I mean I know prices are crazy, but if you’re like me, I know for a fact serving sizes like that for me, is gonna be thrown out. Sometimes I’ll eat leftovers the next day, all depending on what it is bc there’s lots of things I won’t eat that’s left over, no matter how you serve it lol. But I’m never gonna eat those leftovers but one time, if any at all. So I like the smaller serving sizes too 🤷‍♀️

Why are too-big portions a problem? Take the rest home!!

I prefer large portions..gives me extra meals and i hate to cook so saves me that hassle too..and $55 fir those mini portions is twice what it should be..

Blue cheese is essential. I got wings once from a pizza restaurant, and they gave me ranch instead of blue cheese for dip. Literally drove back to the restaurant to get my blue cheese that i ordered. Otherwise, there was no point to the wings. I get the honey barbecue, I love sweet food and the blue cheese complimented. If you dont get the blue cheese, wings are still good, but the blue cheese makes the meal.

I feel like you get me just from this comment 😂 so I'm gonna share my wing recipe & prep, feel free to read if you want or just ignore. Wings are a big treat for me like luxury almost I get them maybe once a year so it has to be the full experience. I make them myself so I make the recipe for the Applebee's buffalo sauce (it's easy to find online, just measure everything properly & whisk it well, it'll turn out great every time especially if you use good quality butter & hot sauce) Wings come out to thaw in the fridge two days in advance then everything else gets purchased & made a day in advance. I buy a jar of the Lighthouse brand blue cheese dressing (it's my personal favorite) pick out the best bunch of celery then scrub, trim & peel it before wrapping it in a paper towel in a sealed container so it'll stay nice & crisp for the next day. I thaw one of those 8 lb bags of party wings from Walmart in the fridge for 2 days so they thaw nice & slow then I pat them dry, put them on a baking sheet with aluminum or parchment & brush each one with garlic, salt & pepper compound butter then bake at 400°F until golden & abt 130°F, they'll finish cooking in the oil, let rest then they go into the fridge for the night. The next day I pull out those wings & let them come to room temp on open air racks, season up some cornstarch with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika & a little cayenne then roll those wings in there just long enough to get a good coating then down into 350°F oil in batches for 3-5 minutes or until golden & crispy & 140°F. While those are cooking I get a platter ready with my celery & bowl of blue cheese, I keep a wet washcloth in a bowl next to the platter for my hands & face rather than dry napkins, it feels nice when you start feeling that familiar buffalo sauce burn on your lips, face & fingers. Timer goes off wings come out & immediately into the tossing bowl with a few Tbsp of that buffalo sauce at a time so they get coated but not soggy then it's time to pop a crispy diet Coke, put on a game, a good flick or something binge worthy & enjoy the spoils. Obviously if you try this have whatever drink you want, yes it's a bit of work but oh so worth it, made me understand why the good ones are a little more pricey when you buy them at a bar or restaurant.

I know at Applebees they made a little more than servers. Servers it was like 2.19 an hour+ tips and the to go was 4 an hour+ tips. You definitely do better money wise if you’re a server and not the to go person. Lol

My daughter worked at a restaurant as a hostess but she also handled the to-go orders and she said that she counted on those tips because she made minimum wage and that she would take the time to make sure the order was correct, package it up, etc. The tips were always appreciated. So, I always tip when I pick up an order. Not as much as I would for delivery but a few dollars isn’t a big deal for me to give them and the surprise on their face is always worth it. Now if they were rude though, they aren’t getting anything.
