Alex, an interesting point with SV vs SWSH is how in the later we have vmax cards that the alt arts of are completely full art vs in SV there have been no actual full art alt arts because the highest sar rarity is ex. Looking forward to the next set that has complete full arts. This is from looking at it more on the art side of Pokemon.

Facts. Very useful information as always brother

Not disagreeing with anything said just providing context from the existing pull rate guides out there. This, as mentioned, is true for particular alt arts but varies wildly by set. VMax AAs from SwSh were 1/7 boxes. On average, less than 1 per Case. For example, evolving skies has a specific VMax pull rate of 1/1900 packs or roughly 1/52 booster boxes. I know you go over this in your video but a point that is often forgotten is vmax alternate art pull rate vs v alternate art pull rate.

Ya I agree and you're right. I did mention sets like chilling, fusion and evolving still have cards with harder pull rates but I could have made it more clear I'm sure. Appreciate the feedback

Just because they’re rarer doesn’t mean they’re better. No card in S & V gets anywhere near the top 10 alt arts from S & S. That could change but as a long term investment it’s nonsense to suggest it’s close between what’s come from S & V so far

True, but SV sets haven't had time to mature. A lot of the AA from SWSH were pretty affordable when they first came out. Exceptions of course for Umbreon, Gengar etc. Granted the Pokemon in SV don't have as much of following. But they still are popular pokemon and the art is incredible!

Hope you can add statistics on excel or something for your next videos!

I never really took part in the sword and shield sets. It’s crazy to think that Scarlet and Violet is measuring up to some of these older sword and shield set as far as SIR rarity.

No one wants to talk about it Scarlett and Violet is better than sword and shield. Look at the first 8 sword and shield sets and compare to now. Better pull rates more variety better looking cards.

Big agree - just wait til we see sets 7-12. With artworks this good, the TCG staying interesting and getting love, the new pokemon winning ppl over, and the pull rates only getting tougher? We’re in for a ride. Couldn’t be happier

Ok I’ve opened 11 booster boxes of temporal forces I just got back into Pokemon when this set came out and I have 3 booster boxes sealed left do I need to hold them sealed or can I open a few more and I’ll have plenty of time to buy more

If I had to guess, I would assume temporal should be affordable for a while and possibly get a reprint still since it's a newer set. So you should be able to find more at similar prices.

So for the early SV sets it's a little worse but for the newer ones like TF and TWM is seems to be about the same.

I've opened 700+ packs of Lost Origin and haven't pulled a single alt art!... 🙄😓 pulled at least 1 alt art from all other sets within 250 packs so I guess just abysmal luck for Lost Origin?🙄

It's a good question. I think becuad swsh base came out during the pandemic and never got a reprint so it's actually a really scarce box. If it was actually a good set we could see those boxes up there at evolving skies prices just becuase there are so much fewer out there.

Just watch when every sv set goes to 200 a box. I really dont think it takes long Yet these guys refused to buy cases with boxes under 80 bucks. Even 70 at times. Yes the deals were there I know bc i bought alot Yes I got swsh. But the only set thats blown away my sv 20-30 percent gains, is Fusion strike So tbh I still rhink u were better off buying 80 to sub 80 boxes of almost any Scarlet violet set. Maybe im crazy but sv just feels better in totality

Honestly I enjoy watching noobs make poor investment choices. Seen someone trying to sell off junk sets they invested in like vivid voltage. I could name more junk sets at the risk of triggering some people but hey honestly imo chilling reign and battle styles are basically junk sets too.
