You Nice guy AngryBird!
"This character took $200K from me" 🤣🤣🤣. Kakeru has turned Angry Bird into ANGRIEST Bird I love content like this. It says a lot that arguably the best player in the world is happy to share their own knowledge. That attitude is why both the Birds are destined for the Fighting Game hall of fame.

Just a note, he's definitely saying 200k, not 200. But yes I agree, it's one of the best things about the FGC as a whole is almost everyone is happy to share knowledge. Everyone who truly loves the character they play will always be happy to brag to you about their coolest tech, the sickest combos, etc. And outside of tourney, they love to talk to each other and improve both of their ability to play matchups.

@@TenjinZekken People share and they don't share. If there's a big tourney coming and some pro has discovered something really strong, they usually keep it to themselves until after the tournament. With money on the line. It's understandable. But yeah generally the competitive scene is mostly pretty great most of the top players are pretty chill people. And even the troublemakers and complainers are usually pretty decent people when you get down to it. There aren't that many leffens.

I have a feeling Kakeru is hiding all his tech. Dude has been on a losing streak to many other top Japanese players in online matches.
@thegoldengunman

It would be amazing if he does. Back in the day in Japanese arcades, there used to be "Mooks." These were notes that all the arcade players worked on together, so someone might put something like "I found this great tech against Ken" or "Here is the optimal punish combo for whiffed Amnesia", etc. That was one of the reasons why their players are so good, not only do they play the best, they are sharing knowledge and deconstructing the game together. This is why Angry Bird is going to be so good. Even if players start working out how to beat him, he's got the mindset to work out how to deal with new problems he's got to solve.
Damn, you can literally see the joy in his eyes as he brings this to us. Good stuff, champ.
Haha I love it, "this character took $200,000 from me".. he is on a mission
You are so good in explaining strategys pls do more of those guides they are so helpfull
This better get at least 1M views the way how everyone bitches about JP
It is very generous of you to share all of this. Thank you man!
Pretty impressive for an EVO champion to share his tech with us and his rivals. That shows true confidence and love for the game. Respects.

It makes sense when you think about it. The more other players win against JP in a tourney using this tech the less JP players he has to play against in that same tournament, it's not like he's sharing anti Ken tech.

Whenever AB says “look at this” you know he’s bringing the heat
Amazing breakdown. Not only did I learn about JP but also about what to be aware of in general for SF6. Clean work!!!
Thanks AB for sharing your thought process and analysis 🙏 I feel like this is going to help me improve my way of watching my own matches and find the details and stuff that trips me up vs certain characters
OMG I forgot something important to keep in mind that I didn't know until Yipes pointed it out on his Can Opener commentary. Blocking any of JPs spikes actually take less driving gauge than parrying them does. I think it was a BananaKen match but I was pretty surprised to see it for myself. This is some awesome tech. I love that JP is so good, but SF6 is such a good game that people aren't complaining they're coming together to lab him out of top tier.
I've been a lot in the lab lately for this character as well, and yes. JP's standing fierce is great to destroy drive gauge since it can be used to gain distance immediately and quite difficult to challenge at his max range. We still need a fucking degree to fight him properly but we getting there. Great stuff man!
This is awesome stuff Amjad. I'd already been labbing and figured out how useful run stepkick was, but this other tech is superb. Was really having a problem dealing with the portal trap into JP's delayed DR, can't believe I didn't even test something as simple as sweep on reaction! Can't say I've lost 200k to this character, but I've definitely been losing some points taking unnecessary risks with run tatsu to punish portal activation/fake fireball!
I love that you are sharing the fundamentals of the strategy that any character can use before talking about ken specific details. Top notch guide my man.
Not that high level players do wakeup DI, but at the lower level (where I am) thats still an option being represented. your tech at look at the drive guage also works for my own counter DI. sick tech, feels so simple when you say it.
Angry Bird explaining anything gets me hype af
Hopefully you do more guides like this. Very well done, Angrybird.
Lol i like to hear the passion, you can tell he did hella homework on this. Thanks for the tech.
Step 1 - Use Ken
The JP vs Ken wars continue!
This is AMAZING! Keep up the fantastic content!
Very informative, you can tell he's done a TON of research for this. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us AngryBird!
Punk always asking how you're so optimal. This is how! Focused, practical lab work. Amazing stuff.
Just to highlight something guys, I have never seen someone sharing some strategies and high level knowledge that can put him in a position of winning 6 digits money!!! I have mad respect to #the_BIRDS for 2 reasons: 1- Spending days or maybe weeks Lab’ing characters to come up with a formula that can be shared with us as a “LONG STORY SHORT” summary 2- Guys are super HUMBLE and Social and supportive!!
Love seeing you push this game even further beyond
Ok you've done the 2nd best character now for THE OFFICIAL GUIDE TO DESTROY KEN. JP is cheap but he's somewhat fun to fight but Kenneth is just straight up bullshit at every turn.
Thanks for sharing man, helps a ton, keep it up.
Thank you sir for your insight. Much, much appreciated.
Loved this! Down with JP!
Thanks for an outstanding Video. Totally love how it shows your mentality.
@8:48 . If he spams drive impact right after parry he will beat you. Tested a many times in practice mode as well. You can see it doesn't say punish counter. Only way for it to work is if you're doing it at literally almost the same frame, which is pretty much impossible. Test out out in practice mode. FYI: If he gets wallsplat instead of punishcounter there IS time to press DI from his side. TLDR: Not actually a punish for parry unless you press at the same frame(which is impossible for like 99.99% of people)
@Vandalier74
6 ай бұрын
It's a wall splat punish. Tapping parry has 26 frames of recovery in which you can only cancel to DR or block. He cannot DI you back at all, and if it's the case, it won't say punish counter bc he was blocking. If you couldn't make this tech work, you probably set it up wrong dude.
Thank you so much for sharing the tech, you have my gratitude.
This is amazing, I learned a lot from this video, thanks!
Thank you for this! I will do my best to to do my part in taking him down 💪🏽
Thanks brother. Using these tips with my manon really gonna help
LOOKING AT THE DRIVE GAUGE IS THE MOST BRILLIANT THING TO BEAT THOSE OPTIONS! YOOOO!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY I WATCHED THIS!😮😮
Yeah that’s just what I needed. I lost my Diamond rank last night And all I played against was JP it was Jp for three hours straight.
Great stuff. Thanks !
Thank you so much for sharing the tech 🙏🤩
“Terrible… terrible good” was a translation thing. In Spanish we can also use terrible to describe a good or a bad thing too.
Uh-oh Brian....
this is some old day youtube shit, middle east accent, confidence in voice, teaching you some real shit. I just wish his mic sounded like it was being flushed down the toilet while he was talking and it would feel like 2009.
Nice, learnt new stuff🙌🏾
Appreciate the knowledge brother!
Love it! Angrybird out here sharin' the sauce.
Awesome content!
Best video so far, please don't stop playing Ken!
Crazy he posted this for everyone to see. if I were Kakeru, I would start baiting DI with parry>DR>DI when trapped in the corner.
Let him cook
thanks for this, I'm not a Ken main but this will help anyway
True King 👑, thanks a lot for sharing all of this 🙏
Both the Birds are humble and likeable. Thanks Angrybird sensei.
Nemo dropped a video on this a month ago i think. I just didnt think it was possible to react and di on time. But you foreal advanced that bit of info into a real viable option now 🔥🔥 good shit brother 🤘🏽
@digitalsmear
10 ай бұрын
This is different from Nemo's tech because Nemo's was specific to one particular situational read. This is an option-select, of sorts, because it's allowing for a situational reaction. If you only use Nemo's tech, then you only counter Amnesia, but not parry or forward jump.
This is the best JP matchup breakdown I've seen and it's from none other the champ himself. Thank you for sharing it with us
THAT WAS THE HYPEST INTRO OF ALL TIME!!!!! LETS GOOOOOOOO!!
Kens jumping heavy punch puts in work boy 👌
This was an amazing set of tips

thanks for the guide bro hella helpful lmao
Thank you so much!
the option for both parry and amnesia had me lean back and exclaim "WHAT THE FUCK?!" i would have never thought of shimmy DI because of the risk against all other characters
Thanks for sharing champ!
A man on a mission! haha good stuff
God! Thank so much AB!

THIS is the SAUCE of gaming. Player creativity! Not everytime begging and complaining for nerfs and buffs like 5 year old. The developers knew what they were doing. They take many meetings and many years to work. And most of it is to bring ot player creativity and PROBLEM SOLVING.
Thats true about heavy punch from JP, i main manon and i noticed her HP takes nearly a full bar of drive. More than JP, if JP's took the same, boy this problem would be worse. for you manon mains out there, you welcome lol

amazing 👏
14:12 In this example, if Departure fires first, it will be hit. I think it is better to protect it with parry, but I wonder what AB-SENSEI would think.
Burnout just changes the game from SF6 to SF2 .. no problem 😅
nothing matters if you gonna get perfect parried
holy shit good tech angrybird!
