I just got this speaker yesterday! It caught my eye with all the LED lights. So far I like it. The funny part is that I accidentally discovered a mode that let's you beat on it and it plays sound (it says that you can hit it to play sound in instructions but I didn't read them) its funny cause I had my speaker on my brother's remote control box and it was at an angle to where it rolled down and it played a few notes when it was rolling down. I about died laughing. The mode I discovered is @3:17

Marcus Cheng ...you can set it up so that you can bang on the unit and play drum sounds. It seems odd to me to spend $150.00 on a speaker and then use it to bang on and hit around. I keep that"feature" off.

Hold the volume up and down button for 3 seconds until you see the power light blink. Also, download Sony music center app so you can customize the sounds.

I got both 31 & 41 but I'll keep only one. I'm inclining more towards 31 because of size & price ( CAD 129.99) but I also want to keep 41 because I got it for only CAD 199.99 on black Friday deal. Oh! I might end up keeping both but I don't want to.... :) :(

Rubens Fonseca sure, so if you keep the lights off and the beat box function I got around 20 or so hours. This time changes drastically though with the lights and such on to as low as 5 hours

It DOES have 2 PassiveRadiators like all the previous Sony Speakers (X3, X33, XB3, XB30...) Why would Sony even change that? Check out GYMCADDYs Review, he put the xb31 in Water and you can literally SEE the Bass 'radiating' from the back ;)

Aaron O'Maley beach speaker, especially with more than one they all connect together is great for beach parties. The IP67 rating makes it a great beach companion and the lights look cool at night

I have my XB-41 now, and figured out how to turn it off via the app. With that said, I wasn’t aware it could be turned off from the speaker without going through the app. Thanks for the tip!

I have an LG G6 right and just ordered the V40, my G6 has been getting really slow lately and I've been only getting 3h screen on time before it dies. Couldn't imagine how an LG g3 is doing right now lol.

Julio Ruelas I know but still thanks :). I’ve heard that the Xb31 sounds worse because it has a lot of distortion even slightly above 50% volume wich the xb30 doesn’t have and the treble got worse aswell.

Dan Gage any time i didn’t bother testing it with Dragonfly Red DAC. My son was testing it while we were driving home, he already noticed a big different, he also pointed out the app that controls the speaker is very glitchy.

Dan Gage the title is for sound quality, if you base on price, yes it is economy sound quality just simply very poor for mid and high, very muddy, the bass doesn’t sound full. It might be louder than Bose.

Soundlink mini 2 sucks. If u compare the 2 of them in real life u will notice the difference.

OK HELP ME I HAVE 1 MONTH TO RETURN BUT NEED UR ANSWERS PLEASE! So i ordered this beacuse everyone says it has AMAZING BASS OMG !!! HA what a load...... so when i have this at max the bass isnt great and it somtimes distorts now what do i expect for £100 speaker..... A FKIN LOT why> well here is not a joke ... my £50 speaker has more bass and yes you can feel it trhought the floor literally! this one you cant and i mean A TINY BIT but this £50 one i have you can feel WELL my £50 is called POWERADD SOUNDFLY now im sad that this speaker has dissapointed me which is why i need ur help ... WHY DOES IT SOUND CRAP? is there a secret to the EQ or >??>? i play it on Bas mode and on live i mean yeah it sounds good sure..... bass sounds ok sure .... my £50 is WAY BETTER well i say same sound but MORE BASS this speaker looks realy cool yeah but please help me why does it sounds shit? anyway if you dont know can you answr this please/ WAHTS THE BEST SPEAKER FOR BASS 2018 FOR £100 { at least this was £100 when i bought it today XD ]
