Not because of this movie but I've been a hopeless romantic since I was a teenager. Always thought I'd meet somebody and fall in love and have the fairy tale stuff. Well I'm 36 and never married. Needless to say that doesn't happen for everyone🥺.

I love those single notes, as they are so subtle, gentle, and yet, so full of nostalgia. It's like the music is representing those "what ifs" hidden behind their eyes. LOVE IT

I feel like I had a love like Allie’s and Noah’s in my teens and again in my early 20s. It was with the same guy. He and I first met in middle school as friends in PE class. Then later on in high school, when I was a junior and him a sophomore, he and I ended up having the same lunch period, so eventually I started having lunch with him again, and then after a little while he started giving signs he liked me. It started off with him giving me compliments on my appearance, and being super flirty with me each time we hung out either at lunch or before school. I’d go to hang out with him before school eventually too. I realized I began to like him too. Then one day during lunch it was just him and I at lunch one day, and he then told me his feelings. Then I moved over to sit closer to him, and that’s when we had our first kiss. In hs, he and I only lasted about a month and a half. The breakup ruined our friendship. Then four years later, in late September of 2010, I friended him on fb, and he accepted me. We then exchanged messages back and forth. Then later on I called him on his cell (another mutual acquaintance of ours pressured me) as I still remembered it, and he picked up, and at first I was hinting to him who I was but he didn’t get it. Then I told him. He was very happy to hear from me. We only talked for a few mins. Later that night, we texted and caught up some more and I called him again. We just told each other what we looked like currently (I pretty much still look the same as I did in high school and jr high basically). He stopped wearing glasses at the time and changed to contacts. He also asked me if I had any other bf’s since him. I said not really. Well actually I was in one relationship a year prior to reconnecting with him that was long distance which lasted only a few months. He then asked me via text if I wanted to meet up too and I agreed, and he also apologized to me for hurting me in hs too, which was very nice of him. He also complimented me saying I have a pretty voice too. Then the day after thanksgiving, he and I met up and hung out for a little bit for the first time since hs. I remember that day being a bit nervous 😬 But not nearly as bad as the meet up we’d have 7 months later.

They do exist.. Except alot of people ruin their own happiness for petty fake scenarios they make up in their head.. And they ruin the relationship before it even gets good.. This was our conversation almost word for word. I had to go and see him. The boat ride was at Canoe Lake, Portsmouth. Our story did not have a happy ending. I ended up married to the wrong man. Still we managed to have amazing children. Sometimes you can perhaps just love each other too much to see sense.

I want a trust worthy and honest friends and not those pursuing selfish interests.
