Well, most new cars will be "all electric". I really don't understand why people have this obsession with using a specific fuel. For me the turn off is the design, it has no relation at all to the legendary DMC 12. The Hyundai N 24 is a much better Delorean than this.

The reason why Hyundai N Vision 74 looks like the original DeLorean is because N Vision 74 is the remake of 1974 Hyundai Pony Coupe that was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro who later, designed the original DeLorean. This is one of the biggest reasons why many DeLorean fans love it. It has a huge connection with the original designer. Now, if it came with gull-wing doors, the transformation would be complete.

Class looking motor ! Saw a De lorean at a car event that had been cleverly converted to all electric by a wind energy company. I actually owned a DMC-12 five speed about twenty years ago. It was in great shape and most of the time I kept it in a museum about 45 mins away. It was a lot of fun and was such a unique car. It had a few design flaws, like the fuel pump relay that I had to resolder myself and a sloppy stick shift linkage, but still really cool. The rare occasions that I took it out for a ride sure attracted lots of attention and many conversations. I would let anyone sit in it if they asked and people were really respectful. Brings back happy memories...

I'm only 6'1" and my short hair was a mere quarter inch from touching the headliner, but that was alright (just some random thing I remember). I recall being surprised every time I did an oil change that the little all-aluminum engine took approx 7.75 quarts of oil and the manual stated that premium fuel was required. Tesla uses the evolutionary current design language which makes it always trending with a very pure design removing all the unnecessary things and focusing on the driver's or customer's request and everyday use similar to an iPhone when Delorean uses this method it will make the car very futuristic as they did but it destroyed the car and its iconic look that makes it retro-futuristic engaging the timeless feeling. What they failed to mention in this video (and to be fair, haven't mentioned much in their promotional material) is that this car isn't directly based on the DMC-12, but rather on the DMC-24, a 5 seat sedan that the original Delorean Motor Company planned to build, but never got the chance to. It is possible that if they have any success they may build a true DMC-12 successor in the future, but they probably determined that starting with an sporty 2-seat coupé wouldn't be the best business strategy for whatever reason.

Should’ve made some limited edition ones with flux capacitors somewhere in the back seat area just for nostalgia. I think it was quite possible that would’ve made it a collectors car for some interesting people and car collectors. Also why do all these new electric car…even concepts have the same rear end style? That round rear with the strip tail lighting. Not many original in that area. Then the more futuristic they look, it seems the harder and cheaper the seats appear. It’s like they make the outside nice but similar to almost everyone else, spend tons on the dash and censor area, and boom are like, “just throw whatever seats in there”. Sheesh!

It would be awesome if they remade the classic car literally look wise with slight updates and make that one a hybrid car with the classic options from the 80's version but updated like the current cars today meaning they want the touch screen/pad stuff ok but also have the physical switches, door straps etc. This new car the whole virtual kiss, hug stuff doesn't seem necessary but ok lol

No, he wasn't. He was a sleazy bag hole. He and Colin Chapman bled DMC dry and left it for dead because Delorean didn't care about making cars, he cared about making money and looking like a big shot. There was a piece on him somewhere on youtube that I guess got taken off but in it, they describe an earlier business interaction of his wherein he cheated the widow of some inventor of something (like how specific I'm getting?) for his own gain. I wish I could find the damn video again and post the link.
