Orient Japan doesn't give me the option to send the orient watch to the USA. How can I get it?
That orange has a really cool look to it. Very unique.

I'm a sucker for a burnt orange dial. Just haven't got one yet ! Nice to see you two work together and comment in each other's productions. I am a big fan Shane and Dave.
3:50 wow !!! That animation is super cool!!! Keep rewind to watch it over and over!!
Great looking watch, really nice production Dave. Really enjoying your cinematography. I've had the green kamasu for about a year and love it.
Love the orange JDM version. We all need Dave to buy them for us and send them out to us , adding on a few dollors for his time and effort.
Great show! Love how we don't need to spend a fortune for a excellent watch from an amazing company.
I’ve learned to look forward to Dave’s new videos and found I like his taste (and budget limitations). It’s also interesting how he and Shane often basically do the same watch, but in different video styles and different colorways. Keep it up!

With you all the way @kovakdavid - Dave always comes across as an all round good egg and his vids are great.
Like the handset, love the 'pumpkin pie' dial color, the rest is just ok. Thanks for showing us some alternative straps - your examples looked like a great match with the watch.
That is a great color way. It’s also great that it now has a sapphire crystal. Great review. Thanks
Another great informative video Dave! I have not added an Orient Kamasu or Mako to my collection yet. This model looks good to me!
Love my Kamasu 2 with round indices and gradient dial. When prices come down, definitely picking up the white dial version of this one. Thanks for the great review.
I own the Seiko Orange Samurai and love it. This Mako is beautiful ! Great looking watch.
Love the JDM colorway ... I liked the burnt orange Zelos recently came out with ... the dial layout also reminds me a lot of the Longine Hydroconquest.
As usual, I think you nailed the release...both pluses and minuses. Thanks for the content.
Wearing my Mako II as I watch this. Getting a III as soon as I see one below $250. Great review, Dave, thanks for showing us the JDM, always fun.
I'm not a watch guy but i've been sort of lurking in various watch channels these past few months and have gained an appreciation for the craft. I decided on a Citizen diver BNO151-09L eco-drive blue variant which perfectly fits my no fuss, highly utilitarian yet beautiful timepiece that sits between $150 to $300 budget. No luck finding it in the color I want. I finally bought the other best thing, a Casio G-5600UE-1, which I think is the most value for money G-shock with tough solar without the bells and whistles like multi-band etc. which i don't really need. Stuck a metal bumper on that thing and i'm rocking the 90s once again. I never wanted an automatic due to the price and mainly the fuss of caring for one. This JDM Orient with the orange and grey bezel did it for me. I never knew I can be so attracted to a color way. This is a testament to your skills as a videographer. I've seen photos of the Orange Diver: RN-AA0817Y but none of them renders the colors the way you made them pop in your video. I've decided that this Orient will be my one and only (maybe) automatic. Since it's a JDM, good luck to me on finding one. But if I do chance upon it in the wild, my card is getting swiped. Thanks for being the first and only channel (as of now) to feature this watch. More power and God bless.

One and only automatic? Good luck 😂
Asked Orient USA when these new Makos will be available in the States, but all they would say in response was “stay tuned”… really like the Orient mako solar chrono with the panda dial (RA-TX0203S). Great looking watches.
You're spot on about the bezel. I can understand the orange secondhand because of the color scheme but a lumed diamond tip would have been cool. Both? Anyway it is a strap monster. Even with my frkn smaller wrist I'll be waiting for the price drop. 👍
Nice look! Thank you for sharing
Arrrgggg, that looks amazing. I really don't need another diver, but if I did, I would get this in a heart beat.
Looking forward to the Chrono U Tube Komatsu drop soon. The maroon dial of the Komatsu about mid video really pop's.
That shade of orange looks like the skies here in NY right now
They are doing it right. They use the same case for Mako, Ray ll, Kamasu and just play with the dial and bezel colours. I like it a lot.
Thanks especially for the Mako/Kamasu comparison. Liking the new grey dial but, for the lume, I'd still be lining up the Kamasu as my next purchase.
NEED that Orange Mako 3
That grey dial version looks stunning, I was about to buy a tissot seastar with the grey dial, but now I'm going to get the grey dial mako for less than half the price of the tissot
I'd buy this watch. Hopefully they release this color combo in the US. Great Review 👍👍👍
Just got my grey dial Mako 3 yesterday and happy to say that the crown was bigger with much better grip..!
that's a beautiful watch, especially in that color scheme
Love the orange and grey!
These new colors are amazing, i want to get the brown/orange Mako and the green/teal Ray. I already have a Black ray 2 and a blue Mako 2, and my brother has a Pepsi Mako 2. Big fan of this Orient line !
Great review! I still like the Kamasu red dial. Always been my favorite just never purchased.
Amazing watch that! The railtrack should be carried over to the regular versions. Thanks for alerting us
Wow that color is just amazingly awesome! I really enjoy my Seiko 5KX in orange color way! Have a great day! ✌🏼😎👍🏼
Very nice. I ordered the ivory the other day..
I prefer the original Kamasu (green dial version) with rectangular applied indices, and the second hand that is red. That version is so different than anything else out there at that price point, and really stands out!!!
Tempted by the Champaign dial “Ivory” version. I have a rule that I set myself that I’ll only buy Casio, so I don’t go too deep down the rabbit hole, but the Mako 3 has me closer than anything else so far. The Bambino Small Seconds is the other closest, but with the superfluous date window and the unusual 21mm lug width, it’s a lot easier to resist. This could share a lot of 3rd party straps with my Duros and slide rule chronographs.
I would love this with a plum dial akin to the Christopher Ward Twelve
I loooove how this looks, might have to find someone in Japan to buy from...
Honestly the un-lumed seconds hand makes sense seeing that more desk-divers are gonna buy and wear this watch rather than actual divers.
I put a Strapcode beads of rice on my Kamasu and it works great. It is tapered with a rather meaty clasp that balances out the weight of the watch head.
Orient has definitely taken over Seiko's mantle as the average Joe's watch. But without the misalignment.....
Man, the orange is fire!
I have 2 Kamasus and a Mako. Only gripe (but really annoying) is that they only have about 1-1/4 thread that catch on the screw-down and its a p.i.t.a. to catch it. This burnt orange is my favorite color. Loving this dial. May just have to justify another Orient by putting this one on a jubilee.
this warm gradient orange dial is such a beauty not fair only Japan gets it lol I would take it even with the Japanese character day. Gives it a lot of character
THAT is THE color for this watch!
I love my Kamasu, but I had to replace the bracelet after six months because the hollow end links bent
Waiting for the chronograph review. It looks very promising.
Nice video 👍🏻, didnt they make the crown bigger?
Everything Orient is doing in the dive watch realm is awesome. I keep swiping my credit card.
Hi Dave. Cesar here from Texas. Good review. Any good JDM website in Japan to buy this watch. Thank you
Absolutely beautiful 😍
Really love the improvements! But until they send me a new stem for my broken Triton/Neptune, Orient purchases are on FULL STOP 🛑
Love the color, design seen already. Nice diver watch a beginner. What bothers me is that Casio Duro makes better Basel than these pricier watches. Great channel! May you please review more Swiss and some American watch brands. Much love, Milan
I didn't find this fabulous orange gradient dial one, even on the official Orient’s webpage. Where's the link?
Here's a good idea, why not have a series on your channel focusing only on jdm watches, this will definitely help those planning to go to japan and buy something special 😁
I wonder if the Strapcode fitted end links will fit a Mako USA? I know Strapcode said the ends for the regular Mako do not fit it.
Do the custom bracelets made for the common kamasu (eg strapcode) work on this chronograph?
I wish we had the railroad track for the other colours 😢
It is a beautiful watch. But I still prefer the Kamazu. Great review.
It’s gorgeous. Want! 😅
Less than a month after I received my Blue Ray2 I replaced the crystal with a sapphire. Orient should do this for the Ray2 as well. In my humble opinion it was a better watch than the Mako 2.
Orient doing what Seiko should be once again
The only thing I don't really like with the orient divers is the 22mm lug width.
I wanted to get one
The orange would look great with some tiger’s eye jewelry.
Got a Zelos mako V3 no1/200
Interesting they seem to have used the 'classic' Kamasu crown in this limited edition, whereas the crown on the standard releases has sharper teeth and is very easy to grip and operate compared to the older Kamasu one. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm not sure how many people consider the Mako II USA and actual Mako II, but it does in fact have a lumed second hand. I know, because I just looked at my wrist.
Orient is the best budget watch brand, great divers dress watches and they do a nice panda chronograph too.
Were you able to buy this on the orient website?
What is this single pass strap on the right side at 11:15 ? How are you finding it?
I'd call this colour the "rising sun" Mako III as it reminds me of a sunrise (too obvious?)
Reminds me of the considerably more expensive Longines Conquest. I like it, but the hands getting wider towards the tip is giving me issues. Pretty unbeatable at that price.
It looks exactly like my mako II. What does it have to do with kamasu?
It looks too cool on the orange nato
It's the Orient Kamako.
I really like the design. Would buy immediately, if it was available in Germany…
But this is not available in Europe right?
Just seems odd they have not improved the crown it’s the only thing that lets my Kamasu green sunburst down sometimes it’s very difficult to engage I’ve had it from new and always been the same
I do love orients but hollow end links at this price is unacceptable when there’s micro brands offering sapphire, ceramic inserts, and solid links for around £150. I get that they’re outgoings and overheads will be different but still. Im still gonna pull the trigger on the green triton this week though
I really want this watch but their site is all in Japanese. How can we order one?
Why doesnt Orient release any 38mm dive watches? Forgive me if this is a dumb question as im kinda new to the watch world.
I love the colorway. But the price. Ouch!
I struggle with this channel... my intro was watching a subscriber request for the SEIKO turtle or whatever where he basically bagged it out because he knows best.. then four weeks of schilling AliExpress and such...
What's the difference between Mako 3 and the Kamasu?
I think both Orient and Seiko are both excellent. Also Casio is nothing to sneeze at either. Why should one spend more on watches that don’t work any better or last any longer.
Hello, well firstly I would like to say that Orient is the people's watch defenitely! Secondly, in my humble beginner opinion, it is a watch wich for this increased price should features a solid end-link with its case. This stainless steel strap is good for a 150-200$ price range watch. But now this is a new price level. Please ladies and gentlemen of Orient, I humbly ask for your consideration. Thank you Dave, as always your job has been well done. Saludos!

That was one of the improvements that the Mako USA had when they brought it out (way back when), but unfortunately, it never made it to the Kamasu or this one.
I need to move to Japan because I only ever lust after JDM watches. Import fees are crucifying me!
The paradox is that the original Kamasu (RA/RN-AA000...) is still more affordable and... functional than anything from the AA08 lineup (including this one and that one dubbed "Kamasu 2" for some reason), despite having the same movement and materials. Because AA00 has better lume, fully marked bezel and - most importantly - minute and second hands that actually reach their minute/second markers. Like, despite being mechanical, it still has everything aimed at efficient time measurement under any conditions. In these AA08 models though, they had sacrificed some bits of practicality purely for the sake of design and, on top of that, are charging more for this kind of downgrade. That being said, I'd love to see something like AA0819N, but smaller in size (so that the hands actually reach the markers) and out of titanium, which would make it lighter and match the overall dial color. That is something I wouldn't hesitate to buy for sure.
ORIENT GREAT WATCH
You're right Dave, that "rootbeer" dial looks great. Pity about the lume, my Neptune lume lasts all night.
Wait, didn't you post this video before?
Me gusta el tamaño
A bit like a Planet Ocean.
That is a very cool watch, very tempting! I'm not too fond of the metal bracelets anyways, NATO straps for me all day long. Well, Father's Day is coming up... Cheers from Tokyo PS I love my Komasu, it's my daily watch.
Cool watch, but price doesn’t match the market competition.
A diver watch with chrono? What have you done, Orient?
How is it possible that a 70$ watch from the Chinese has sapphire and water resistance, but watches like Orient or Seiko sell watches from 200$ upwards with mineral crystal, and the hardlex is a lie it is just as sensitive.
Just. Fucking. Awesome.
