar named Gun. Gun had a close friend called Mesose, who was a renowned poet and engineer. Mesose would often write poems and other stories which Avatar Gun heavily enjoyed reading, and building his worldly knowledge from.
Using this knowledge, plus his experiences in the real world, Avatar Gun began to notice a growing hatred of humanity in the back of his mind during his travels. This grew further and further as time went on, especially as more heartbreaking crises and natural disasters swept the world. Gun felt that people were always trying to demand more and more support, despite being horribly ungrateful for the help they’d already received. Making matters worse, he kept seeing towns and villages make the same mistakes over and over again, needing more and more support from the Avatar.
This swept the young avatar into a deep rage, and led him to want to wipe humanity from the map.
Still being posessed, Yangchen she is shown Avatar Gun and his close friend Mesose in the small harbor city of Ha’an, a bustling trade hub and fishing centre. There, a large tsunami engulfs the city and threatens to wipe out everyone who lived there. Avatar Gun tries his hardest to stop the terrifying wave from impacing, but he could only weaken its impact on the town. He could not stop the torrent. Tragically, his friend Mesose is killed by the waves, leading avatar Gun to disappear from the world for a long time. This is where Yangchen snaps out of the posession.
Years later however, Yangchen is possessed yet again by Gun while she was resting on a small island in the Northern Sea of the world. This time however, Gun’s disdain for humanity was truly put on display, as he took over Yangchen’s body and used it to ask Yangchen’s friend Tivik why he should care at all for humanity. Why should he care for the ungrateful and short-sighted humans when all they will do is continue to fight. Kavin attempts to calm Avatar Yangchen’s possessed self down, but Gun inside of her will not listen. He tells them that hope for a better humanity is the sole reason he should care. Gun however starts to maniacally laugh in Kavik’s face until Yangchen finally broke out of the posession and came back to reality.

Technically, if the avatar is meant to create balance, you could give birth to an evil avatar if world peace is somehow founded by the previous avatar and destruction is needed to bring good and evil back in balance.

Gun wasn't evil. An evil person wouldn't be trying to save a village from destruction. He was just tired of people's bullshit. Imagine reincarnating for thousands of years and people still give you shit for their mistakes. Even when you're helping them. Not to mention that his personality was probably influenced by whoever raised him. He probably had emotionally distant relatives. Which led to him having a superiority complex.

Touché! When you quite literally carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, it makes sense that being forced to go at it alone makes it more difficult to manage the psychological weight of that burden. Of course, it is also going to be partly influenced by a person’s inherent individual psychology but it is basic psychology that having a solid support system & knowing you are not alone in carrying the weight makes for greater resilience. Kuruuk is a good example of someone that probably caused himself more suffering than was necessary because he took on his burdens alone, in secret. He thought he was protecting his loved ones but he only hurt himself; had he been honest with his team, they probably would’ve told him they WANTED to be there for him. I think that’s the best lesson that is provided during ATLA. One just has to listen to the way team Avatar Aang responded every time he wanted to distance himself and protect them from the dangers of the Avatar’s burdens. In order to face great burdens and live up to our responsibilities, we need to be willing to accept help and support.

I think the avatar trying to balance a world that he himself threw out of balance is ironic. Separation of spirits and humans was an act of imbalance as well as humans having permanent access to the elements. There must be a give and take and all humans know how to do is take unless there are boundaries preventing them. Wan separating Vaatu and Raava, separating spirits from the physical realm and humans, and allowing humans to permanently possess bending through the world into perpetual imbalance. The avatars existence itself causes an imbalance in nature. The Red Lotus were onto something but getting rid of the avatar wouldn’t solve all the problems created by Wan and his reincarnations.

The soul of an evil avatar being a vellain and haunting the current avatar sounds like a really interesting concept to me, it doesn’t have to be this specific one but I think you could create alought of parallel’s between a dark more vengeful avatar and whoever the current avatar is with this concept, as well as do things like him/her having a chance of taking over whenever the avatar state happens and other stuff like that.
@wafflingmean4477
5 ай бұрын
Yeah an old Avatar refusing to allow a newer one to have their place in the cycle would have been INCREDIBLY interesting, especially given how depending on how much spiritual energy is concentrated in a specific location (occasionally dependent on the time of year like a solstice), and how connected an Avatar is to said place, and if the current Avatar has not yet mastered the Avatar state, an old Avatar can straight up body snatch a new one, even regaining their former appearance. I know only Roku does the latter in the original show, but that precedent means what Kyoshi does in the Netflix show is at least possible if not well executed from a writing perspective (diminishing Iroh's role in a story that is much more important for his character than Kyoshi's). And to me it's VERY clear that when Aang regained the Avatar State while fighting Ozai, that fight changed from Ozai vs Aang to Aang vs the Avatar. Aang gave up his kill shot with the lightning and was about to lose. It was clear that as soon as they were back online, the previous Avatars said "Fine, if you won't do it, we will." This wasn't one of Aang's blind rages. This was precise. They forced Aang aside, body snatched him and tried to force him to kill Ozai. Ozai wasn't even a player in the second half of that fight. He was just there. A fly to be swatted while the Avatar dealt with the real problems; Roku's lack of initiative or follow through, and Aang's naïve mercy. The most impressive thing Aang ever did was overpower them and say "No, I'm not going to end it like this." He wasn't even looking at Ozai when he said that. His eyes weren't even open. Aang was telling them to back off. So there's a lot of precedent that a previous Avatar could do a full body snatch on a less experienced Avatar, or one less tapped into their spiritual abilities than Aang was. The only issue they'd have is keeping the other Avatars at bay to ensure only their mind did the body snatch as opposed to just going into the Avatar State normally. Granted that's a pretty big issue. The inverse of this could have been quite interesting as well. Perhaps a newer Avatar (or flash back in time to before Aang and just make them the current Avatar of whatever era we're looking at) was becoming more of an antagonist. Perhaps choosing to use their power to lash out at the world as revenge for some great tragedy instead of choosing to restore balance. Such an Avatar would likely have extreme difficulty controlling the Avatar State, likely more than Aang, since the previous Avatars would either be trying to keep their distance to prevent this villainous Avatar from accessing the power, or they'd be extremely invasive, trying to take full control of the current Avatar's body. This clash of wills (and no Katara to reign this Avatar in) could wipe out entire cities if the former Avatars weren't careful.
Why isn't this a show, we need more 😫
Imagine if the avatar cycle and accessing your past life worked in a similar way to moon knights different personalities or like if an avatar from a past life could take over the current avatars body is a parasitic way. Or imagine if there was an avatar that died young but wanted to live vicariously through the current avatar to overcompensate for that.

So many cool avatar concepts we've been seeing lately; I've wanted to see an Avatar that would live in a time that mirrors what Aang's time experienced. A Fire Nation Avatar that has to try and balance the world, even though the Water Tribes and Earth Kingdom want to wage war on it. (The premise being, fire is viewed as too destructive and dangerous, so the other 3 major world powers attempt to wage war and wipe out the Fire Benders. Avatar Kiyoshi split what would become Kiyoshi Island from the mainland and was moving it away from the Earth Kingdom but the Earth King was a dumbass and refused to move so he fell into the ocean and died (or got crushed, I’m not sure nor do I care). Now sure Kiyoshi would later discuss this with Aang, with him saying _”you_ didn’t kill him, he just refused to move out of the way” and she replied “I fail to see the difference”. To me this means she acknowledges her actions (splitting the land and moving the island) caused his death but she also feels no guilt. Personally I agree with Aang: Kiyoshi didn’t *murder* him
A fun evil avatar would be if korra was raised by the red lotus but even then i have to doubt that she'd be "evil"
I think that Avatar Gun was a bit of a commentary on the ingratitude we've seen the Avatar as a whole be shown throughout the franchise; no matter what great things they accomplish, people always seem to deride them or say they're overrated or give them grief over their failings or not solving problems to a satisfactory extent whilst downplaying or outright ignoring the good they've done so far. Look at how Korra got treated by people in Republic City, complaining about the spirit vines whilst giving her absolutely no thanks for stopping the literal end of the world and then blaming her for all the damage caused by Kuvira when they'd all have been thrown into prison camps or worse if Korra hadn't fought and defeated her. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if more Avatars secretly or not-so-secretly felt this way during their careers.

Korra: and this is why Vaatu disconnected us
0:44 “Your Mesose costume’s great, but your thumb is on the wrong side!” “My thumb’s not on-WTF!?”
Don't think Rava inside the Avatar to become evil. Maybe bitter and cynical but could probably cut off his powers in a emergency or something
So I've been writing the next generation of the Avatar. So quick summary due to Vaatu being released and melding with Unoloch the first dark Avatar. Then when Korra fused with Rava defeated him and allowed them to merge into a single entity. Part of the reason I felt Korra was sick. Cause, when you think about Yang energy, is physical manifestation. The four elements are physical manifestations. And due to this Rava can utilize the four elements. Vaatu represents the Yin energy or that of mind. Mental energies are linked to 7 variations.Trauma, Development, Transfiguration, Connection, Expression, Clarity and Enlightenment. Next world building keeping with the theme of Diversity of Avatar I created factions. The Civil Union, this a faction of non benders that focused primarily on industry and human rights. They have built remarkable feats of engineering to battle against spirits. Spiritus faction, due to spirits increasingly entering our world. Those capable of understanding them would allow spirits to inhabit their bodies and merge with them. This allowed those to obtain a hybrid Spirit us form. Like the power of spirit with the ingenuity of human. This will bring in good spirits that are seen as guardians. And evil spirits that consume people as nightmares. Traditionalist faction these are the historical buffs of the old world. They reject the changing times and set in their ways. They hold the greatest benders. As due to many lacking proper discipline, culture and purpose. The power of the bending has declined. Independent factions these are the left overs of the world the forgotten. The poor, impoverished, I'll and casualties. They hold a little bit of all the factions. Yet due to them different they are shunned. Like a spirit child born with a serpents tail. Or bender that can only use ice. Perhaps industrialist that encounter accidents. The Independent faction greatest struggle are the drugs. Spirit plants have been used to create Refrain. A drug that allows one to live in a Euphoric state. This leads to how I approach the Avatar. In this instance their are actually two Avatars. Vaatu and Raava due to being separated for so long couldn't fully merged into each other. Raava had become dependent on the Avatar cycle. I changed Raava shape to be more humanoid angel like aesthetic. Whilst Vaatu had taken on a feral monster aesthetic. Any way the new Avatars Castor the girl and Pollux the boy was born to addict of their mother. I did this create immediate character tension. Yes the mother is an addict, but she still takes care of them always with a smile, working hard and full of bubbly energy. Castor was proud of her mother for everything she did. No matter how bad things got she pushed on. Yet Pollux with Vaatu learned to sense Chi at an early age. He could see spirits and the state they were in. Often Pollux is seen to talking objects or thin air. When in fact he js talking with spirits. Pollux saw that there was a darkness in his mother they kept growing. As such Pollux would go out trying to find answers. Pollux wanted to be doctor and help cure his mother of her mysterious illness. As the two Avatars would grow. Castor started to come into her bending. Immediately she used her bending to help her mother garden. She was careful to hide her bending. Knowing that crime syndicates take young benders to be in their ranks. Castor carefully practice her bending to ensure the proper climate for plants. Whilst Pollux interest in the healing arts lead him to intern with people. Pollux came to the ability to absorb the misfortune of others. He learned that by absorbing the negative people will find new vigor. Both the twins gradually improved their community. Until a crime syndicate boss came around and demanded for their mother to pay. Being an earth bender and realtor if one couldn't pay rent he would crush their homes. Even in a such a way to gain insurance money. As he came to evict them their mother attempted to defend their children. However the boss also reveals to be her dealer. Then in a twist of impulsiveness she took the drug. When Pollux came to witness a horrid sight he leapt in without thinking. Immediate stabbing the boss with syringe. As this happens Pollux is slammed against the earth repeatedly, thus killing him in the process. Yet Vaatu wouldn't allow this. Given the amount of energy he amassed he decided to heal the child. Before the mothers eyes Pollux's body contorts back to normal and is healed. His eyes swallowed by darkness, he uses his shadow to swallow the boss. As the mother saw this she was horrified. Not just by the Pollux's resurrection, but that he killed the only man she loved and their father. Even as his mother was heart broken Pollux admitted to feel nothing. He did the fair thing. He tried to kill him so he got killed. Hearing this the mother Slaps Pollux calling him a monster saying she never wanted to see him agai. That ever since he was born he had terrified her. That no matter the injury Pollux would heal in moments like it was nothing. Pollux attempts to fix his mother by absorbing her negative energy. This is when Castor arrives as she sees Pollux siphoning Chi from their mother. As she uses bending to push Pollux off she accidentally severally hurts him. Yet before she can feel regret he heals back. Pollux then feels they can be happy if he can absorb all their negativity. As she says this his shadow moves about in the shape of Vaatu. This triggers Castor Avatar state, but even with her power she couldn't kill her brother. Yet Pollux who knows the medical arts didn't mind plunging a dagger in her side. Telling not to worry once he is done they will have no memory of this. Castor Avatar state seemingly evolved as symbols appear on her skin. Suddenly she bends vapor a mist filled with her energy. Then wraps around her brother to instantly turn the mist into steam. Even with this Pollux walks forth with heavy burns all over his body. Castor then taken their mother and escaped. When Pollux finally saw himself in the mirror he saw what everyone else did. A monster, but strangely this only made him laugh hysterically. Book 1: Divergent Paths, Castor would be found by Civil Union faction. They held devices to sense spiritual energy. The more dangerous the spirit the more energy it held. Their devices broke instantly when Castor was there. She begged for them to help her mother. Castor admitted that her memory is fuzzy. Pollux disfigured would take black cloth and wrap it around his body over and over. Pollux searched for the crime syndicate. Willingly joining their ranks. He longed to get his sister and mother back. But knew he was far too weak. Learning how to fight against various benders. And secretly improving his shadow bending. He learned to overshadow others. Making them into puppets that he can control. Pollux learns by absorbing Chi he gains the memories of others. 10 years would pass as Castor would be the head secretary in Civil Union. She served as negotiation between the other two factions. To represent the people. She would only use her Avatar state sparingly not rely on it. As each time she does she feels this dark presence in her dreams. Telling her that he is coming. Yet she uses her bending less the dreams subside. Pollux has become head of the crime syndicate. Pollux has reduced the ranks of thousands of members to only a select few. Pollux experimented with his powers to allow a unique guard. Andrew Macho Savage, a pro wrestler given air bending. Andrew uses various breathing techniques to improve his abilities. Even with his large muscular frame can move like the wind. Muramasa, a blacksmith earth bender. Is a master of weapons. The weapons he forges can even harm and kill spirits. Vlad Hannibal, and Pollux tutor is a talented healer. Yet always hid his secret of being a blood bender. Often Vlad consume the blood of others to learn their illnesses. After being caught and misunderstood. Many called him a criminal, despite his decades of helping others. Vlad uses poisons & medicines in his blood. Azulia, the world's only plasma bender. Azuliawas talented fire bender even from a young age. By her adolescence she had become a top tier lighting bender. Yet this didn't satisfy her. An experiment to go beyond lightning caused her to create a plasma ball. A simple accident causes her to kill dozens of people and many injured. Though she is pure hearted, kind and respectful. Many only see her ad terrorists. So this is just summary notes, of intro and book 1. I'm working to Book 5. 7 in total. Why cause I wanted to give each faction a book of their own. And give the side characters as much attention as the main. Each explores a fundamental issue of our society. When writing due to my background. I took a TVMA perspective. My life hasn't been all flowers. Sen some horrible things. I've taken inspiration from Berserk and Hunter X Hunter. This helps bridge the Good of Avatar. The bad of Hunter X Hunter. And the Ugly of berserk

I'm invested Is there any other place I can read this
This is exactly the idea i was wonder about long time.
Which of the comics was this story told?
Years ago I have a fan made avatar story during guru laghima's era. here is what i can remember: the avatar came from the earth kingdom grew up orphaned in a era full of conflicts therefore he decides to end all conflicts. the avatar wants to unite all people regardless of their nation and will try to conquer all nation in order to end the conflicts. the avatars believes that conflicts starts with leaders disagreeing with each other so he believes that the world would be at peace if it is ruled by only one person. laghima will then find people and create a death squad to stop the avatar from conquering other nations. -a firebender that has different fire colors similar to the flames of the dragons from the firebending masters episode of ATLA (orange: long range projectiles, blue: medium range projectiles, white: melee only, red: liquid fire kind like molotov, gray: scatter ash that can explode at will, can also be used as smokescreen). -a sand bender that can also crystal bend. -a water bender that can "moisture bend" similar to hama when she pull water out of air. -and a non-bender samurai with medic backgrounds who also invented chi-blocking because of acupuncture he use as treatment for patient. in that story, laghima will unlock the flight ability but laghima's ultimate technique is Sound bending. In my story, the sound can incapacitate the enemy but it can also destroy a person's body if the user wants. think the red lotus but reverse, the avatar is kinda evil.

Ive wondered for so long if there was an evil avatar. But this proves it imagine getting reincarnated thousands of time fixing the world again and again just for humans to make it worse
2:04 where finger?
Where did you get some of the imagery? Did you use AI?
Would love to see this concept played out in the newest avatar since Korea Lost the Avatar connection. Like while the new avatar is looking for the ways to reconnect, the first avatar we meet is the most questionably evil one
This is my pet peeve with the Legend of Korra. There is no good. There is no evil. Just different perceptions and takes on every action and inaction. Some forces oppose each other, others attract, and the rest will do what they do, and dumbing that down to good and evil is anti-spiritual and extremely material. A human avatar turning his back on humanity or even contemplating it's destruction isn't evil, but a lot of other humans would note that it's pretty effed up. It's not evil because humanity isn't all there is to the world, life prevails, energy flows and evolves, and what's meant to be is meant to be, etc, etc. Saving humanity is not good because the world does not revolve around humanity, they're pretty destructive for animals, and the world would keep spinning with or without them. Humans are good, bad, and okay only to other creatures that can perceive such information, that also acknowledge it. Bias, discrimination, and opinions. Gun had them as does every other human avatar, as do every other human. If Yangchen thought that Gun was evil, as well as every other human, so be it. But Gun was an Avatar, and even something as unspecific as "Balance" isn't clear cut. All that matters is that it is somehow obtained. If humanity is destroyed, I'd imagine that Gun would have to find something else to put on the scales so they wouldn't tip out of favor.

But looking at Yang Chen it makes sense. She was all for the humans, even in cases where spirits were involved, resulting in her next life as Kuruk being cut extremely short fighting those spirits. Ofc she saw an opposing view as evil. Gun was against humanity, she was for humanity.
Hi I like the way you edited the video to match what the video is about and The Legend of Kora and Avatar the Last Airbender are my favorite shows too! I'd really like to check out the live action series as well. I wonder if it's as good as the show was. I hope they did a good job with it.

Thats the interesting thing about these characters. They usually have reasonable motivations, but often take it too far
This film should be vast as much as every avatar story needs to be. Not only about aang and Korra to be honest. Wish they could make a story about every other avatar. Would’ve been so interesting especially about Avatar Kyoshi
The dark avatar of vaatu should be canon...and air bender since should take inverse cycle that the regular one...also a great story about nature and determinstion
I loved how FC Yee especially with the Yangchen novels builds upon the whole reincarnation stuff and gives greater info.
yk the funny thing is since both rava and vatu are in the avatar now and the darkness always eats the light and vise versa eventually maybe in the next harmonic conversion we will get evil avatars for the next 10k years
I would love to watch a series based on an evil avatar.
I always wondered if there was an evil Avatar
He was right to an extent each avatar gives their life's to bring balance and people just screw it up again, most of the avatars were focused on peace to bring balance cause it was needed at that time but i see it as a yin-yang were to much chaos that avatar brings order to much order the avatar in the world at that time brings chaos to balance it out so yes we could have an evil avatar but most likely it would be out of the need to balance the world back out now thats not justifying the notion that there can't be just and evil avatar when its not needed but looking at how the cycle works in the concept of yin-yang allows for their to be an "evil avatar" in a sense
Gun desperately needed Isaac from Castlevania to rekindle he’s faith in Humanity.
Clearly you didn’t watch legend of kora the evil avatar was unalock (I don’t know how to spell it) in Sean’s 2
wait! the white lotus existed before Aang and Korra :0 i thought they were only formed after the 100 year war unless they brought that organization back
If there is more good then evil the required amount of evil could just be left with the avatar who takes out those who are causing the war on both sides. Like if toph and katara are fighting aang taking down both would technically cause piece

Finally someone else says it! Thank you friend! The whole of Korra reads like bad fan-fiction to me and was concerned I was alone in the feeling. Season one was decent, minus Korra gettting beat so bad but I could live with it as she was new to the job and was on her first adventure, but the rest had me sad as there was so many better ways to go about an evil avatar, bringing back air benders and an evil earth kingdom. Only good thing of the other seasons was the idea of a water tribe cival war. Should have kept that up and saved the evil kite for.....nothing cause evil kites are a dumb idea. Sorry for ranting lol

Ok I will concede that the fight scenes were well choreographed. I can't deny that. Art was good as well (minus whoever was in charge of spirits, evil kites and blobs of evil drag the whole thing down). Also will admit that the red lotus make for a good evil team Avatar. Though I still believe they should have saved that for the Avatar after Korra or make them her first villains. Amon was too good for an opening villian. The others just feel shallow and fall short in comparison.@@kashutosh9132

He wasn’t evil. He was just jaded by humanity and the burden of looking after it. Anyone of us would be if we were in his shoes. Being the avatar is practically a curse.
Where is all this lore from????
if they added this, could have made korra make some sense. lack of connection to plot lines made the seasons of avatar weaker.
Avatar Gun sure sounds a lot like Barnabas Tharmr from Final Fantasy: 16.
Old avatars being animated could be a great thing tho. Unlike naruto where previus generations are not that strong, each avatar could be facing same level threat like aang and ozai. My point is hundreds of avatars can be made and it wouldnt be boring
Where can I get all the avatar books, comics or graphic novels?
LoK really blew the opportunity to have an Avatar be an antagonist. I love LoK, but Season 2 blew a gigantic hole in the story's lore. Several, actually. The worst in my opinion being making the Avatar literally fuse with the spirit of light and goodness as their origin and source of power. I think Avatar Wan's story was SO close to being good but they misfired. In my opinion, instead of accidentally being responsible for the growth in Vaatu (spirit of darkness and evil... ugh, such nuance)'s power, there should have been a spirit that dubbed itself the Spirit of Balance (key part, it gave itself that title and duty. No matter how powerful, virtuous or fair this original spirit was, this would subtly emphasise that the Avatar at the end of the day really has no more right to bring balance to the world than anyone else, and therefore makes it more understandable for other spirits to ignore the Avatar's will, like Wan Shi Tong). One being, that Wan accidentally gets killed, or wounded to the point where it can't continue. Perhaps with its mind doomed to fade and its power not far behind, until Wan decided to attempt to correct his mistake upon finding a way to fuse with the spirit, claiming its power but choosing to carry on a duty of someone who is completely gone. Similar to how Yue took on the Moon Spirits powers but the actual personality of the Moon Spirit seemed to have truly died. Yue seems quite enlightened after becoming a spirit, but she still seems mostly like herself. She never refers to herself as having existed before her own birth, like the former Moon Spirit might have. By keeping Raava in play, LoK made Raava the undisputed master of the Avatar. She has more of a say than any past life. She is the incarnation of good. She can't be wrong. It's just so boring. But if Wan took the power of a spirit he looked up to but a spirit who was unquestionably gone, then every Avatar is free to interpret their duty as they see fit. Every Avatar, like every human, would be capable of great kindness and also great cruelty, without the possibility of the Spirit of Light just stepping in and telling them what is the right call, which Raava can do, even if she is presented as a little fallible in Wan's story.
Gun was never evil. He was close to becoming evil but he never fully went bad.
Not only is he not evil, but I wholeheartedly agree with him. If you created an avatar based off of me, it would literally be him.
you can't destroy vattu just like you can't destroy rava. so even by killing dark avatar UnaVaatu he would be reincarnated just like the avatar from Rava. So technically there is an evil avatar. I mean they are two different version of this: One: the dark avatar will come back. Two : by not just killing him but making him purifying him they destroyed vatuu forever
Nice job
Good and evil are entirely subjective. So whose definition is used to make that determination? To Ozai and thousands of fire nation citizens Avatar Aang was evil. To Vaatu and Zaheer Korra was evil. . So is it based on what the majority of people say is evil? What if the society has grown decadent and corrupt ( by most of our standards)? Or based on what the avatar themselves say is evil? Or based on what some old spirit(s) say is evil?
It would be interesting to see a story where the avatar is actually the villain. It could be because of dark spiritual corruption, the world being too good and needing “balance”, etc. and the goal would be to try and kill this avatar so the next can be better.

Honestly calling Gun evil is quite a stretch. He was definitely a cynic because he was tired of people taking him for granted. Basically they thought of him as a safety net rather than a fire extinguisher, so they had as much freedom to screw around as much as they like and he'd always be there to catch them.
I always wandered about this
Lol I know how you feel gun
avatar gun is giving me ultraman agul vibes
Gun wasn't evil. He just didn't like how humans are naturally creating chaos and evil. He think humans doesn't deserve the Avatar but still never held himself back from helping them. He believed humans are to ruled by someone strong and smart because they don't have what it takes to make their own decisions.
I think this should be the avatar that practiced blood bending
What if we get a Avatar like Kuvira? Oshit.
Idk if he’s evil; just frustrated. He worked tirelessly to bring balance to the world (which is an inherently un-completeable task) and kept catching shit from people that thought they had a better understanding of the balance an avatar should bring
what's the source of this?
I'd argue that Gun (whose gender was never specified, but was _probably_ male seeing as his name and backstory refer to a specific mythological entity) wasn't precisely "evil." He was definitely misanthropic and unstable, though.
I want to see an avatar who didn't do their duties as one and just lived there love nonchalantly doing what they want that would be so fucking cool thx.
