3:48 African-American was not a term ACD or anyone else would have used in that Era. It didn't cone in to wide use until 1988 when Jesse Jackson suggested it be used.

Seems from what I could find most of these are adapted from a radio drama series by the same name from 1939-1950

😂Normally I love the narrator of these stories but I'm afraid I had to turn this one off after just 10 minutes; the accent, was it Jamaica or Bradford? Definitely not 'Deep South', and it was so bad I'd rather he hadn't bothered bc I couldn't focus on the story. No, sorry, I couldn't listen to this one.
