Agreed but nowadays they would call us simps or weak if we were like this unfortunately
This song was one of my dad's favs. He played that tape repeatedly. As a retired Vet, he still has it in his mix, but now on his iPhone. Memories, O'Jays are timeless. Now, I have this in my mix. Talk with Daddy every day, but states apart, this song brings him right in the room with me.
Now That’s What You call a grown ass man with a pure heart and soul because he’s comfortable because he has grown up to realize and understand who he is as a man plus he’s affectionate he’s opened to communicate his feelings and yet still be understanding and respectful of his lady and her thoughts and he had time to lay and talk with her about their feelings the emotions and that’s all I can say just wishing that all females and males had love like that here now in 2023❤
This song is a prime example of the excellence of Black love!
The Afro from the 70's❤️
I'm 62 and I have been an O'Jays fans since the beginning. They have some monster hits: 'For the Love of Money', 'Love Train', 'Family Reunion', 'Put Your Hands Together', 'Back Stabbers' and many, many more. But this ballad is- by far- my favorite! This ain't just music...these are the real rhythms of our lives❤
What happened to real music we grew up with...this music just reaches down and touch the SOUL! Today's music doesn't even come close to this.

If this doesn't do it for you I don't know what will
How can anyone say they don't like this. This is first class singing the best men's group in my opinion in music history.
This song brings back beautiful childhood memories. My mother was at her house party and I'm in a room with a bunch of other kids, I could hear this song playing through the door....priceless.

This is still the jam, best group ever
This is one of those songs when you are sitting in the car listening to the radio. Then you turn your phone to KZread an this song comes up. Needless to say that the radio goes off so you can enjoy this masterpiece here. If any relationship that is going south this a blueprint. Big up to Eddie and Walter these guys could of went solo an done well but they stayed an aren't we blessed for them doing so. How good was Gamble and Huff. They don't get the credit they deserve. Most underrated songwriter of our times. They were just as good as Motown. Least but not last my man Don Cornelius for making it cool for us to say look at what we got.
