Honestly thought that was mikey lol, why is he’s mask so light. Also he didn’t even use the *Sai* for “real” lol. *Real Sai* are *not sharp* , nor are they *offensive* stabbing weapons. They are *blunt* weapons that are meant for *defensive* maneuvers like *blocking sword, nunchaku, bo staffs, Tonfa, etc.* Nobody that *grew up training* with a pair of *Sai* , *since birth (Mutation)* is gonna use them *like a knife* , especially not somebody that was *trained* by someone as *experienced* and *skilled* as *Master Splinter*

I don't remember if I ever thought that specifically. I think I just assumed that, being heroes, they wanted to take the villains into custody or something instead of killing them. However, I do distinctly remember how I always felt like Leo and Raph were handicapped to only being able to use their weapons properly while fighting foot soldiers and other robotic enemies, whereas Donny and Mikey were never restricted in that same way.

1987 turtles were the only goofballs. 2003 and 2012 kill when necessary. 2007 shredder was shredded. 2012 were out for blood and stayed true to the comics multiple times after what Shredder did. When they had those white eyes you knew they were going beast mode

I bet the last guy they killed before they got arrested was not a robber, but maybe the owner who left his wallet or phone behind at the store and went back to go get it, but the turtles assumed he was a criminal and kills him which explains why they got arrested.

Well considering what Bebop and Rock Steady do to Donnie in the IDW comics...I think his reaction is pretty reasonable 😅

When it comes to TV shows they only use their weapons like actual weapons when they are fighting robots or if the creature doesn’t have red blood, or if they don’t show blood in general and work around the censors basically like in Samurai Jack (not counting the fifth season).

That's even sort of addressed in one of the earliest episodes (I think it was episode 2 or 3) of the '87 cartoon, in which they're struggling to fight off the foot soldiers. Then they realize that the foot soldiers are robots, and with that realization they turn the tide by no longer feeling like they need to hold back.

I liked this TMNT video as I’m a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan, however the ending was a little rough when the judge said death by lethal injection. Just imagine how disappointed Master Splinter and all the turtles friends would be during their execution, without hero’s saving the city the whole world would be chaos.

You know in the comic they did use their wepons to kill em....i would like to see a Raited 18 web comic of tmnt...their hasnt been a good movie were they the tmnt kill shredder.

When the *Mirage Essence* awakens within the 87 Turtles:

Donnie and Mikey get a pass for using their weapons because their weapons are designed to knock someone out, whereas Leo and Raph need to be careful when using their weapons because...well, their weapons are designed to kill.

Although technically, from what I recall having heard before, sais are built more for defense than offense. Designed to prioritize disarming your opponent. Of course, the killing would come after that.
