Thanks for the video. I sold my Milwaukee light because it was yellow compared to these new Ryobi lights.

My local store has 3!! Might get one for my work toolbag. I go through flashlights like a mug. Between constantly dropping them from great heights to the batteries going to shit rather quickly I haven't found one that's durable or long lasting.

You better get one they seem to go fast! The FVL52K-FVB02 is also a very good light, it will even hang from a 2x4! I might get that light and the 1/4 rachet during the holiday season going for a sale!

This was on the Home Depot site for like 2 seconds - when I tried to order it (last week) I was able to add it to my cart and when I went to check out there was a "problem" I'm trying to get this and the little desk vacuum - I don't really have a need for the Styrofoam "knife" so I'll probably skip that one but looking forward to other USB Lithium tools and craft tools.

I definitely want the screwdriver and 1/4 rachet. I'll wait and hope for a sale but the problem is that they put them at a price point that makes them very compelling to buy! Good luck searching for one of these lights. You might have to drive a little ways like I did to get it. Had to drive about 20 mi to pick it up.

@@oneanddonediy I kept checking HomeDepot online and today (10/5/2023) they are available - I purchased one with a battery (I already have plenty of extra batteries and waiting for the 3.0Ah ones to come down a bit in price before I buy more).

Bought one a week ago (my HD had 5 in stock 😲) and was able to put it through its paces this week. I'm impressed with the light output and the magnet's holding power, however I sure didn't get 6 hours of battery life on high!! 🤣 Overall I like it. My only dislike is how you go about charging the battery. I understand them using a USB-C charging port due to the ubiquity, but IMHO it would be better if they either had the USB port right on the light, or if they had a dedicated charger you could drop the battery into like their 18v batteries.

Most lights have a stepdown to remedy heat buildup. It's a feature that is in almost all my flash lights and headlamps. Neebo, Olight Marauder mini, Sofrin, Nitcore, Flateye, ThruNite, Fenix, Liteband and Petzl. My Ryobi lithium1st gen has a longer run rate before stepdown but the run time drops significantly on full power.

I don’t like the hinge, specially when it closed, it doesn’t close completely tight… i need to have some clicks…lol.. and the light actually less bright than i expected… it is just ok for the money… have to check out the same family light from Milwaukee stick light….

I disagree. Are they DeWalt quality? No, but they're certainly better than Hobo Freight quality. You get EXACTLY what you pay for with Ryobi. If you treat them right, you'll get many reliable years out of them. I've never had one break on me, but if I did, it won't break the bank to replace it!

Look up the company TTI - if you're attitude is that the entire brand is "trash" then it may surprise you that the brand you are most loyal to might be owned by the same company as Ryobi. Are they the best power tool brand ever? NO - do they have some design flaws in some products - Absolutely. For the vast majority of home DIY'ers and even some Pro's they are certainly adequate. Perhaps the biggest "draw" is the fact they keep coming out with new and innovative products that use the same batteries that you have for other tools. The example I use with folks sour on the brand is around a corded 4.5" angle grinder - if you are going to use this tool all day every day (say for grinding welds as a pro welder) then I wouldn't suggest the Harbor Freight, Ryobi or even the Milwaukee - I'd likely look at the DeWalt or Bosch based on feedback from people who DO use these all day / everyday. I have the brushed 4.5" 18v cordless Ryobi but if I had a big job where I was going to use it for a weeks long project I'd spend the $100+ on the better tool regardless of the fact that I already own a grinder right now... Or another option is to use a coupon at HF for a $10 grinder and then after the project throw it out. The main difference is that if you use a tool to make money or depend on it to support you and your family Ryobi wouldn't be my _first choice_ but it also wouldn't be my _last choice_.
