This is where collectors shine. I’ve randomly traded for or bought the nice border trainer gallery cards since release if it’s a good Pokémon with a trainer in the picture with them. Not some crazy multi copy buy outs, just one copy. But the trainer gallery binder pages sure are going crazy now 🚀

As someone who has the Umbreon GX, Espeon GX, Mewtwo & Mew GX and Blastoise GX rainbows in PSA 10 I’m hoping too. Popualtions are well under 1k (think blastoise is around 500) that if they do pop there is nowhere near the supply of sword and shield alt arts. But unlike alt arts many people don’t like the rainbows

@@7yourdesires86 I think its just 'burn out' from the over use of rainbow (traniers,energys, and pretty much every secret rare lol ect) during sword and shield. However, during sun and moon, rainbows were the main "chase cards" of the time and the rarest and most sort after cards in most sets. I believe the in grand scale of the Pokemon TCG, the uniqueness, rareity and nostalgia of the rainbow chase will draw collectors back to the sun and moon era....perhaps even more than the "alt arts", which...lets face it, have become the new "standard art". Now being used acoss three generations, and probably well into the future. Maybe too much to say thier the next "gold stars", but I think GX rainbows do fit all of the criteria to eventually be classified amongst the crystal, shinning, and gold stars rareitys.

since scarlet and violet released i started looking at like 1 to 5 cards max out each set that i want so far.

1. Better early to SV than late to SWSH! 2. "Pokémon picks winners and losers when it makes sets!" 3. "Pokémon made it a weak set!" 4. Alex, you literally blew my mind with this analysis... I'd never considered set construction and invest-ability in this way. 5. Any theory as to WHY Pokémon would make sets so different?

I'm leaning more towards 151 but I'm biased. Really want to build a psa 10 modern base set with the ir, hope they do more.

I love this video brother. Idk if you remember I had asked you last year about v and vmax tg’s of the popular characters and no one really said much about it. In fact all of my local groups and friends laughed at me saying I was stupid for picking up 5 copies of each Umbreon’s, pika’s, and Rayquaza. I also picked up a few mimikyu’s v and vmax and a few Sylveons. I guess what I’m getting at is you were one of the bigger inspirations for that play even though you never directly said that play. You would always harp on popular characters and cool cards. Then you mix that the tg’s were the box hits for Vmax climax. Tag teams were blowing up simply for the reason it was different 2 pokemon in one card. Well the tg’s has the mon and the trainer. So many things made sense for that play. My only concern now is that by time I get them back from PSA I could be playing race to the bottom. However even picking up most of the umbys and pikas on their lows I should still yield a decent come up.

It's not the only factor to look at but it could be helpful. I think those are 2 good sets out of what we have so far for sure.

Picked up 2 of those umbreon vmax TG last year. One for $5 and one for $13. $18 all in for 2 I’m feeling great about it

Here's a question for you Alex. I'm in the UK and FS,BS & AS are still available in the Pokecenter. Would you buy these as a priority until they sell out at MSRP or would you invest in SV at lower prices for the eventual jump in price at a lower risk knowing that reprints could come at any time? ALEX appreciate all the information and the entertainment. On your upcoming video with sauce would you ask the sauce about what happened to him being silenced on a pokemon facebook group? He attacked a seller on thier post with set prices and went well out of his way to comment to each seller to the buyer paying more for cards than bulk value and lost his mind. Ask if he would do the same to Dan Ketchum, if you would like. The moderators even had to apologize fpr his behavior and said he won't be doing that again. It's ironic because he pays less and built his bussiness on it. Sorry to rant but this dude is a joke, popular yes and knowledgeable but a child. Please let him know even people in the same groups who love the hobby won't forget his actions. I wonder how he will react . go do your research sirs are not more rare than trainer galleries some sirs are some aren't its completely card dependent example iono sir isn't a harder pull than rayquaza vmax tg) the reason why lost origin trainer gallery is the best is because only pikachu vmax tg doesn't have a counterpart vmax alt while rayquaza vmax tg does blaziken vmax tg does umbreon and sylveon vmax tg do need I go on?

lol, reading the comments below, so from cheer leading prices tanking, to FOMO saying “artificial hype”. I kept buying the dip on alt arts and have over 300+ PSA 10 from SWSH. Fun fact I’ll be on record saying minus evolving skies Scarlet and Violet will probably be just as good an era as SWSH. I remember when all these SWSH Sets came out to people being hyper critical. Actually go through S & V, it’s the same quantity of set, bit more attainable chase cards with all the garbage rainbow Rares removed. 151 will be a banger for years to come. Good Warren Buffet quote “markets are a mechanism to transfer money from the impatient to the patient”. Welcome to 2024 and a pivot from the excessive pessimism of 22/23.
