The New Ford Ranger Tremor SURPRISED Us When We Compared It Off-Road Against The Tacoma & Gladiator!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

( www.tfloffroad.com ) The new 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor is the closest we can get to a Raptor model in the U.S. (for now), but how well does it stack up against the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and our Jeep Gladiator Rubicon? The results are surprising!

I'm betting I wouldn't. I live at 5,000 feet and bicycle at least 4x a week. If you live at altitude, your body compensates for the decrease in oxygen, one of the body's hormones, erythropoietin (EPO), triggers the production of more red blood cells to aid in oxygen delivery to the muscles. Takes about two weeks for the effect to start. A prime reason one of the Olympic Training Centers is located in Colorado Springs, CO. But, nice try...

Automatics with torque converters multiply torque and increase leverage over the ground. So you get better maintained speed, better torque for climbing, and when the car slows down relative to the engine speed the TC multiplies torque instead of stalling. The Ranger keeps impressing me. I think those All-Weather A/T tires helped a bit, I wonder how well a plain FX4 would do on this same test compared to the Tremor package.

@@Lon1001 yeah, for example here where I live (Canada) if you don’t have that snow rating stamp ❄️ on your tires in the winter you can get a ticket. But those tremor tires are more aggressive looking thus why you pay more $ for it.

Ranger has the best tires for the circumstances. Those general grabbers atx are winter rated. Granted the snow wasn't a huge factor. But the softer compound in the cold still helps.

My '19 Ranger XLT FX4 crew cab was so good i just ordered a '23 Ranger XLT Tremor to get the best of this Gen.. before all new '24 Ranger comes out. Ranger is the all around.. do it all truck that does it well. Also a nice daily driver /wknd off rd toy. Proven Gen2- 2.3L TGDI is a beast for its size. You really don't need more in midsized truck.
