they are so confidend to ask that much because there are a lot of people that are willing to pay it... i hate that this is a thing now and genesis is making some great cars and suv's, i hope the dealerships dont ruin the feeling of the costumers

My 2025 Prestige lands at dealership in two weeks. Had a ‘21 Prestige V6. Have a great dealership who takes care of me. Also have an X3 so I have best of both worlds. The GV80 has much better safety options than the BMW. But the BMW is more fun to drive. No question.

Close sun roof cover. Much quieter. Love our 2024 2.5T. No issues. 20K miles. Definitely would buy again

27" is incredible. Some of these vehicles have such big screens. My first tv was only 24". Crazy. I love the look of this vehicle and the interior is beautiful. What has Genesis long term reliability been like? 5 years? 10 years?

The 4 seat massage and 4 wheel steer in the G90 with air shocks is still out there.

Great video! They left what didn’t need to be changed, while updating stuff to keep it relevant. Great refresh. Only reason I didn’t pick a 24’ GV80 over my 24 MDX Type-S is only because I wanted a more engaging driving experience, and air suspension.

Beautiful car, but at this price ,I doubt people will take this one over a bmw or a gle... People that can afford cars in this price range will go with the tried and true brands. Genesis should have kept the price lower to entice a larger segment of buyers

Wholeheartedly agree. I could not get past the horrific steering wheel (fixed on the ‘25) so never considered this and bought an X5. TheGV80 is a nice looking car, but this is not (yet) a proven luxury brand and there is a lot of anecdotal evidence neither the cars nor the dealers live up to it. Just as when Lexus arrived 35 years ago, you better offer a financial reason for me to try this - and they don’t. Not for me. Yet.

Yup. Especially when people with that money to spend are looking for the image and prestige, not some no-name brand like Genesis. As much as I love what Genesis is doing, and their exterior and interior design is embarrassing other brands, they need to lower the prices until their brand is very recognizable.

There is a reason their resale values are low. I have read that Kia/Hyundai motors dont last. You should do a ideo about resale values and reliability of these Korean vehicles compared to other makes.

The new vehicles are light years beyond the Kia / Hyundai of the 90s / early 00s - now match production quality with most US / Japanese brands (they brought over a lot of the engineering and tooling knowhow). But the rep is hard to shake.

I have a Kia with 260.000 kilometers, all original and not a single problem. Here in South America, kias and Hyundais are known for be the best engines, many used as taxi with over a million kilometers and still working.

I rented one on SIXT that had 3k miles. After 80 miles, all lights came on the dash. No traction control, no lane departure assist, etc.... the guys at SIXT said they have had issues with this truck all.the time

The screen is nice, although if it goes bad, I imagine it will cost a lot to replace.

Love this version of GV80 but I cannot justify buying a 75+K SUV with terrible gas mileage

I watch all the TFL stuff. Love the content except I have always found a Roman a odd duck. Now the no shorts on camera? He's a REAL odd Duck. I own 1 pair of long pants, wear shorts every day. Grow up Roman!

Rented one of these a couple weeks ago for a work trip .. nice car but engine and transmission were boring and unrefined

Major Engineering flaw: The button on the rear window can get accidentally activated by: 1: Snow & Ice buildup on the rear window 2: Cleaning snow & ice off rear window 3: And activated while using wiper in heavy snowfall conditions Also, if the switch leaks water it can short out the system, cause mold and lead to corrosion especially in areas that use road salt. Bad location.

So pops won't allow videos wearing shorts, but wearing your shirt unbuttoned and your ball cap on backwards is just fine? Interesting 🤔

Beautiful vehicle, I got the x5 cus I live in napa and we have windy mountains roads so when I test drove the gv80 it immediately was a no go for the floating. Great car tho, I guess I’m the one who cares about driving dynamics.

For the same price of a German I’d buy European

Some great cars are absolutely ruined by the stereotype of people who drive them. While I might love a GV80, I can not live with the thought of being viewed as a GV80 owner.

Absolute garbage brand. Never ever buy a Genesis, Hyundai or KIA. These vehicles will keep you poor. I would buy a 10 year old Lexus over this Genesis.
