Exactly--the first part of the Quran is all puppies and rainbows when Mohammad was trying to gain followers the old fashioned way. After he got run out of Mecca, his true colors, that of the Arab caravan raider and slaver, came out and the Quran got a lot bloodier. By Muslims' own admission, these later verses take precedence over the earlier ones.

Hassan Ahmed But he forced all of them to convert to Islam. That was his main point - to covert everyone to Islam. All fights were to this end which he achieved , so there was no need to kill everyone. However he did not spare some selected people who had criticised his teachings.

Actually this is a pattern in Islam set by Prophet Muhammad. When you are weak and in minority then apply earlier revealed peaceful verses like there is no compulsion in religion but when you are strong and in majority then go for the kill by applying later violent verses. This pattern has never changed since the 7th century.

I grew up in a Muslim missionary home in the Middle East and my youngest brother who grew up in the States is arguing with me about what I was taught in my Islamic studies back home. He refuses to believe that Islam teaches hate. The American Muslims are not true Muslims and my youngest brother is the perfect example. I feel bad for him because he’s lost between two worlds. He’s really struggling with his identity. He’s abandoned Islam but because our parents are still Muslim, he doesn’t want to accept that they practice a hateful religion. It’s so sad.

Allah is another word for the English capital-g "God". Arab Christians also call him that. Abrahamic religions are derived from violent ideologies. Look at the Book of Joshua and Judges and the Quran.

This reminds me of yesterday: preacher said, "There's no compulsion in Islam," three minutes of further elucidation of the topic proceed, and he got off-topic because of a series of deliberately asked questions by one of my friends and I (we're both ex-muslims) and preached about the 'history and greatness' of Islam and how we, as Muslims (I recall closing my eyes and smiling after he said that), have to be proud of our religion and how it spread and I quote, "They have worked so hard to eliminate the filth of the pagans and non-believers, and they spread the religion to all parts of Mecca. Allah, with all his greatness and forgiveness (ha! I could barely hold in my laugh at that point), gave the pagans a chance to convert to Islam despite their persistence, but they didn't go along and so he ordered to kill them. Oh! How wise. (Ironic)." Another case when he was explaining how Abu Baker (Mohammed's best homie) dealt with all the people who left Islam after the death of the prophet by killing them if they didn't reconvert. Very contradictory if you ask me. I wonder if Mohammed perhaps had a change of heart after he gained power. Nah, that can't be it

Can you just clear the misconception in muslim minds that predictions about arrival of a prophet(prophet after jesus) mentioned in holy books isn't about Mohammad because my muslim friends and known ones always say this whenever I talk to them about the corruption in Islam and Mohammad. They give false references so just to prove that any such predictions were for Mohammad,just make a video so that many more like me can prove them wrong and bring them back on track. And the god of all three isn't worth fearing or worshipping. The prophets of that little volcano god would be condemned as war criminals by today's less primitive peoples. All revelations were just convenient for the 'prophets', or the priesthood to gain and maintain their power over those they ruled. All knowing, yet couldn't forsee anything. And if so, then couldn't have.free will as his future is set. And all loving or merciful yet just? I have heard of people converting and being killed anyway.

"No compulsion" and "you have your religion and I have mine" .. both basically mean "mind your own business" or "take a hike" Muhammad was massively out numbered in "Mecca" and was practising a little : "do not be friends with unbelievers unless it is to guard yourself against them" The verse has ZERO spiritual value And we see Muhammad's true colours after the migration to Medina and this is the context in which we should see these shitty verses

"No compulsion" applied to Jews whose mothers made a pact with YHWH to raise them Jewish in exchange for them surviving childhood. Muhammad invented the verse to nullify their commitment to YHWH so they could be expected to accept Islam. Take a look at Ibn Kathir tafsir for 2:256.

Not entirely. 9:5 was revealed during a time of uncertainty about relations between Muslims and polytheists, but it doesn't even make a difference. All Islamic scholars agreed that it is a general statement. 9:29 wasn't in reference to a specific battle at all, but it appeared when a possible battle with Christians was talked about. Again, the verse is a clear and general order, so it would be irrelevant even if it had been "revealed" during war time.

The word 'Mafia' is of Arabic origin.

"There is no compulsion in religion", is islam dictating to others. But that is not what is meant. It means, “you don't ask a slave to work”. If lesser people look like they are not serving the Umah (mzlm men and only mzlm men) willingly, giving Jizya with a smile, etc. then they get one of allah’s curses (exile, mutilation and death). A fundamental principle to izlm is not found in written form. To get a full understanding you have to look at how they behave (rape, pillage, parasitism). Listening to them incessantly cite the quran and hadiths is a massive red herring. The real 3 pillars of izlm are, quran, hadiths and silence (see wiki for Kitman and taqqia doctrine).

Thank you, Apostate Prophet, for yet another strong episode. You know, there is a way that "There is no compulsion in religion" is true regardless of whether Islam or any other religion uses force to make people conform to religious law and practice, and that is in the realm of spiritual *belief*. To be truly religious is to truly believe. You can't force that. You can force outward conformity, but if a person is going through the motions but inwardly cursing the religion and the bastards who are forcing him into a fake way (for him) of life just to survive, you can't say that he's a believer. You can't force a mind, hence you can't compel religion - not genuine religious belief. Clearly neither Muhammad nor those Muslims who carried on after him had a problem with forcing conformity to Islamic rule, and they had to know that many would eventually convert in order to escape the extra burdens of the dhimmi system or, in the case of non-People of the Book, to avoid death. In that sense there is definitely compulsion in Islam because those kinds of conversions happen not out of real belief but out of a desire to keep alive or because a dhimmi can no longer bear the harsh rules of survival under Islamic rule. But those conversions can never be true conversions in the spiritual sense. Could it be that "There is no compulsion in religion" was meant as an *observation* of the nature of belief, as above, rather than as a directive?

Seems Western European Governments chose #2 and accepted dhimmi status on behalf of their people and pay the jizyah in the form of welfare benefits, free access to their daughters and preferential treatment under the law.

Yes, right up until the Jews liberated Israel from Islamic rule, non-believers had to pay the jizyah and suffer under Jim Crowe style oppression. Brigitte Gabriel has an excellent lecture on this topic. Look for her lecture titled: "1400 years of Islamic history in 5 minutes".

In northern Nigeria where I grew up, there were repeated pogroms against Christians and Animists. Hundreds were killed for not converting to Islam. Those doing the killings were often so-called friendly neighbours. This had been the case long before Boko Haram appeared on the scene. I pity the liberal but blind West.

Don't miss the word he uses - "abrogated". The doctrine of abrogation, in the Quran, is the idea that newer verses override older scriptures.

Your series of videos needs to have translations in all the important languages, including Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, Bengali, Malay, Turkish, etc.

There's no jiz, like jizyah! The English slang term comes from the jizyah ( to deliver the "load"). The Jew got the yellow star and the dhimmi got the blue belt, after they paid jizyah. Arar Akhbar!
