I love how he calls a $250 fishing rod the budget alternative.
The shimano poison adrena 6'11 med+ can cover about a dozen different tactics. It's my favorite all around rod.
I can’t imagine being fooled into buying a $200+ rod when most professionals usually only use rods that are around 100$ (Jacob wheeler, Kevin van dam) and many more. Mean while these average joes are using 500$ rods with less success😂
If I could fish one rod for the rest of my life it would probably be the P5 Super Destroyer. I throw literally anything on it. Doesn’t matter. Everything just… works
LMFAO, maybe carrying 40 rods bank fishing is the reason I haven't had too much luck 😅 either that or it's my lack of wanting to walk everywhere! I don't go fishing anymore, I go rod, reel, and bait testing.... 🤣
In the real world we can't really carry 10-30 rods with us and this is especially true for bank anglers. Carrying 2-3 rods that can do a little of everything is far more efficient. Carrying a 7ft Medium Heavy casting rod and a 6'6"-7' Medium spinning rod will allow you to fish most fishing techniques. Also, if you don't mind carrying an extra/3rd rod then a heavy power rod will allow you to fish most techniques too like frogs and punching.
6'10M Expride, 843 MBR, 844 MBR and I have every technique covered besides Swimbaits and Punching.
Basically stuff only rich people can buy
Alll the rods he likes most Steed AGS $600 not you're average bank fishermen 😢
I only fish Carolina rigs. How dare you
Awesome video. Very informative. This will help allot of people who are limited to how many setups they can have. Especially people travling like myself, from one country to another chasing the green monsters. Love it.
My new favorite channel, very classy and no bullsh*t. Thank yall
Love all the recommendations. I’ll take the 7’3” poison Adrena as my “mh fast” rod though. Also the 873 is such a sleeper! Sick video!
My Megabass P5 Destroyer Tequila Baccarac has become one of my most used, most versatile rods when kayak fishing. Mag draft, big Spinnerbait, small arigs, deep cranks, big jigs and phenomenal frog rod in a short 7ft rod.... it's truly amazing. My most versatile MH rod is my St Croix Legend Xtreme 7ft. Incredibly sensitive and a do everything, awesome bottom bait rod compact enough not to be cumbersome in a kayak.... love it!!! 👍
Them Poison Adrenas are super versatile as well. Sleeper rods that hardly ever get mentioned. The Ever green ND180 combat stick is for sure my favorite rod out of all the rods I own .
I’m a pretty big snob when it comes to having dialed in technique specific gear. But the truth is that versatility is often overlooked, yet it is super important if you’re a guy that jumps in to your buddies boats and fishes with them all of the time.
Very well said. Clear, concise. Thanks
I have a float tube work around. I built a rack to hold 12 rods on my tube. It’s nice being a custom rod builder and being able to bring a bunch of rods, even on a tube.
G Loomis conquest 843C and 903c. That MBR taper is money. Swim jigs, low key 2.5 evoke/ or other cranks in that weight range. Chatterbaits, spinnerbaits.
Thanks so much for thinking about the Kayak guys. I do kayak some for Shoal Bass which I am addicted to because of the amazing fight they give you. Most of them are in water that will tear a boat to pieces and I have started to really enjoy fishing from a kayak.
