Located north of the Arctic Circle, the Lofoten archipelago is known for its rugged beauty. Artists have long drawn inspiration from these islands, which even makes appearances in the work of Jules Verne. Set against a backdrop of stark mountains and rugged coastline, the colored cabins are as iconic as the dried fish that for so long underpinned the island’s economy.
Dead cod, a dangerous whirlpool, jagged mountains and a fierce weather may not amount to a tempting proposition, but look more closely and the Lofotens really do seem to offer a little corner of heaven on earth.
Connect with the true forces of nature kiteboarding in the Lofoten Islands with Reno Romeu, Hannah Whiteley and photographer Toby Browmich in this new kite movie by Noe Font.

This is one of the most awesome kiteboarding videos I ever saw, because it not only shows how awesome kiteboarding is, but also shows how awesome the place is where it was invented: planet earth. Let's just never forget that there is so much more than just kiteboarding on the blue marvel! As someone who has been to the Lofoten a couple of times I can proof that this place is actually als exaggerated as the movie suggests. If you get the chance to visit: visit. With or without your kite gear. Apart from that: props to the camera, editing and production team. You guys nailed it! Bog respect. (Also of course to the skills of the riders!)

theres a cave in Tibas, the virilla river is a vertical lake crack with huge pressure to produce dry Ice, just below from where the PICTURE is. The ticket to enter in the place cost the same as the full Duotone gear. The legend says nazis from Norway used tibas as a place to create wet explosives ...

Yea, I like longer videos about kitesurfing but it’s not necessary to fly riders to remote areas and after we have to pay 3000€ for a kite to support this. I like normal people enjoy the sport. No need double kite loop and risky tricks also.
Not easy being a kitesurf pro sometimes🤣

@@RenoRomeuKite Loved the video, so many amazing shots and great storytelling! I'm pretty drysuit biased after a lot of years kiting and sailing in the cold, but maybe try a semi-drysuit with neoprene seals if you hate the feel of rubber gaskets. I can't imagine getting in and out of a wetsuit in the snow when I could be warm, dry and have better mobility.

Trick of the trade: Thermos of HOT water. Pour over booties and gloves every half hour or so and you can extend your sessions greatly. :)

What I hate about Duotone is that it's all about the image! They will do a new bling bling partnership with Porsche, and 2 weeks after they'll release a nice greenwashing documentary in Norway 🤣 I'll never EVER buy Duotone!

It's true, they ware a lot, maybe too much, about the image. However this was not greenwashing at all, they were driving around with 2-3 cars all day long. It really was all about showing the landscapes of Norway.

Yes, duotone is the only kite brand that does this kind of promo films hahaha. Not like all other brands have vids of kiting in beautiful tropical spots or something. Is that "greenwashing" too, dipshit?
