I was in tears throughout the whole first part This is the epitome of old archeology, find a corpse take it to the museum and absolutely not call a “professional” archeologist to the place Holmes comparing them to Schliemann (pardon if there is a misspelling) as justification for WHY they should continue (he who discovered the city of Troy and excavated it by BLOWING IT UP and destroying thousands of years of history in what should have been a crime against humanity, as well as stealing historical artifacts from Greece ) is just so freaking funny, and Sherlock calling the both of them grave robbers just reinforces that The freaking old “archeology” - we just have fun and blow things up what’s that you say about protecting valuable evidence of times past - vibe has me in tears I applaud the author for that I’m just sad not everybody might get some of the references

It's not usually Doctor Watson's part to be the obnoxious one

It seem reasonable to assume that Dr Watson would recognize chain mail.

A plethora of crimes for stories. Yet its ALWAYS about death, murder, gore, violence, not entertainment for some of us.

You do understand the Arthur Conan Doyle did NOT write these stories??!! They're based on ACD Sherlock Holmes but written in the 20th/21st century by Nora Godwin.

Bog corpses do not look anything like a recently buried corpse.

Many artifacts, including human bodies, have been found in bogs, perfectly preserved for thousands of years. In fact, some bog bodies are so well-preserved that scientists can still analyze the contents of their stomachs, revealing their last meals and offering insights into ancient diets.

… this was the only one so far I really did not care for… some of the others are a bit graphic in terms of violence but this one .. I will stop there. I appreciate the stories this one just missed the mark with entertainment overly pessimistic and putting words in Holmes mouth against the church. Not necessary & did not advance the plot.

Not a very convincing story. Watson negative and sneering. Gives the impression that Watson is the man in the lead and Holmes an incompetent side kick. Offers nothing of the affection that should exist between these characters. Once Watson started 'quipping' I turn off

I’m sorry but I don’t agree with others. The voice is a bit of a monotone, no variation in pace. The story might be ok but I can’t get over Watson calling Holmes “Sherlock” and the reference to “grazing fences,” not a term I’ve ever heard and isn’t it all dry stonewalls round Penrith anyway? Just irritating.

Dreadful story. Really leans in to the Watson is an idiot trope.
