Ойын-сауық

This movie was pretty epic. It's such a straightforward story, easy to relate to and yet original in the way it's presented. No overdone, over the top CGI and no crazy twist. It's pretty good and made me feel what they felt. Great actors, great cinematography!

This film was incredible to watch on the big screen! It reminded me of Apocalypto by Mel Gibson.

I thought I was the only one that felt similarly. It's like the Viking version, although I feel like this movie is closer in historical accuracy than Apocalypto

Another Hamlet story that actually warps the concept and makes the audience question which side is actually in the right. I used the term "right" very Loosely considering both factions are beyond morally reprehensible

How was Amleth “beyond morally reprehensible”..?
@_jvyden_5156

On the basis that Amlet's mother may or may not be "right" about his father being a slave trader I'd assume

Perhaps Shakespeare's Hamlet warped the original concept by making Hamlet more sympathetic and the uncle a more clear-cut villain? ;-)
@madambutterfly1997

@@kscorp5176 I mean the mother wanting her own child dead that's objectively villainous.
Eggers is amazing in worldbuilding and setting the scene. In all of his movies its feels like your there and can actually sense the dread/uneasiness or brutality.

Thank you Niyat! This movie was simple but great! I unintentionally had the theatre laughing when we saw the mom get her just deserts along with the step bro😆
This team can just keep making weird, creepy, maybe horror? historical flicks for the rest of time as much as I care. They're REALLY good at it.
I see this director going a lot of places, hopefully he maintains creative control and doesn't get screwed over
4:34 that is not the apirit of his father, that is Odin All Father anyone who knows even a little about norse mythology knows that Odin is always described as a hooded grey beard when he visits the realms and has two ravens perched on his shoulders, Hugin(thought) and Munin(Memory) This movie has a near exact recreation of Sir E. Burne Jones drawings depicting the Norse god

One thing that stood out was how tall Alexander Skarsgård is. He looked enormous on screen!
I absolutely love this film that I had to watch it twice in theaters.🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The soundtracks are quite invigorating and fits will into the scenario. The action sequences are epic. Alexander Skarsgärd and Anya Taylor-Joy’s performances and chemistry is outstandingly memorable. For Valhǫll!🖤🦅🐺💀 Well done with this video, Niyat.

Great video! It's amazing how Eggers style has improved so far and I look forward to more of his films.
This film was fantastic. Brutal and beautiful, the locations are spectacular. 10/10
This is quite the Viking epic you don't see anymore. It reminds me of CONAN The Barbarian meets BRAVEHEART.
I happened to stop at a theater in Kentucky one night and decided to see this. Went in thinking it'd put me to sleep I was shocked how graphic it was with the ritualistic like killings.

Just finished this movie and man it was great, love these films with fantasy and realistic history. Very well done.

Hi! Love your videos! Could by chance make a video based on Treasure Planet in the future? :D
Such an awesome movie. I haven't seen a beautiful movie like this since 2015's Hamlet with Michael Fassbender.
Ah yes, the super buff body that comes from constant exposure to the elements, disease, famine, and extreme stress that comes from living in a pre modern medicine world.
A great movie that unfortunately unperformed in the box office
Im so surprised, because I was literally upset after seeing this in theaters lol. This movie disappointed me more than any other in years, and im usually pretty open/receptive to all movies, especially a “Viking” movie.

Was expecting him to dance to techno down a street
When he was captured, it wasn't the spirit of his father, but instead the high one himself (Odinn) rescues amleth.
Crazy movie I saw it
This movie is top notch IMO up there with braveheart & gladiator
Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right: The Movie. That is what the alternate title for The Northman should be
This movie is top fucking tier
My favorite movie, by far. First movie I've actually bothered to go watch in 5 years.
I was so confused watching this nothing made sense to me. I didnt know who to route for who was the villain nor victim?!
I fucking loved this movie 🎬 never disappointed with Rob Egger's. Looking forward to the next project. Hope there's an alternate ending for this, or I can imagine it
It is so insane how big and fucking jacked Alexander Skarsgard can get when he used to look like melted ice cream in his apartment. Now that I'm thinking about it he was always naturally big. I just forgot how big he was in Tarzan.
Dint get a chance to watch it but looks killer and seems like no forgot to put the name for the movie in the last video the horror movies is called THE SADNESS AMD ITS a very graphics movie it's based on the series CROSSED you should do an explanation and a explanation on the disease
Please cover a Writer's odyssey
@filmcomicsexplained he was not a Berserker who are lone bear warriors but a Ulfhednar a pack wolf warrior.
The sword could only be drawn at night
Such a shame that this film tanked at the box office and received no Oscar nominations because the Northman is one of the best films of 2022. I could totally see it gaining a cult following and I can't wait to see what Robert Eggers does next

Gunnr means battle. That's where the word "Gun" comes from I'm assuming. Pretty sick.
It's called THE SADNESS
Starring Eric Northman as himself.
2.5 hours of my life that I can’t get back. I wish someone before hand would have told me that the ending was the same result as the latest Bond flick so I could have avoided this snooze fest…
Love the concept and beautiful representation. Maybe instead of every time someone makes a story with their interpretation of a classic (both Shakespeare of this tradition) people scream "cultural appropriation"; we can respect both the source and the remiamaging. Just an old man's thoughts.
