This opening and the visuals are just out of this world. This was definitely a homage to the Wano arc and honestly my favorite One piece opening. Its almost the end, I can't believe Wano has been going on for 4 years!

Imagine knowing nothing about One Piece and seeing all those animals everywhere 😭 it’s just normal to us now

While this arc had some sad times and happy times, the opening is kind of an ode to the whole arc as a whole finishing. The image of Luffy laughing in gear 5 is some of the most stunning animation I've seen. Watching that goofy cinnamon roll grow so much over the years has been such a pleasure to experience.

It's also shown from the perspective of Momonosuke writing a journal just like Oden. It starts with him by the hand written journal, and then every scene has a circle in center screen to show him watching and you don't see him again until the very end where he is looking towards the collage of scenes

The part with luffy in the sky looks so good. somehow it matches so well with his gear 5 form.

This one is just perfect and the smile of Luffy said everything. It's not an opening of the show but RADWIMPS (who make the songs for Your Name and other shows) made a song called "Twilight" (To celebrate volume 100 and episode 1000) and honestly I think you might like it the song is really great (and the video too)

I don't know why but seeing someone who's only watched up to 100 episodes of One Piece watch the newest intro is hilarious to me

When i saw luffy running in the logo, i was caught off guard. But it was such a beautiful thing to see.

The animation in this opening is so insane and so is the animation in the newest episodes. I'm a manga reader because the anime has shit pacing, but holy shit sometimes they really just do nail it.
