Paldea Evolved is underrated. 151 was cool. OBF was great for Zard pull rates. Temporal, I did not dig in to but albeit the chase cards are cool af. Buying those up in Japanese language. The promos have been cool too. Outside of that, not as good as SwSh alt arts but not terrible except for a couple sets. But the Dragona/Pikachu set in Nov and Team Rocket early next year might just be the game changers SV era needs

Scarlet & Violet IRs are sooo good. Definitely slept on, imo for the most part I love all the IRs better than the SIRs

Most sirs have been so disappointing 170$ for Greninja ex? Seriously? It's good art but it's generic and has no story/context.

It honestly seems like anything Pokemon TCG is worth investing in cause always goes up in the long run, some sets quicker some sets slower, it’s like the stock market, buy low, sell high and never spend more than you can afford to lose :) love the content and the information mate :)

As long as pokemon keeps bringing new fans into the fold every year, it will continue to be a hot property. Pokemon has the potential to reach Disney levels of popularity and cultural significance.

I love the sv era. It’s managable because you feel good when you pull top chases (without having to open 1000 packs). I like when the pull rates get harder but it’s a pain at the same time lol. I think where we are is good and hopefully they don’t revert back to SWSH era.

I personally like scarlet and violet. I also like the choice to change the boarder color to the silver

I absolutley love paldea evolved! Just bought the Grusha SIR for myself!

It’s fantastic and scarlet and violet base set is the best base set we have gotten since xy base

I have liked SV, more so certain sets (Paldea Evolved, Paradox Rift, Paldean Fates), but some sets (Obsidian Flames, Temporal Forces) have been lackluster for me. We had really great luck with pulls from PR.

I like paldea evolved. I liked collecting the set!!😊

I like that you mention the pull rates for paldea evolved. This is a huge question for me. I know with reprints sometimes quality can change. But does TPCI change pull rates? If they do, I might pull the trigger at $130 a box with a guaranteed SIR right now. The only PE booster box I opened had 2 SIRs. It’s worth $130 with these pull rates vs $90-$100 and 1/72 odds for a SIR imo after a reprint. What does everybody think?

SV is LEAGUES better than what swsh was in its first half. Every set has at least 1 card I love and felt like I needed to have and on top of that, the tcg playability since paradox rift has been a blast

Imo yellow borders only looked kinda good on common cards, the grey borders make the illustration cards pop so much better!

Compare the artwork and hit rates from the early SWSH sets v the early SV sets. Absolute no brainer!

I personally love ripping S&V vs Swd/Shd

I love the Scarlet & Violet era. The ramped up the quality of the IRs compared to the trainer galleries of say Lost Origin I think. The IRs for base set and Paldea Evolved are underrated!

Paldea Evolved is fantastic and I also like Temporal Forces and Twilight Masquerade!

Just finished a box of temporal forces and no sir. Very painful

Of course Paldea Evolved is doing well. Along with S&V base it is one of 2 sets I completely skipped this gen to have more money for 151.

If they actually give the Paldea Evolved reprint the same pull rate as Masquerade or temporal forces, wouldn't that make the first print worth more?

Almost all the S&V are great 🔥

I enjoy each era of Pokémon but fav will always be the more vintage ones

Definitely some good S&V sets that people will want a couple years down the road

I think there's going to be a premium on first print scarlet violet because of pull rates.. oh boy people with first print runs are gunna MAKE BANK

S&V is the best art era in my opinion

Each generation offers something different and unique. But the buying public is fickle, and will gravitate to what was "in" when they first got into the hobby. It's like your favorite music will always be what was out when you were like 14-24 years old. Thanks for the always excellent content Danny!!!

I like opening packs so I'm usually buying a booster box maybe 2 plus an ETB or collection box..then any remaining cards I want I wait til I can find a good deal or trade and pick em up that way. That way I can get the cards I want without breaking the bank completely, and still get some of the joy of ripping packs.

i know you are using the words "good + bad" for the pull rates, but, those "bad" pull rates are what makes it fun for me, i see it as "good" pull rates because they are so tough. However, i do think there will be a point where it can get too tough for a card rarity, like over a case of bb.

Almost 1st?

The main reason why I like the Scarlet and Violet era is because it’s affordable right now. Once prices go up to MSRP, I’m just saying I do not like the era that much. The artworks are really nice, and there are a couple sets that I do really actually like. But I think the only reason why it’s getting some hype right now is because sword and shield is becoming less and less obtainable, and people still want to open Pokémon cards

The early days of scar+vi remind me of open celebrations where it was exciting for a minute then you realize there’s only like 6 cards in the set so after open 3 packs you have everything.

S&V era is trash. I switched to sports cards there’s more bang for your buck.

I can't seem to get behind the new art style or Pokémon of SV. There's too much scenery and clutter in the cards. Almost like they're trying to hard for color and impact. If that makes sense. IMO cards in the EX era were way better.

SV has been an extremely disappointing generation. It has been champions path after darkness abalaze after vivid voltage after steam siege etc. they seem to have really missed to mark with this generation. But it’s been extremely good for my bank account haha.

Yep. That's exactly what it is. The fact that Pokemon doesn't learn anything from previous generations is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

This whole era minus 151 has blown major chunks. Just because a few cards are popular doesn't mean anyone wants to open up this shit

I like SV151 for nostalgia reasons. Brought me back. I do like the Karp from Paldea and also the pull rate being better than everything after Paradox Rift. Other SV sets are meh, don't care about shiny baby mons. Don't care about Obsidian Flames cause aside of the Zards there is little chase. Also don't care about the new gen Pokemon. So I bought the Eevee, Chansey, Gasley, Growlithe singles from the newest sets to add to my SV151 binder. I consider them extra promo cards ;) Now if those team rocket rumours are true consider me interested once again.
