My favorite parts about bending is that every element has ability to mimic a different element in its property, like lighting redirection being a water bending technique in form, or how you could move ice like a earth bender, lava bender being able to move earth like water, a fire bender can move in air like a air bender by propelling them selves with fire

Bro was so on point, even the blood bending was included and Azula’s lightning On god this is the best animation I’ve seen all day.

I love how when lightning started, the bender used the exact form and moves that Azula did during the final Agni Kai. Purely beautiful and breathtaking

I loved when he threw the giant boulder. He couldn’t just punch or kick it to launch it, he had to find a good “leverage” point and build momentum to get it going. It’s like he’s wrestling with a mountain, so cool.

I like how there's actual weight and effort put into the Earthbending, they have to physically move the earth with striking or pulling motions. It's a nice detail that I like about it.

​@@andrewrocks5067 yeahh! was hoping to see more of the spiritual side of each element too -- VERY GOOD WORK but it seemed to emphasize the lethality of the different elements :0 definitely an interesting collection of movesets though and the animation, sound, and designs are IMPECCABLE

The air bender taking the air out of our lungs was indeed very cool, AND THE BLOOD BENDING? priceless. I also enjoyed the other forms as lava bending, metal bending and lighting bending. They are the things that make each bender special.

this two minutes were the best I had after a long time

Every specialized use of an element gave me chills. I've never seen such a clear, concise demonstration of all these techniques, one after the other. It brought to mind all the scenes I've seen these forms used, like Iroh teaching lightning redirection, the attack of -Combustion Man- Sparky Sparky Boom Man, the flight of Zaheer, Hama forcing Katara to learn, etc. Love every second of this. Also, when the earthbender turned the staff into coins, I immediately thought of Vin, Kelsier, Wax, and other Mistborn or Coinshots. Edit: Thanks for 1k+ likes! I think that's my most ever on a comment; feels like I stumbled upon the Well of Ascension

Legend of Korra had its strong points, that being amazing fights and animation and (In my opinion) really interesting villains in the form of Amon and the Red Lotus, but it definitely fell short of the original.

I love the way water bending is so smooth, and a how the movements “flow” together.

The movement, lighting, impact frames and absolutely everything else about this is majestic

I did not expect the inclusion of "Sub Elements" in this animation. Or the Lava Bending to Fire Bending transition. That blew my mind and kept me entertained. This is *amazing.* You should feel very proud of yourself.

I’m so glad you captured the beauty of all of these bending styles so well. I can see that a lot of the innovation and new bending styles was inspired by many of the fight scenes from the Legend of Korra and I can almost clearly recall which scenes the moves are from. Thank you for being creative while also capturing the beautiful movements found in both ATLA and TLOK. Some of my favorite moments you animated that were more subtle were from Ming Hua, Kya, Tarlok (shards of ice), Ghazan, Unalaq (water spouts), P’li, Avatar state Korra (launching the boulder), Avatar Yang Chen (air wall), Sue Yin Beifong (bending/ fighting with a metal rod), and Kuvira (using solid metal from her armor while also bending liquid metal)!! Those are just a few moments I noticed and I hope someone else was able to see them too :)

I used to watch your animations a lot. Like, in a daily basis. It's great seeing how far you've come and how much you evolved. I love your work and i'm here since the beginning. Good job, Jared 💗

I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of hard work it took and skill you need to have to make such amazing animation, from the inclusion of the extra bending styles each element has, to subtle things like the gentle movements air benders have ,the imitation of struggle of the earth benders when they pull out the rocks, the quick punches fire benders have, the rubble that remains on the ground caused by the explosions and the battle styles of water benders. I'm not sure if this was a one person project, but if it was, it was clearly made with care and attention, and it absolutely left me amazed.

This is amazing. I like the earthbending most. You captured the “oomph“ in each set of its moves perfectly.

Watched this in awe, not just as an avatar fan but as someone who appreciates hard work, dedication, and practice.

I don't know who you are, or why you just suddenly appeared in my recommended, but this was absolutely stunning. I was mesmerized by it the whole time and everything was perfect; from the strong, rigid motions of earth bending, powerful strikes of a fire bender and the perfect flow of air and water, you took it all into account. I know how much work goes into something as short as this and I can tell 100% that this was a labor of love - and I loved E V E R Y BIT of it. I hope your work, your passion takes you far beyond anything you'll ever expect.

The fact that you made the Firebender burn the mark into their head for combustion bending is amazing. The idea of metal rings on the Earthbender's arms that turn into a staff was incredibly creative. The blood bending of the viewer's perspective was fantastic. All of these displays truly feel like what a master of each Element could pull off. This is the best Avatar animation No, the best _animation_ that I've ever seen

The fact that each bender has their own outfit truly shows the immense amount of effort and energy that was put into this. Each representing their own nation’s clothing style is amazing. The animation is brilliant! I as a fan and an artist I am utterly impressed.

Thank you! Hmm in general, hardest part for me is probably the planning stage where i had to plan out the movements. Animation wise I would say water. The physics of it and how it disperses into smaller droplets was tough to make it look somewhat believable

thats what im thinking ahhhh 😭😭😭 the moment i saw the 1st guy bending earth in the worst form possible while running, i knew it was gonna be a terrible show it was so corny too when the kyoshi warriors said there would be a sign if the avatar was there, then coincidentally kyoshi's statue shone beams of light on aang even the intro of the show was soo bad, "the next master of all four elements, an airbender, who may not be ready for the responsibility of becoming.. the avatar" like whaaat?? the end of the 1st episode too OH MY GOD, "i.. am the avatar.. and this.. is just the beginning" WAS THE SCRIPT WRITTEN BY FUCKING CHATGPT OR SOMETHING???? plus, aang's actor's voice already changed, so if season 2 comes in a year or 2, it's not gonna be pretty lmao we're gonna have to pretend that he's 12 like how we did for the others in stranger things

I feel like the bending most of the time in the show was pretty bad. That first time we see aang just kind of floating around was just goofy and weird, but I will say most of Zuko’s bending looked alright to me, but Katara’s and Paku’s fight scene really disappointed me.

How does this not have millions of views? (This is a rhetorical question) It is a masterpiece, not to mention the incredible music as well. More people need to see and react to this amazing work of art. I am mesmerised by how flawless the animation and the music is in every single frame. I could watch this over a million times and never get tired of it. This needs to go out to more people because in my opinion, this is flawless. Well done for your hard work. Yes I know its because the account is more famous but the sheer quality of such an brilliant amount of hard work and talent needs to be recognised more by the public. Not to mention that due to how youtube is nowadays, its unlikely that they will recommend this video to alot of people. I understand its so unfair nowadays.

You know it's some amazing stuff in that he caught the spirit of the fighting style in its animation. 1. Earth: power, slow but unstoppable 2. Fire: explosive, straight forward, powerful 3. Air: tricky, unreadable, fluent transitions, swift 4. Water: fluent, building up, decieving Nickelodeon put a lot of effort into characterizing the tribes as well as implementing those traits into the fighting style and you managed to capture it. Really great stuff.

I love how each Bender represents their style greatly in the animation The Earthbender displays the sturdiness and strength in Earthbending, showing the weight of the earth & rocks and the strength it takes to bend it. The Firebender shows Firebendings power and quick striking, presenting fast movements accompanied with large flames, attacking in a blitzing-like fashion. The Airbender is swift, agile acrobatic and dynamic, fighting quite differently from the others, having movements less akin to striking [punching, kicking] like the others and more so doing quick pushes as to move the wind in that direction. And then the Waterbender. While they don't seem to show much of the "fluid and relfective" style of waterbending, they instead display the versatility of Waterbending and how it can be used in many ways. Including the vile form of Bloodbending.

THIS IS *INCREDIBLE* AAAA also the way in which you use the audience, especially for water and air? the way OUR breath is stolen and we're blood bent, shown using the hands + angles (and those angles were incredible)... AAA movements perfect, effects perfect, every element and their sub-bendings done perfectly, this is AWESOME aaa

One of the things I've always loved about Avatar is that their powers are tied to martial arts. Only the untrained are slinging their powers around all willy nilly, to have control of their power, they have to have control of their bodies. It's a beautiful synergy that I always love seeing brought to life through the show and the fan animations of it.

It's less about synergy and more about how the human brain isn't really built for magic regardless. The motions are just a replacement for traditional incantations and other spell-work. It's exactly the same thing, otherwise. The thing is that it's still magic, and since magic completely goes against everything observable in the universe (i.e. it doesn't exist), it needs a mechanism through which to act on the (fictional) universe. That mechanism is usually some kind of chant or device or such that connects reality to the bullshit magic, and makes the things happen. In Avatar, it's martial arts. That's all. It's just how they associate the appropriate powers with their effects since otherwise the entire process is just nonsensical to our brains. Unless you're crazy, and then it's sensible, but just wouldn't work at all.

@@DoremiFasolatido1979 I see where you're coming from but I don't quite agree. Any kind of medium used to control a power is a synergy. As for our minds being able to comprehend it, I don't think that's true either. Traditional magic is all about focusing mana into different forms using words of power, it requires a knowledge of how that power interacts with the world, in Avatar, the power is chi, and that belief is less about knowing how that power moves through the world and more about how it moves through ones own body. The point I'm trying to make is that I don't think it's about our lack of understanding of a power, it's just about the rules attached to the power. In both cases the power has established rules based, and you see creatures other than humans employ these same rules in both cases. In DnD you see all manner of mortal races, Gods and demons employ magic in much the same way just on a grander scale. Same in Avatar, you see animals employ bending through an understanding of their bodies and the way the energy moves through them, hence why humans adopted their bending forms from animals.

i dont think you understand. For example, the fist and elbow thrusts project strength and stability and the stances of the earth benders LOOK like they are always grounded and stable. In martial arts there are certain stances that the teachers will hit you with a stick and test how stable you are. Everything I said is very characteristic of what we think of as Earth. Earth is the foundation of structure, it is stable and strong, it is used to create defenses and fortresses, it is defense! Earth is also weaponized. For water the martial arts used are more fluid and more sweeping which is characteristic of water. Etc.. etc... FYI martial arts are NOT substitutions for incantations and other "spell-work" that does not even make any sense. @@DoremiFasolatido1979

exactly, magic in the avatar is in the Chi which is in the body. Traditional magic is more like using scrolls and words and focusing on drawing patterns and such@@pulpjedaii

@@DoremiFasolatido1979 If it were just "a movement" or as you compared it to a "chant" then every "spell" should behave exactly the same regardless of who says it, or how much they have practiced it; but it doesn't in Avatar. Katara versus the old woman who was a "master blood bender" proves there is something more than just "magical words/motion". I think it MIGHT (take it with a grain of salt), go back to chi, but I'm honestly grasping straws here. Or plot armor, lol. That's always on the table.

I love how as each element was used, it showed not only very cool uses of the base element but all the advanced techniques we see in the shows. Brilliant stuff.

We all agree that the dude needs to be on the ATLA & LOK studio team, and another thing i noticed is that they drawed out of the box DAYUMM!!!!!

I don't know how you managed to condense the entire feel and beauty of the show in a few minutes but holy hell you did it. I honestly feel this should be the point of reference for any future avatar projects because it's absolutely perfect.

This is some of the best animation on the platform. It’s so fluid and has so much detail and the sound effects, they were perfect they were perfectly timed and just sounded amazing. Keep continuing what you’re doing, this is perfect.

If people knew that all these skills were possible to achieve in real life, no one would be wasting their time. I have been able to achieve it but people are still asleep.

You came up with better metal bending than the show.

This combines the innovations of bending abilities with the flow and style of the original ATLA (which I really missed in LOK). What I wouldn't give to see a series animated like this again! Especially that lightning slash from the firebender - superb! Had me saying WOW the whole time!

the one thing I love with each bender is the different clothes they're wearing! When I first saw it, I thought its the same outfit throughout but rewatching it a few more times, it made me realize that although similar, each bender has a different outfit that corelates to their element which is pretty cool!

Right. Considering the flaps: 2 short side flaps for practicality earth 1 diamond shaped overlapping 2 side flaps for style/expression fire 1 perfect rectangle for balance air and 1 smooth edged flap for a softer aesthetic water that's my take.

Yeah. When it got to the water bending, I was like how is he going to do the bloodbending but as always he nailed it

this captured the elegant yet threatening forces that these benders held within the show. i am extremely happy with this, it gives me hope that the series will never die out.

There are plenty of very talented animators who can match this level. The reason series seem lower quality is from the budget limitations, having a schedule and deadlines to reach, and also the series having many more hours of animation. You should complement the guy but at least be realistic.

I really like how this captures not only the basic bending styles that are introduced in the very first avatar intro, but also shows of the many diverse and unique bending styles introduced throughout the avatar series. It really emphasizes how creative the avatar team were when coming up with unique ways that each of the four elements could be used

The sound effects fit perfectly with the visuals. Really well done!

The Combustion bending goes so hard

I LOVE the earthbending part. The 3 main styles of earthbending, with the smooth transitions and the sound effects, clearly the one where I felt you put the most love into. Thanks for this piece of art.
