I think an important point that was missed with portable gaming is that you have MANY people that have invested in their game library through steam. I bought a steam deck and decided to buy another for my family because it has served us well! For those individuals that moved from console gaming to the computer and miss that console experience without the price tag of reinvesting for the exact games they own I think is a huge driving factor that sold so many to the steam deck.

In defense of jackson: When at home, I take off my pants to use the bathroom because they're annoying. I also tend to take my shirt off purely as a habit from being a kid. I was always told to keep my shirt up to keep it out of the way and not get anything on it, I got tired of homding it up so I started either just taking it off or one-arming it. Aside from that, my bathroom isn't air conditioned and I live in the most humid place in the continental us and it's always hot af so it helps. It's also just more comfy.

1:12:00 That was RUTHLESS of Andrew. And the Chinese/off brand Legos brought back a deep anger I had like 20 years ago. As a kid I kept Legos in one tote bin and “MeGa BlOcKs” in another because they didn’t fit together well and it’d be a SIN to combine them. Well one day my mom decided to do just that to save space in the small closet they inhabited. I kept my cool because I knew she didn’t know what she did. But that was one of the last days I played with Legos 😂

The console/pc argument was so infuriating to listen to. It's kinda crazy that none of them were able to answer the question of "why can't they just sell beefy pcs for 500 bucks." They literally lose money on the sale of each console and depend on the sale of software to subsizide the cost.

Jackson is totally right. These debates are a decades old thing and it’s just a reformatting of this cultural clash of tropes. We just ignore or put to the sidelines that gender roles are constantly being challenged and pressured and people are constantly agitated. I could write an essay about it, but a prime example are tomboys. In the 80s or 90s, they finally became fairly acceptable, but before the 60s, women with short hair who didn’t wear skirts were almost shunned and barred from most places. Now a bunch of losers are talking about how we’ve gone too far and need to go back to that. But they’re just carrying a generational insecurity of a dying power structure. Rather than rationally dissect the distinct contemporary issues people face in their demographics, they want to blame every problem on not forcing weird gender roles, purposes, and functions on people like they are these programmed robots who serve this grand system-rather than their own self interest. We can discuss the shortcomings and insufficiencies of our social organization without taking away people’s agency and ability to define their own meaning. Because that’s what it all is. There is no absolute “truth” that encompasses and serves all humanity or all life. If we simply lived to procreate and pass down genes, why would we create so much in this world to represent who we are? Because it’s not just about survival, it’s about living, and no one gets to tell you how you live. Our meaning is our reason, and that is self-exclusive. No one can tell you what your reason is.

I did edibles with a coworker who smokes a lot before closing at work once. Worst experience of my life but it makes for a good story. Basically I learned what the attention span of a goldfish was, I couldn't focus for more than 10 seconds on anything (even the thought of thinking about focusing). Everything I saw was like it was in "theater mode" and I was sitting watching myself. Because I couldn't focus on making drinks (Starbucks) my coworker sent me to the back she'd take care of everything and honestly she was a godsend. It was like time was repeating, or tripled in length. I thought my 10 minute break was over within what was probably only 1-2 minutes, my anxiety was out of control, I was super stressed and panicking so I just drank water and tried to force vomit to clean my system. Sometimes if I'm having a bad day I think back to that knowing it could be worse.

It’s way to expensive to counter bots and not profitable

@@markmunoz6324 a youtuber called thiojoe has made a python script that can identify and ban (if you use it with a channel mod or owner account) more than 95% of these low effort bots. It's not "expensive" or "hard". The issue is that bots are boosting their statistics, same as with Twitter and everybody else so they would harm their perceived value if they actually started to massively filter and ban the bots. Shadowbanning actual humans is instead perfectly fine

@@marcogenovesi8570 but trying to keep up and with mass scale still can be expensive. Just because there is a fix currently does not mean it will last for long. Also businesses are like bureaucracies the bigger they are the more red tape there is

Ya know when people are in grave shame, or denial of something, so they talk down on said thing vehemently to make everyone think they are not said thing? Almost obsessively, as if they can’t stop thinking about it? This is just an observation, but Kaya always brings up something every podcast, and each time I grow wearier of it.. don’t know if anyone else is getting what i’m putting down

Ban pornography, homosexuality, transgenderism, masturbation, and what children are exposed to should be important dress nicer and fancier and repent and worship the one true GOD JESUS CHRIST. If I had my way this country would be cleaned up and everyone would be at peace and happy because of all of these ideals.

I'm a girl and I take my clothes off to shit because I don't want to get them "dirty". I literally keep them in the bathroom before going inside the toilet lol. But I get the point of being hot because I also get way hotter than other people. It's like hair, you have to put it up before shitting if it's long to not get it dirty lol.
