You can only take up to 60 seconds of video recordings. It's geared towards capturing "moments" I guess rather than longform content.

I have these glasses and they come in handy to record my PoV drives. However when I connect it to my WiFi it does send a lot of data now sure what kind tho.

Had them for 1 week so far. And they actually are a replacement from my Bose tenor frames. I like meta verity but Bose speakers are so way better base but I’m not so intrigued by using them for music only .. but I rate them 8/10

Really thinking about getting a pair. Only thing bothering me is the fact that they came out with the stories not too long ago and already have these. I’d hate to buy these and middle of next year they’ve already announced something new.

Yes, these came out October 17th. They have a 12mp camera, way better than the older ones.

Meta the company is always wondering why their products fail in the Market. Its not the product thats the issue, its facebook. I remember attending their investor meeting and they we’re talking about how Oculus Quest isn’t doing so well because the VR hype is gone. In reality, it’s because they require a facebook account to use the quest. Rayban X Meta wont fail because of gimmicky glasses, it will fail because of facebook being associated with it.

Why not combine solar and sunglasses so you could get more than a few hours. As you would primarily i would assume wear sunglasses in the sun

Now I’m waiting for them to incorporate AI for the blind. It would be great if the current applications that can read text and describe scenes would eventually be incorporated into glasses such as those to help visually impaired people. I can’t wait. I’m sure it’s coming. 🙏🏿

The government should mandate that "ordinary/everyday" looking items such as sunglasses that have cameras on them, should have the cameras clearly identifiable with a bright orange/red ring around them - just like how toy guns have a bright orange cap at the end of the barrel. The bright orange/red ring around the cameras should be non-removable (integrated as part of the frame or something), and maybe have a non-stick surface (so that people can't paint over the ring). It would not stop everyone, but it could prevent a lot of "creepy" behavior and non-consensual recording of people. For example, a person who leaves the sunglasses in a room to stalk to someone - if it had a bright orange/red ring around the camera, it can make the camera easier to spot

These sunglasses do that already. When you click to record or take a photo, a indicator light turns on to let anyone around you know that you’re recording

And it costs an arm and a leg!

Apple tried this already. It did not sell. Fun fact: Ray Ban is not a company. It is a brand of glasses made by the Company Luxotica. They make dozens of brands of eyeglasses. Of you want to design an eyeglasses they are one of the biggest companies out there. Meta is working in collaboration with Luxotica to use their Ray Ban brand styles. Prolly cause of there solid construction, larger temple pieces will accommodate all the components without changing the look.
