The Newly Commissioned Yaba & Oyingbo Overpass Bridge Of The Lagos Redline Rail Project
Lagos, the vibrant economic hub of Nigeria, has long grappled with severe traffic congestion, making commuting a challenging daily endeavor. The Lagos Red Line Project, an ambitious and transformative urban transportation initiative, aims to revolutionize the city's public transportation system. At the heart of this project lies the construction of different bridges to help separate both pedestrian and vehicular traffic from rail traffic .
Three of the bridges are already completed and commissioned, Pen cinema bridge in Agege, Yaba Overpass, Yaba and The Oyingbo overpass in Oyingbo have been commissioned while Ikeja Overpass is also completed and will be commission soon. Construction is still ongoing on the Mushin overpass.
In this video we will be looking at the newly constructed and commissioned Yaba & Oyingbo Overpass Bridge which are critical piece of infrastructure that promises to bring relief and connectivity to Lagosians.
These overpasses will not only offer a smoother flow of traffic but also represent the city's commitment to modernization and progress.

Those traders get strong head.... there are usually not there in the morning/afternoon when the KAI officials are around, but once is around 4.30pm - 5pm you see them putting their goods on the rail tracks. Hopefully when the redline starts operations they will leave.

The area should be heavily fenced off. The track should not be easily accessible in the first instance. Since it is not a tram, there is no functional reason for it to be easily accessible.
