The No Fap Trend - Does It Really Boost Testosterone?

The Internet gives us a birdseye view of current trends and one I have seen recently is the "No Fap" trend among young males. I have heard men espousing no fap for better gym gains or as a way to boost testosterone levels. So is there any truth in this. Should guys be abstaining from all sexual activity in order to get the best muscle growth in the gym? I discuss the whole issue and also address how pornography may be having a seriously detrimental effect on young males and how it may impact their future relationships..

Porn is cuckery. You're watching another man do it with a woman who you'd want to do yourself. People don't realise what changes in their brain are happening because of this. I used to watch so much of that sewage. I stopped for maybe 2-3 years now, and when I see it, I find it kind of silly now, even repulsive, especially the stuff they make these days... Use your imagination when wanking, and wank only when you have to, not when you need to. Anyway your body will get rid of it itself. I've had by far more wet dreams in my 30s than I had in my teens, BY FAR, no contest. Porn is a cruel mistress: so little pleasure for so much given away. Guys just don't understand what they're giving away...

My personal experience the whole nofap it’s only going to spike testosterone at around day 6 past that it won’t boost it any higher. That said you do need to fap or else it will gunk up your prostate which could lead to cancer. In any case, the whole testosterone thing is being overblown these days. Take it from me who for most standards has low testosterone (~397) it has never affected my ability to perform or to set my foot down when need be or raise my voice if need be and all the other things that a “high testosterone ultra macho alpha male” would do.

A lot of women have strong instincts and intuition and a mans vibe can sometimes be more important. Women are generally more empathic, emotionally aware and better at reading people's energies IMO because of their biology's birthing children. If a woman sensing a mans too into himself, self-centred, inauthentic and false, predatory, manipulative, narcissistic or just gives "off" vibes they are likely to be put off. Arrogance and entitlement can sometimes be observed just by looking at a person, even if you aren't consciously aware what you are observing. A good example of this would be Elliot Rodger( king of the incels)who was a very obvious narcissist. A lot of people have the same reaction to narcissists as they do to very human-like androids. This is called the uncanny valley hypothesis and it is the same reaction you often see to a narcissist; people aren't sure why they feel that way but something just feels "off".. This probably explains why even though he was good looking, smart, well-off and personable, Elliot Rodger could not get a girlfriend. This is the "alien" aspect of the narcissist and we see it over and over again; people can see that something is not right. They are sensing that the narcissist is a fraud and not a real human being at all. Others often cannot articulate what it is they don't like about the narcissist - who usually seems to be the picture of friendliness and sincerity - they just know they don't like it. Narcissist are not truly people in the strict sense of the word. They have no identities or true selves, and are just mimics and chameleons imitating others.

@@janx8695 A lengthy but very interesting comment 🙂 I agree with most of it. I'll say this though, In my lifetime I've seen women more so than not, fail to be this good judge of character that you mention. I've mainly seen women go for the men they want, but not the men they actually need. They yearn for the danger, excitement and unpredictability in a hot looking dude, but when such qualities translate to beatings, anxiety and cheating, they scream that ALL men are b*st*rds when they actively avoid or dump the good natured, trustworthy and reliable men because they are too 'nice'. Of course a small number of women I've seen have tuned into this instinct. Feminism has done a number on our western society and both men and women have been damaged by it. I still take nothing away from your comment 👍🏽 and wish you well in all you do 🙏🏽

@@agileminded7949 Many women are like that for sure, but many women aren't also. Just like not all men are b*st*rds, not all women are shallow, superficial and into bad boys. If people work on themselves to become a more healthy whole person you are going to attract more like minded people that will want to stick around. If you are unhealthy ourselves then you are going to attract other unhealthy people. There are still many decent, compassionate people out there. It's just a question of creating a life where you are comfortable and healthy enough to see them. When you practice good self-care, own your mistakes and accept yourself for who you are, you are taking control of your life. You are living more intentionally and acting upon the world, rather than waiting for it to act upon you. There's no better way to bring good things into your life. Happiness is a choice and it's up to us how we want to view things and to break negative thinking patterns. The type of women who commit fully are the type who also need a man to do the same. All the superficial stuff come second to most high value women because they are looking for commitment and safety in a relationship. The so called chad "alpha male" types on you tube are mostly psychopathic and narcissistic men and they attract the same types of females with the same qualities that value superficial things. They tend to have cognitive distortions, splitting defenses and an overall immature, dichotomous view of the world and seem to be projecting their own negativistic view onto all women. You can either look at the situation in all or nothing view, or see the world as it is which is not black or white. No one is all good or all bad, we are all fallible human beings and no two people are exactly the same. Yes there's not very nice women just as there is not very nice men, but that doesn't mean it applies to everyone. Because these people don't value things like being kind, caring, giving, compassionate, empathic, supportive and fair, these things are generally missing in these relationships and they just become shallow, superficial and purely transactional relationships and less happy and fulfilling. In order to have a good relationship the superficial stuff really doesn't matter in the long run.

I do blood panel tests twice a year and have done for a while so I know where my testosterone levels usually are. In 10 days I’ll be doing a test and by this point I’ll have not ejaculated for 1 month so if it’s of any interest to anyone I can report back here with my results. I have done the basic research and I can say I did feel slightly more focused and energised between week 1 and 2 which is in line with the available research and findings so I’ll be doing another test in the future around where I think my peak is. I will utilise this peak in the gym for body building and schedule when I ejaculate or do a big workout. I also have a huge interest in the movement of lower to upper chakra and the effect on the auric field, apparently this will be very obvious to yourself and others but I’m not sure about any of that. I’m researching all areas of semen retention and hope to conclusively identify all the benefits with supporting evidence but it’s going to take a number of months since I don’t plan to ejaculate for at least 3 months which is when I’ll do my second blood test at the end of the retention period, followed by another test a day after ejaculation and another test where I suspect my peak is which I’d have said is day 8 of retention.

That will be very interesting. I can see a few days possibly having a slight benefit. It makes sense in terms of evolution. Test levels increase slightly driving the urge to pro-create, that makes sense. After that I believe it will start to drop away. Otherwise the world would be full of muscular, angry, highly motivated young males. Which it clearly isn't. I cannot see the evolutionary advantage of continuously ramping up hormone output and drive if sex cannot be achieved over lengthy periods.

I have an interesting theory that the real addiction is ADHD medications because many of the people they portray as being addicted to prawn are these “introverts with cells”that are most likely heavily medicated since an early age and those medications will severely alter and mess with the brain’s neuroplasticity

I dont think you fully explored the topic, and your advice can be harmful. The reason most people recommend the no fap thing is not for physical advantage, but rather psychological. I'll explain in my words: Our western society is experiencing a sort of epidemic of men not wanting sex with women, because of porn. With porn, a man psychologically indulges himself with hundreds of women every day. This leads many men becoming addicted to porn, and his fantasy females, and not wanting sex with real females. Its more and more common nowadays for the husband, not the wife, to avoid real sex. And even when sex occurs, its hard for these men to get it up to a normal, non fantasy woman. A teenager fapping is one thing, but when a man does it for dozens of years, fapping becomes a deep habit.. He can have extremely attractive women available to him, but he would still often prefer the fap over the real sex. Not having real sex, and not being able to, leads many men a bit insecure and unconfident. Additionally, being able to satisfy yourself with hundreds of women, at any time in the fantasy world, can make men passive. When a man does not fap or have sex for some time, he becomes more anxious, more aggressive, and wants to have sex more and more. This leads a man to conquer women. To take em on a date, flirt with them, etc. He becomes more proactive. But when a man is used to satisfying his sexual desires with his hand, he becomes passive. He doesnt want to find women as much, he doesnt want to do his wife, and he doesnt want to improve himself. I think thats why many, especially psychologists, recommend the no fap thing. Obviously fap is ok I think as long as it doesnt become a habit, as long as it doesnt become more enjoyable than sex, and I think thats what many middle age guys and older suffer from
