One of my favourite SNES titles, didn't know there was a physical version. Will be picking that up for sure!

I just found out this game came on steam in july 2023. It is now Jan 1st 2024. The joy in my heart cant be explained honestly playing this game on a steam deck / PC

A friend of mine bought this and suggested to me that we played it couch co-op. I never heard of this game before but I’m glad he pointed it out to me. Bought the physical version straight away, I love it. One of my favorite Switch games.

This has been on my eShop wish list since it dropped. Now that it's 50% off I think I'll make a move... AND bought 👍

Same, not bit yet though (same with Huntdown)... Is it worth it for a one time play through as I’m presuming there’s not much to keep coming back to other than a pretty looking remake.

Finally bought mine this week after waiting 2 years for a sale. I had missed some in the past but luckily checked it and a fangasmed when I saw it was half off. I can't put the game down. They brought the nostalgia I had as a kid and surpassed it even further.

I'm considering purchasing the physical copy. I grew up in the 90s and loved these types of games. So many coins wasted in arcade game rooms.

Bought it some weeks ago in the Japanese eShop and it's worth every Yen. Short, but a lot of fun for a 2 Player Coop Buddy night! BTW great review. I like your pragmatic style, it's like watching Switch Watch at the very beginning.

This one of my favorite games out at the moment. The art, sound effect, music and etc. Plus its got the old school beat the game to unlock items concept. Amazing beat em up to play with a friend.

This looks like so much fun. Been on my list for ages and it’s only $11.99 CAD. Going to grab this finally!

I just got it half price from the eshop, it's is a good remake they haven't tampered with it much only made it sound and look even better, that's they way I like things done.❤️

Just bought it along with Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja and Two Crude games. Always sucker for any 90s video game, especially Data East ones!

I don't care for fighter/brawlers but your reviews are very well done and interesting, thank you!

Grest review switch watch great. Never played this game before I downloaded it for free on my psvita for the SNES. I'm going to play it for a bit see how it is and then I'll order the switch physical version. Gotta have that manual and cart. Peace.

I just pre-ordered mine from Amazon for $30. Not a bad price and I love beat em ups like these.

Great review. I got this for the switch and I found it absolutely brutal, which as kind of put me off it. Do you think I should keep persevering with it?

I’m currently deciding between getting The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors or the Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection for Switch first. The former looks great for co-op with my brother, but the latter seems to give more bang for my buck, and both look very fun. Do you recommend one over the other?

Did they added a second player to this version??!

Nice one on putting this review out. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little mad you guys passed on reviewing Blazing Chrome as I feel these retro throwbacks need all the exposure they can get. But you made up for it on this one. Anything that harkens back to that golden age of 2d gaming both at home and in the arcades is a big win in my book.

@@SwitchWatch Nah it's all good mate, remember you guys saying something about it came out at an awkward time and it just wasn't feasible. I only brought it up because I can tell you guys are into the classic genres. It's all good though, you guys are doing a stellar job and I appreciate all the content you do put out. 🙂👍🏻

Are You sure that physical version has manual ? I watch Unboxing Asia version and it has only reversible cover... EU version will be diffrent ?

I didn't get if the blood in game is green or red, or if you can unlock it. Anyway, great game, and in this version it looks even more terrific!

The American release got delayed but the American release has a poster, stickers, and manual for the same price as the Asian version (Asian version doesn't have the goodies!) and if you pre-order a key chain. So I'm just waiting patiently for my American copy, it's hard

This is an interesting remake. The graphics are better than the snes and arcade version. But still feels like the snes version. It's like what you think it looks like rather than what it actually did. Would I prefer handdrawn art instead of pixel art? Yeah, but this still looks great

Took me forever to find a NEW copy of Ninja Saviors: Return of Warriors in the West!

it's in my top 5 snes games. this looks like a good upgrade, but i'll stick with the original version. i wish they would have made this more of a sequal that looks a lot like the snes game, than just an updated remake. same for wild guns remake, i wish it would have been new levels the whole time. that would have made me buy both. still cool though, and i know they're meant to be remakes

Is it released in America? I can't find it on the american e shop (both us an mexico) it looks awesome by the way

30 bucks for a great retro games with extras is not expensive, what kind of job you do? If you can't afford a 30 dollar game you're doing something wrong with your job. Change professions

How one does not like pixelated art is beyond me... it’s like the Mona Lisa, sure it’s not everyone’s cup of tea nor mine for that matter but it’s a gorgeous work of art and you can’t deny it.

More than half of gaming's history was pixelated, so what's not to appreciate? It was gratifying to look at then and will be always.

This game ist tough. I read that it is a bit easy, but where? I died 3 times already at the first Stage boss.

They probably from the original 1987 game. I remember DragonForce has lots of video game influences in their music.

I downloaded this game last night... I love beat 'em ups & ninjas... let me just say that this game looks amazing, the character designs are pretty bad@$$. The movesets, I think is pretty barebones but the characters are very distinct and have their own unique identity and playstyle. Now... the difficulty... WHO HURT YOU TAITO?!?! WHO HURT YOU?!?! 🥺 Edit: I did finally beat this game, it seems like a "basic" game at first but it really requires that you learn the different enemies, learn the characters, & find your playstyle. I found Ninja to be the easiest player to clear levels with but I found myself playing Kunoichi the most, she's definitely not as strong as Ninja but she's so technical I was easily clearing whole groups of enemies with directional throws. I may be wrong here but in options when I changed blood effect from green to red it seemed to change the difficulty in story mode a bit( ? ) seemed like enemies attacked more and boss life bars depleted slower... I dunno, either way it is just as good as people say, Yaksha unlocked, time to work on getting Raiden ^_^

They should give this same treatment to Bateman returns from super nes.

8 out of 10 isn't enough for this.. for what it's doing, it's actually pure perfection in every way.. controls, graphics, sound, gameplay.. I am inclined to give it a perfect score simply as it achieves exactly what it sets out to do.. but I've settle on a 9/10 over here.. I am thrilled to bits with it, already played it through with two of the characters, will now do it with the heavy guy. I enjoyed every single second, learning every move.. just loved it. But yeah, all kidding aside, of course an 8/10 is a reasonable assessment.. I was just being cheeky.. I am actually glad you guys are not pompous twits and can appreciate a pure arcade action game like this. :)

Same here, to me it's almost perfect, they reanimated and remated everything, it's made to look like the Snes title but if you explore the character sprites and backgrounds you'll notice that everything its made from scratch.

A review is always going to show parts of the game you may not want to see we try to be as spoiler free as possible. Impossible to review a game without showing some of the footage Phil. That's going to happen in a trailer let alone a review.

One of the unlocked Ninjas is an even shorter pudgy Ninja? It looks like a middle aged mom. Turrible!

Not too impressive considering I was expecting more than a graphic upgrade from a 25 year old game. May a digital version at 5.99 will be worth it
